My MCX got a few changes after I got the updated carriage assembly.
Swapped out the skeletonized fix length folder for the kinder gentler collapsible.
Swapped the T-2 Micro out for the Strike Eagle in a Spuhr mount.

6.5 Grendel with some Seekins, Hiperfire, Raptor AXTS, Magpul, Atlas/HHC, ARC M10, EGW, and JP love... Awesome accuracy with 120 and 123gr ammo! Took me a little bit to find the best scope to fit that rifle, and of the 4 or 5 different ones I tried on it, I finally settled on the NF F1 Atacr 4-16, and it's a perfect fit for that rifle out to the distances I shoot it at!

SF? Please give us more details on this one

Sorry haven't been on here in awhile. This is one of our shop guns, it's a 16 I usually run it with a socom 556. The oss is great for keeping the blow back down but to be honest its not that much different and I don't like the length that it adds. I have a couple auto AR's in my personal collection and none of them compare to this thing in full auto. On my 300blk running fa I can put maybe a handful out of 40 on a pepper popper at 100 yards. With this it is every 2nd or 3rd is a hit. Not very practical, but It is a lot of fun.

20" 6.5 Grendel

Would you please comment on your accuracy, bullet choice and velocity with that barrel length? I've been in the market not for a while for a 6.5 G and in preparing to make that decision. Your input would be very greatly appreciated. Intended use of rifle is for 4-600 yard hunting and longer range steel planking. Any and all input is more than wanted.

Sorry this is my first 6.5 Grendel, all I've been able to do so far is adjust the gas block and break in the barrel. I went Mon and our range doesn't open again until Tomorrow, it was so windy Mon my target wouldn't stop moving so I just did a hasty zero with my scope and then called it a day. Hopefully I'll have better luck tomorrow. I use the Hornady Black 123gr ammo.

You might find better answers on the 6.5 Grendel forums?

Some Daniel Defense love. The Larue RISR and Badger 1.40" unimount are absolutely dead center for my eye with a solid cheek weld. As good as my AI AX is adjusted.

Beautiful. How is your 17 performing? SOCOM seems to have largely replaced the Mk 12 with the SCAR 17 so they must be decently accurate...?? Also, how well does the skinny light barrel hold up in 10 shot groups and such? Any heat-walking? And just curious, is the barrel actually free-floating on them?

I love it. One of the best semi autos I've owned. I have roughly 2500 rounds through my mine and I have never had a failure. Thus far I have only taken it out to about 400 yrds. But it is very accurate out to there. I use 168g Amax and at 100 yards it'll hold roughly 1 MOA from the bench on a bag. I have only fired rapid fire though a whole magazine a couple of times and on those occassions it did open up a bit. The barrell is free floated by the way. Oh yeah, it's very clean as well. Two or three mags and it barely dirties a patch. My old DPMS AR-15 would look like a coal mine after the same treatment.

It's a pretty pricey toy, but if you have the cash to blow it's worth it.

Yes sirSir. A tad redundant, however with the 300wsm being a 65k psi round/cartridge, Asi & I decided there could be a time when the added leverage could be of some advantage...so she got the Radian raptor Nib model.
Thank you for responding!
I hope 1 day soon I'll get her finished and broke in. She wears a 26.5" ultra match stainless steel bbl and I hope to shoot her long distance
