Anyone running a Vortext PST on a .50 BMG?

I was recently running a 16X on my Armalite AR50 but decided to search for more magnification (I've got more room to sling lead now). I'm looking at a 20x SS as a baseline but I like the PSTs.

    What about a Trijicon 6-24x50?

At the top of my list is a Nightforce benchrest. They seem to be doing well on the 50s but are on the higher end of the cost spectrum.

I wouldn't use a NF benchrest scope unless you plan on staying within 1k yards. You will run out of elevation.

I have an ar50. The guy I got the .50 from had the NF 8-32br on it. He let me borrow the NF to try it out. I shot it at 1000 with no problems. The ar-50 ha a 15moa base built in. If you want to shoot further they sell a 50moa base for it. If you are worried about the limited adjustment of the NF then the trijicon wont help you either. I wouldn't recommend a fixed 20x. I'm guessing in alabama you will get a nasty mirage like we get down here. Last time I went i could notice the mirage at 14x. I wouldn't want to be stuck with 20x.

How far do you plan on shooting it? And at what?

I am planning on picking one up for the barrett as after the rifle my price point is low and these seem great as I had ran the Vipers on previous rifles with no complaints.

I have an el' cheapo Osprey 6-24X50mm on my AR50 & surprisingly it works GREAT! It's really clear & accurate. I can't believe it works so well for a cheap scope. It was only $175.00 at the gun show & they're about $200.00 online. Check one out & save yourself some cash. I highly recommend it.
