Black Friday followup - shipping delays?

This is an observation/FYI thread, not a gripe thread. I'm curious about how many of us will experience delivery delays once our BF purchases actually leave the vendor.

I placed orders with three different companies and got timely shipping notices from all. I also had another item in transit from a previous transaction. So total of four. Two shipped UPS, one UPS/USPS, and one FedEx.

As of today, one UPS package is two days late, one is one day late, and the UPS/USPS one is one day late. FedEx pkg due Friday so no delay there as of yet.

I have ample sympathy for the delivery people. Wondering if the predicted/scheduled delivery dates are unrealistic....

Bad weather around the US is slowing shipping. If packages have to go to or through an area affected, it will be delayed.

While I did already receive one of my BF orders, the rest seem to be taking much too long. Some are just slowly in transit, while others took a while to actually leave the vendor...

The only one I am expecting I paid a little extra for 2nd day air to ensure it got there before I do plus a little extra wiggle room due to weather.
Wouldn't have ordered anything honestly but my cheapo tube micrometer that I have been expecting to crap out for years finally did at the most inopportune time a couple weeks ago.

I got a tracking number very fast for FedEx. But still waiting on FedEx to receive the package.

I’m sure vendors are swamped though.

XLR chassis and accessories, ordered Monday the 25th, shipped the 25th and rifle completed the 29th.
That's the good part... my online only use debit card got hit on the 28th by cyber thieves, I suppose saving me alot of $$. Banks fraud dept. is on the job.
Brownells order arrived at PO on the 2nd, obviously tampered with, I refused delivery. Was supposed to have a 44" one piece cleaning rod and boxes of Bergers. Box was about 18" long with the ripped open side clear taped shut,could see a green air bag stuffing, weight said nothing inside....refused delivery and took pictures. Called Brownells and another package is on it's way.

I ordered an AMP annealer as well - hit the buy button less than 60 seconds after the sale went live. FedEx tracking says mine was picked up early Monday night and was in Texas on its second hop early this morning. Expected deliver was tomorrow (Friday) but has now changed to "tomorrow pending." If it was in Texas this morning, I don't think it's gonna get here tomorrow...

Other packages have been "out for delivery" for one or two days. So theoretically at least they're in the neighborhood...

Same here. Im giving them the benefit of the doubt right now. I had a pending charge on my account, but that disappeared a couple days ago, so I'm a little worried there...

My Amp shipping label was created on Friday, shipped Tuesday. Out for delivery today. I leave for a trip at 3:45am tomorrow.

I ordered a x ray on BF. Recieved the purchase confirmation email. But I haven't heard anything since. Still waiting on a shipped email/tracking number email. ?

I just went a reread their website. It says stocks usually ship in 2-3 days and they don't always send a shipping notification. If you don't get your stuff in 2 weeks, call them.

My only real concern is that they haven't charged me yet....

I've already received my 2 SSA-E's from PSA on Monday. Yesterday I received my order from Midway, APA, and Superlative Arms. Seems like everybody is getting things out as fast as possible. Downside, somebody got one of my C/C's while ordering online.

My FedEx package and both my UPS packages are delayed. FedEx is still slowly making its way across the country (AMP annealer), showed up in Memphis overnight. I don't think they'll meet the expected delivery date of today.

I am getting annoyed with UPS, though. One package has been "out for delivery" Tuesday, Wednesday, and yesterday. About 10:30 last night, the "out for delivery" status posted at 2:37PM in the afternoon changed to "destination scan" with the same 2:37PM time stamp, and hasn't changed.

Interestingly, my other UPS package - from a different vendor in a completely different part of the country - shows that same status change, at the same time. That parcel has now been "out for delivery" twice and is now back in limbo.

I'm getting suspicious that something is going on in the Durham, NC distribution center....

EDIT: four hours after I posted this, both my UPS orders showed up. UPS status went straight from "Destination scan" to showing up on my porch. Delivery done by a young woman in jeans and hoodie driving a U-Haul box truck. I guess UPS be busy.... happy to have my stuff. Lesson learned.

AMP and Area419 gear arrives yesterday. I can’t say enough good things about both these companies. They both responded very quickly and shipped timely as well.

We (KRG) only charge cards when an item has shipped/is shipping that day. I wouldn't worry too much about the charges dropping off for now. I'll post in here when all the black Friday orders have shipped and then if you haven't received your shipping confirmation we'll figure it out and get it sorted. Might add a few extra days but you'll get your items so don't worry. Thanks guys,

I never even got onto the site for the krg sale. And when I emailed them about what I was doing wrong they said, qoute, " the site is overloaded, you should just go somewhere else. "
