Cincinnati
I’m relocating to the Cincinnati area this summer. Things will be hectic for a while but work will settle and I will be in need of practice soon enough.

I need new connections and range options locally. Whenever I shoot, I like to make a day of it so I don’t mind driving a bit (~2.5hrs) to access 800+yds.

SH is a great community so I’m reaching out here first:

Anybody out there willing to offer suggestions? Feel free to PM me if you don’t like the idea of broadcasting any preferred spots —> I’ve seen some of my favorite public ranges ruined by careless and disrespectful folks who think they’re having fun.

I’m not averse to the idea of joining a club or group; past experience proves that exclusivity is a good thing, and the reality of the situation is it takes a little work, a little money, and a fair measure of respect and accountability to maintain a proper range.

200-1,000 yards, with the opportunity to shoot 1,100-2,300 occasionally. Shoot 2 weekends a month from about March through October.

NRA XC, MR, LR Nationals held on the same range; NRA ELR as well.

"Only" 600 yards, but a great place to shoot, very close for you, and a great group of guys. Great range for load testing and getting solid zeroes because it is relatively flat, but very sheltered.

Much obliged.

Welcome, I just moved last fall to the Mason area. I have made it up to Thunder Valley once and Rayners twice. Thunder has Targets our to a mile and Rayners our to 1000 yards.

I am currently on the waitlist for Miami Gun club they have a 600 yard range but my understanding I will be waiting a while. They do hold public matches though.

For load Development I had been going to Sprinb Valley which is a state owned range but it’s closed till fall 2019. So I need to find something soon. Probably look into Middletown gun club.

Have you had any luck finding any places since moving to the area?
