CMP 40X in a USMC return stock

Anyone done this yet? <span style="font-style: italic"> Sorry if I missed a thread before posting.</span>

What was needed to be done? ie rebedding, barrel channel, mag well mods. etc.

I have a CMP rifle coming and two USMC return stocks sitting in the closet for projects.

The 40-X heavy barrel will fit the return barrel channel. Just need to relieve the lug area because of the 2 degree taper used on the M40A1 and rebed. Just use the floorplate as is to cover the mag well. I had mine in one for awhile.

I can't find it right now, but I know I saw one within the last couple of weeks, either on here or on rimfirecentral.com . It was in one of the CMP 40X threads... looked pretty good!

Don't forget the M40 trigger mod. The 40X rimfire will need it too.

I have not been following the stock threads - what is the trigger mod that needs to be done?

The front of the trigger housing needs to be notched and the bolt release lever relieved. I am not sure if the 40X's adjustment screw is going to pose a problem or not.
