This would make a great tattoo!
Thanks, Dude, always a method to the madness. This would make a great tattoo!
Hey, Dude, you'll have to jog my memory on "bolt tool." Do you mean for disassembly for Gen 1 and 1.2?Two quick ones Mike.
I don't recall mention of the bolt tool in the recent posts. I wouldn't want to be without mine.
And thanks for choosing to go forward with Insite in Canada.
You mentioned that you are running a one man show ... any chance your youngest was truant all last week?
Thanks Mike
Yeah, that was after me. Looks like it's meant to cam the bolt shroud off to disassemble the post Gen 1 bolts.
Yessir, PM cuz I always used my handsYup, and the he-man sponsored shooters just use their bare hands but a few of us old creakers like'em.
So they were PM ... post-Mike.
There's a joke in there somewhere....I just know it.Have you considered hiring someone to handle customer relations?
Sounds good Dude, shoot me an email, [email protected], and I'll "green flag" you in my system.I am interested in the spare part kits I guess. Never know how these will hold up. Have a Gen 1 and three 360’s.

Gotcha. The Gen 1 bolt shroud is threaded and Gens 2 and 3 are cam lock. To disassemble Gen 1, there's a different tool.Yeah, I'll need one of those if you make them. I'm an "old creaker" too. I've never taken the bolt apart on my Gen One.
The comments I saw were them getting roasted.

Some serious flaming going on.I would have like to have read some. I am a voyeur at heart.
Any other payment options ??Mornin, Fellas,
The data entry is going well to get everyone plugged into my bookkeeping software and as I've read every email, it's funny that all three people still using AOL have emailed me.
As one can imagine, I've sifted through a lot of information in your emails, but I don't have all the info I need to discern who has what generation of action. So, DON'T do anything right now, but what can be expected next is an email from me (mass email style), where I'll simply ask, "What generation action do you have?" If you know the answer to this, simply reply with "Gen X" in the subject line. If you have a single shot, simply put "V22S". In the body of the email, please provide your full name, address and phone number. Please do not write anything else, anywhere else.
For those of you that do not know what generation you have, the easiest way to tell is by the bolt release. I'll edit this post later today and add pictures of each bolt release.
Once I have the info, I'll organize a few details and keep moving forward. Also, when appropriate, I'll be accepting payments using the CASH App, which keeps me off the phone and provides some small level of "automation" for the process.
Onward and upward....

At the moment, there isn’t. What would work for you?Any other payment options ??
Wasn’t there two versions of the gen3 with slightly different bolt stops/releases? I had an early one I kept breaking them and they machined my early one to take the later wider one…Mornin, Fellas,

Yessir, there was a bolt release revision for the stop surface, but looking at the two releases from the outside, one can't tell a difference. I'll be making the revised Gen 3 release.Wasn’t there two versions of the gen3 with slightly different bolt stops/releases? CC's always work if this app handles 'em. "old school" guy here.Any other payment options ??
I assume I have the latest Gen 3 V 360 since I just got my Vudoo in February. Would this be the case?Yessir, there was a bolt release revision for the stop surface, but looking at the two releases from the outside, one can't tell a difference. I'll be making the revised Gen 3 release.

Yessir, CCs down the road, but processing them requires a lot of my time/attention that I'd rather use to ship parts and design new stuff. The CASH App is very fast and one's CC, Debit Card, Bank Account is linked to it and it's secure.CC's always work if this app handles 'em. "old school" guy here.
Yes.If anything is done under the guise of innovation that doesn't properly serve this equation:
Accuracy and precision are two measures of observational error.
Accuracy is how close a given set of observations are to their true value.
Precision is how close the observations are to each other.
Is it really innovation?

What if we have the original bolt stop/release and want or need one?Yessir, there was a bolt release revision for the stop surface, but looking at the two releases from the outside, one can't tell a difference. I'll be making the revised Gen 3 release.

Based on the revision made to the release, there's corresponding revision made to the receiver to allow the wider stop feature through the opening. Not a difficult revision and I imagine, very few will need it.What if we have the original bolt stop/release and want or need one?
Dude, shoot me an email ([email protected]) and we'll work this into the parts kits for Gen 2 and above. If anyone is interested in the 3D Part file for this Gen 3 tool, send me a PM. I made it a combo tool with a mag loader.

Mike, I am happy to hear that you are excited. Can’t wait to see what the next thing you come up with for us to blow all our money on!Ok, info is continuing to pour in on who needs parts kits and some have sent what Gen(s) they have, which is noted internally via color code. I'm getting closer to sending out the mass email (all blind copies) I mentioned in post #11,429 and after you receive it, please reply as outlined. Those that have already told me what you have will not be part of the mass email.
This is a huge effort to create and organize an efficient infrastructure to ensure proper inventory levels for each generation action and to make sure everyone gets the correct parts kit(s). Once I have the process dialed via the in-house color codes, and when I have inventory to ship from, I'll start taking orders. I've continued to jump ahead for some that are stuck and give away parts that I have in my parts bin.
Also, for those needing a bolt disassembly tool for Gen 2 and Gen 3, it will be available thanks to a collaboration with @chutinlead. We'll also come up with a tool for Gen 1 and Gen 1.2. Lastly, action wrenches won't be immediately available, but will be made available once parts kits are flowing.
The DeLane Development Group, group page on FB has blown up with requests to join and I'm approving them almost as they come in, so be patient if I haven't immediately approved you. To say everyone is excited, including me, is an understatement. Keep it coming, Guys.

don’t leave out the leftiesThe first round of parts set to hit inventory are cocking pieces, scope bases (0, 20, 30, 40, 60 MOA), bolt knobs (all sizes), and thread protectors (all sizes).
All 22LR firing pins, ejectors, and side bolt releases are next to get running. All springs will be running in parallel.
MB
Not level laterally? You know, my recent Vudoo was slightly off level so far as the rail to receiver relationship or at least I thought so when leveling the scope. Worth bothering with a new base?
Yes, by a RCH. Axially it’s obviously not level. Not level laterally?

Yep,Yes, by a RCH. Axially it’s obviously not level.I doubt it’s worth messing with? Scopes rotate in rings for a reason.
The problem is one of 2 things we have seen, if it is cerakoted it most likely has too much cerakote in the pin pocket or it is not deep enough. An 1/8" endmill will solve that problem and allow the rail to sit flush to the action if you're the DIYer kinda guy.You know, my recent Vudoo was slightly off level so far as the rail to receiver relationship or at least I thought so when leveling the scope. I assume a late 2024 Vudoo is cerakoted. Hand tap or drill good enough? I don’t have a workspace to fixture or drill press. The problem is one of 2 things we have seen, if it is cerakoted it most likely has too much cerakote in the pin pocket or it is not deep enough. This is what I use to fix the issue.I assume a late 2024 Vudoo is cerakoted. Hand tap or drill good enough? I don’t have a workspace to fixture or drill press.
A proper end mill is best (like @David Lott posted), as it has no point like a drill and will clean the entirety of the blind hole for the pin. It's best to have no, or a very small, corner radius.I assume a late 2024 Vudoo is cerakoted. Hand tap or drill good enough? I don’t have a workspace to fixture or drill press.

Perfect. Pin vise and a square end mill, I can do that. This flat nose works great,
Put a feeler gauge under the pic rail and see how much you need to remove, usually a thousandths or 2 is all it needsPerfect. Pin vise and a square end mill, I can do that.
