Happy New Year to the 'Hide!

Just wanted to keep everybody updated on some news I just received from Eberlestock. As many of you are already aware, 2010 was a roller coaster for Eberlestock. In late January, a warehouse fire destroyed a large portion of their inventory & put into chaos their inventory for most of the year. Regardless, they are moving forward & have announced some news & changes for 2011 that I want to share here:

--the Gunslinger II has now been adopted by the US Navy SEALS as their pack;
--the G4 Operator has now been adopted for the Israeli Defence Forces Sniper Program;
--two new camo patterns have been added to the hunting pack line, Hide-Open Western Slope and Hide-Open Rock Veil;
--a softer, waterproof fabric called NT-7 will be used with the hunting pack lineup;
--the addition of FOUR new packs to their lineup: the Gunrunner, Fastback, and Destroyer, and Battleship. I am working on a release date along pics & specs of these packs as I type.;
--the addition of a Scope Cover with Crown Shield to the catalog. The available colors are black, dry earth & Multicam. I received a demo unit a few weeks ago & have been impressed;

Ok, now for some "bad" news...

By January 31, you'll see advertised prices on deltaoutdoorsman.com (and all other Eberlestock dealers nationwide for that matter) for all Eberlestock products reflect the company's "MSRP" quoted on their website. This change is a requirement in order to keep authorized dealer status. The company has decided to eliminate "MAP" and go with one universal quoted price for all dealers. This doesn't mean that I won't continue to offer 'Hiders special promos on all Eberlestock packs & equipment. What it does mean is that you'll see higher advertised prices. As always, just get in touch via PM or email/phone with what you're looking for & I'll give you the 'Hide member promo for the specific pack.

There will be more updates to come but this is what I have for right now. Thanks again to LL & the 'Hide for allowing deltaoutdoorsman.com to be a supporter on this great website!

I would also like to point out the same thing.

Unfortunately no, they don't have a "custom" shop for different camo patterns. Eberlestock will on occasion do a batch of packs that uses a non-cataloged pattern but these packs are usually custom ordered & not added to the regular lineup.

Let me know if they ever do a Natural Gear camo pattern in the J107 or J34 pack. By the way can you PM me with prices for these two packs?

Thanks
