Just received my Hensoldt and very pleased. A few questions for the HIDE fellas.

1) Does Hensoldt issue a TM or manual for their optics? If not, can someone point me to a download?

2) I noticed that the stadia terminates at the vertical and horizontal point of aim the ends are blunt and not pointed as described in the .pdf detailed view. This is no problem...would like to know. Any special POA techniques?

3) Is it normal for the elevation turret index to be ever so slightly off center? Once again easily dismissed if it will not worsen.

4) Although it will not move much, which lens caps are recommended and will not interfere with diopter adjustment?

This may seem "nit-picky" but I like to know everything about my gear and square it and myself away. The images resolve very well for me and the forgiving eye relief sits well with my ring height / stock weld...I like this scope. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Re: Info needed: Hensoldt 4-16X56 FFP NH1 Owners

I have a 4-16 NH1 on my TRG 22 in 260. I love the scope!

1. I ordered my rifle with everything but my suppressor from Europtic and I did not receive a manual or box. It did come with an olive cordura pouch with wrench and cleaning kit.

2. I have not had any problem with the reticle/gun achieving 0.2-0.3 moa accuracy out of my TRG 22 out to 680 yards in good conditions! I, however, was used to shooting iron sights and find the post in the reticle very similar.

3. My elevation turret is slightly off center. Not enought to worry about or lead to confusion. The windage alignment is dead on.

4. I just use the lens caps that came with the scope.

This scope is just so easy to get behind and use. I think you will enjoy it very much! Mount it and shoot with it! What rifle are you putting it on?

1. You can call Europtic for the manual. If you can't reach them, PM me your email and I'll send you a copy.

2. Double check your reticle at the highest magnification. It should be pointed.

3. Can't help you here. Mine are centered.

4. I'm using Butler Creeks and they work fine, though I don't touch the diopter once I have it set.

Thank you gentlemen. I need that TM in order to properly torque this thing. Why is it not automatically shipped with one...weird. I'll call EO / Alex today.

The manual you will get will be for the regular 4-16 FF with the mil-dot. The Germans have not printed the manuals with the NH-1 reticle specs in them yet, thus the reason you didn't get one with your scope. The turrets are not going to get any worse. You can try removing the o-ring around the turret body and it should line it back up. The center post is pointed, its just not a pronounced point. Butler Creeks will work, if I am not mistaken you will need 14 for the Ocular, and 47 for the Obj.
