Hi guys,
Getting my first AR
Live in shitty NY and must have stock pinned
So I need to figure out what my LOP needs to be
I am 15.25 on all my shot guns
Will it be the same??
Any idea on where it should be pinned
Looking at the LMT SOPMOD???
Thanks
John

Re: LOP for an AR??

Can you have it pinned 2 clicks out from the collapsed position?
that's where i put mine and never move them

Re: LOP for an AR??

I'd vote that you get a Magpul UBR and figure out where you like it then get it pinned. No one on the internet can tell you the exact length it needs to be for you. Good thing about that stock is that you can move your head position and still be touching stock and not buffer tube. Find a good medium between the position you like for iron sights and the position you use for whatever optic you have mounted. Pin it there.

Re: LOP for an AR??

thank you guys so much
i am going to be a little screwed that my FFL has to Receive it PINNED!!!
so i will try to get a feel for it and go for it
then i guess i can buy a stock get the feel i like and pin it
stocks can come to NY un pinned right?????????
what a stupid rule
I understand it
but guns do not kill
PEOPLE KILL
I guess we do not want them to be so EFFICIENT?????
at close range i can do a lot more damage with my browning home defense 12 gauge, 7 shot, 3.5 mag., with adjustable stock!!!!!
than my AR
have a nice weekend to all
can not even order my new gun
EVERYONE AT THE DAMM SHOT SHOW!!!

...........WISH I WAS THERE :)
