In high school (1984) went to Germany with German class. We visited the US cemetery in Luxembourg. The rows of crosses made an impression. But in the center was a small rotunda. Walking in there chilled me to the bone. It felt like the spirits of all those men were in there with us. I’ve never experienced that feeling again. Not sure I want to, either.

3 Days in Gettysburg- Less than half of the markers...
Vietnam- over 58K...
Normandy, France. June 6, 1944, about 4.5K Allied soliders killed in a single day.
Antietam... in one day- over 20,000 casualties, 4,000 dead... in ONE day.
The picture says more than I can. This holiday is great for some- BBQ's with hotdogs and hamburgers, long weekend for others, heck even some community pools open this weekend. For others- it's going to be a tough weekend...Stay strong Hide.
