Hey Crosshair,
The SWFA SS 16X42 came in today.
Overall finish is impressive, nice pebble black.
Rear focus smooth, but tight.
X/Y clicks firm, tight and audible. X/Y turrets finger friendly
MilQuad? Reticle: sharp, and contrasty on a bright field.
What's a 'MilQuad'?, /'No' tech manual.
Lens Hood in place.
Allen wrench, okay?
No caveats on zeroing.
'No' Technical Manual.
Plain White Box, impressive; far too, too many scopes come in really nice and snazzy boxes and no go for the scope. I'll take this.
But!, where's the damned technical manual?!
Butler Creek, flaps okay? Ordered them.
Even got the really nice B/C promo sheets that came with them.
But, where's the damned technical manual?!
Honestly guys [from SWFA] is this one of those "...yer' big enough to figger' it out on yer' own scopes..."
This may well be a good scope; went on line to lots of other forums and the vast consensus is that this is a very good scope system; but, the lack of a technical manual seems to me to be a really bad start here, especially as I ordered another [SS10X42] to complete the 40X.
Hey, even 'Barska' [with a really snazzy box four color box] has a technical manual you have to be multilingually multicultural to read.
What's up with that?
regards
