Years ago I had a (LL Bean made) A-1 that was really great. I even machine washed it a couple times.
Then, when I was riding, I had Schott make me a beautiful jacket in horse hide, as it is the traditional hide for the originals. I still wear it often, and afer ten plus years of wear, it's just starting to look broken in.
I found some genuine G-1 and A-1 jackets. More amazing than that, I found them in my size. I know the A-1 well from my experience, but wanted feedback on the G-1, best would be anyone with first-hand experience with both, so they could highlight the pros and cons of each.
Maybe a tall order, but I think there is a good density of former military on this site who may have the experience I don't have on this subject.
