RIP Charlie, prayers to his family and loved ones.
Never heard or saw of him be demeaning towards anyone. He was genuine and really tried to question with thoughtfulness and logic in an effort to reach people and make them think.
He will be missed by many.

I agree. That said because I think the neck shot from 200 yards was a deadly miss. The shooter was "probably" aiming center mass or a head shot (doubtful). So, looking for a relatively inexperienced shooter or an average experienced mediocre shooter.
Isn't it crazy how there is alleged footage of a prone shooter on that roof yet no cameras on all the campus caught him going up there? Surely the entrance to roof access is internal and has security footage in the hallways and stairwells, especially mid day on campus.
Yet they waste their on site resources arresting a kid with a bb gun not even closely matching the shooter profile or rifle.

To be fair, any internal CCTV security camera video is going to not be publicly available. It would be silly to think you would be seeing even a few seconds of any security system video at this point.
So, just because you haven't seen it splattered all over X or here doesn't mean there isn't video of the shooter or that it isn't being reviewed/used.

We all want info now, now now. When we get it unvetted, premature or from the instant news cycle... we blame the folks who are undoubtedly flat out following leads, mostly into dead-ends. Remember the Boston Bombing? 100 hours of work to get the bomber(s). That was almost 4 days of running stuff down. It's not even been 10 hours.
Two folks questioned and released? One of whom (blue shirt guy) supposedly was claiming "I did it"? And I thought I heard in the press conference... is still being held for obstruction but has been cleared as the shooter? If not for the Interwebz and the "Jump on it" news cycle... those investigative blind alleys would not even be a blip on the radar.

My hope would just be that they'd release to the public to nab that bastard. A literal billion people may see that person in the next week compared to just the police/investigators.

A 200 yard across the ground shot at a difference of 40 feet in elevation… assuming the shooter used something like a range finder to determine straight line distance… that only account for hardly 2 feet. The POI is not going to shift several inches from POA if it’s a supersonic full power rifle round.
