    He is at NIH.

Bunch of govt functionaries lecturing him on why there can not be a Corona virus inoculation any time soon.

    They are lecturing him.

Im expecting in a minute he is going to get up kick Dr Fauci in the ass and say "I don't give a fuck how long it used to take, Get me a vaccine next week or you are fired!"

The media takes Trumps "sparring" with Fauci as ignorance and I'd say it's leadership.

The South lost the CW because Lee told Early "If practicable" at Gettysburg instead of saying "Get your ass up that hill for fucks sake or I'm going to have Traveller shit in your mouth!"

Trump needs to private sector pressure these apparatchiks.

Put Gene Kranz' dead body in charge we will have a vaccine on Monday.

Why isn't the good Dr. advising Trump to protect those at most risk of popping off and clogging up the healthcare system?

That could have a real positive impact today.. not a year from now.

The care and protection of elderly facilities question was asked and addressed by Azar.

I had the opportunity at a former employer to listen to Mr Kranz speak on safety and culture.

Amazing individual and certainly we as a nation could use a few more super stars like him. Super stars that don’t view themselves as super stars (which is why they are indeed SUPER). They understood teamwork.

Trump asked if we could just use the flu vaccine to protect us against the coronavirus.

    Embarrassing.
Why is that embarrassing? Isn’t the coronavirus related to the common flu virus? Do you know if there is a large enough difference between the two viruses that the flu vaccine would not exhibit some level of efficacy against the coronavirus? Has the standard flu vaccine been used prophylactically yet?

Negative, the coronavirus is related to one of the types of common cold, by my understanding, as well as SARS, MERS, and a variety of other human-affecting coronaviruses that have been around for ages. So a flu shot probably wouldn't help, but I still wouldn't say it's embarrassing. For all we know, a flu shot COULD help facilitate a better treatment, but since there's no cure for any form of coronavirus we've experienced and there doesn't seem to be a terribly effective type of treatment...

Thanks for the information. I would be interested if the flu vaccine could reduce the effects of the coronavirus rather than act as a cure.

Personally I doubt it but the symptoms of COVID-19 seem to be fairly similar to a bad cold mixed with some of the extra vulnerability of flu patients to, say, pneumonia or bronchitis. It may well be possible that a flu shot could help reduce the effects, although I have no idea how well one virus would interact with the other. At the very least it could be a jumping-off point for COVID-19-specific development. Maybe.

But I'm not a doctor or a medical professional or a scientist, I haven't played one on TV, and I haven't stayed at a Holiday Inn recently, so that's just speculation.

Like any flu virus, Wont his strain of Flu virus work threw it's natural cycle like any other ? , it will eventually peak and then regress and fad away .
I don't think ? there is enough time to develop a working vaccine, test it for positive results, and then produce the millions of doses of vaccine needed to be distribute, before the this new flu strain runs it's life cycle and fades .

The problem is that it's not a flu virus. But, on the other hand, cold viruses are generally a seasonal occurance, while SARS and MERS did eventually "fade away" to a degree. There is every possibility that COVID-19 will follow that exact same pattern and, like the common cold, go into decline with the onset of spring/summer at hand.

Because flu vaccines are strain specific. It's why they don't prevent the common cold or a number of other respiratory viruses.
    Fuck you

You're a useless piece of shit with zero leadership abilities

    What YOUR solution, fuckstick?
I'd stop trash talking experts and let them do their damn job instead of claiming that it's a hoax to hurt his re-election campaign. That's serious tinfoil hat theory.

My doctor told me if I had type B vacine and got type A flu, it would lessen the symptoms. It didn't, but my doctor told me so it must be true.

They spout this shit all the time and people just like you believe it. Does that make them dumbasses or just gullible?

Embarrassing, is forgetting you are running for president, instead of the US Senate.
Peddling your horse shit is fine, but at least use some modicum of intellect.
