A Democrat Tennesssee state senator has called for riots after Republican lawmakers passed a pro-police bill.​

State Sen. Charlane Oliver was responding to the passing of legislation that prevents cities from restricting police officers from making certain types of traffic stops.
Speaking to the press on Friday, Oliver, co-founder of the social justice warrior activist group “the Equity Alliance,” vowed that “we’re gonna fight.”
“So yeah, we’re gonna fight,” Oliver said. “Dr. King said the riots are the language of the unheard. You [sic] ain’t seen nothing yet. If you keep silencing us like this, what do you think our districts [sic] gonna do?”

This has caused many a time arguments at work when I was a farm hand, hunting with distant family (or new comers into the family), do ya’ll ride (when cases aren’t an option) with your barrels up or down when driving w/ multiple people?

Is there a real reason as to why people chose one or the other?

I’ve always gone muzzle up as I’d rather patch a hole in the roof than get a new T case or transmission (in the unlikely event my rifle/shotgun is loaded), and to prevent the crown/bore from being damaged or blocked. Would like to see if anyone else has ever had any argument over it or thoughts in the matter.

First thing I’ll say is no, I do not partake in the consumption of marijuana.

A year ago, while I was working at a smaller family-run CNC shop (mill operator) I came across a job listing for industrial maintenance. The job paid $8/hr more than I was making, with much better benefits and PTO. Monday through Thursday dayshift schedule. This being a no-brainer, I was offered the job and accepted.

What I didn’t realize was that the money I was making, most banks consider “dirty” and auto & home loans are almost impossible to secure without some form of questionable doings. Which is huge for, because at 33Y/O I’m finally in the position to buy my first home.

So now here I am. A year later, unable to make these dreams a possibility (something I wish I’d known beforehand) and am now forced to look for work again, fearing I will never land anything because I work in cannabis and therefore, I must be a dirty lazy pothead.

To all of you, never consider this career. I’ve been in manufacturing for 15 years and thought I’d jump into “the next frontier”, but it’s holding me back from what I’d like to do.

Has anyone ever had their 22lr suddenly lose its accuracy?
My std CZ 452 has been a tack driver from new almost 10 years ago.
As it was always capable of at least a few single ragged hole groups on any range session whether the barrel was clean or dirty, I just ran a few wet and dry Hoppes#9 followed by an oil patch after every shoot.

It just stopped shooting well and the pattern was a real low 1st shot up to 2" 2nd shot about 1" low, then worked up to the 10 ring and starts grouping OK.

It got a new scope and eliminated ammo and all the usual things.
Then scrubbed and scrubbed the chamber as a carbon ring was suspected, then bought a Teslon bore scope.
It seemed to be shooting well on rimfire silhouettes getting strings of 4 hits in a row standing pole-supported.

Last week in good conditions I shot some groups and they are near enough a straight line with the same vertical dispersion.
Could bet on the super low 1st shot , then climbs and starts grouping.
Shooting it's fav SK std ammo and by the 4th group it starts shooting well including 5 touching.
Put it down and shoot another rifle, pick it up and load up some mags with CCI std and it shoots a few identical 3-4" straight line groups and then starts shooting OK.

Previously if ammo testing and unsure, I could just load a mag of SK and it would often shoot a single hole, no need to shoot the same ammo.
It can only be the rifle or stock causing it and the dollar note feels the same as always, clearance and only tight up near the action.
I have been working up with action screw torque and was up high at over 25 inch/lbs so have backed down to about 15 and 10 on that middle screw. If that's not it, I may have to sand the wood a touch in the barrel channel.

After that, I am out of options and my local gunsmith can look with his bore scope and check out my targets.

So sad as it was my first rifle and always shot like a laser, often I could put 10 shots out on the 200yd target without a big scope, just walk the shots onto the target and aim a rock above. Often got a fist-to-hand-sized cluster with 1 or 2 flyers.

Do you blokes know what these straight line groups working up can be caused by?

Ok, yes I’m getting older, set in my ways and eye modern technology with a jaded eye. That being said, am I the last of the breed that still prefers the old M1907 sling? Now I will admit that I have discovered the wonderful biothane versions from Turner Saddlery that are practically maintenance-free but it’s still the old M1907 pattern. I tried the Quick-cuff sling from US Tactical but never could warm up to leaving the detachable loop on my arm and wound up using it as a carry strap, never getting the stability the loop would provide and went back to my old trusty design. Is the 116 year old design of the M1907 still relevant today or is a symbol of days gone by reserved for us old dinosaur?

A long time ago - it feels that way anyway - lol, I bought some 6.5mm 140gr SMK by AAC off PSA.com. Thing that appealed to me was that it was $20 for 20 rounds. That's a helluva deal when Hornady ELD-M 140gr is approaching $55 for 20. Being in Wyoming, finding a good time to go out and drive the 2.5hrs one-way to the closest range that shoot out to 1000yds or more is difficult, especially when ammo isn't cheap and neither is gas.

Today, I decided to get the rifle out of the closet and go shoot some sighting-in rounds with the new ammo at the local 100yd indoor range. A lot cheaper to go the range when you've already bought the ammo. LOL

Grabbed two targets just to see how things would go. Brought 60rds with me, but ended up just shooting 40. Didn't need to blow through my stash just yet, especially with spring just around the corner here. Maybe I'll get down to Laramie to the range sooner than I expected.

I'm very happy with how the AAC ammo shot. For it's price, it shoots just as well as the vastly more expensive Hornady or other brands. So much so, I went home and bought 4 more boxes at $21.99 each.

A couple of the 5-shot groups I knew I pulled and had a flier as soon as I shot. I tried to take about 5min between groups to let the barrel cool down a bit, but the last two groups I just shot back-to-back since they were the final ones. First pic with the center target was getting the rifle sighted in. Next was top right, top left, bottom left, and bottom right. The bottom right group is my best of the day, IMHO. So bummed I pulled that one - that's one that I knew I pulled as soon as the gun went bang. So frustrating! lol

I picked up a Garmin March 8th and had it out in the field March 12. No problem, reading the right speed with rifle A. I take it out today March 16th, it reading high with four different rifles like 25fps with 22lr, 50fps with 17hmr and 100 FPS with centerfire. Any ideas?

I’ve spent the last week researching production division minded rifles and reading through the forums here. The general consensus from all of my fellow degenerates is that most if not all big brand production rifles (DD, Seekins, Aero, etc) are not up to par. The second consensus is that the MPA and GAP are the best within that division. The third is that building a rifle in open class can be done with a very similar or better price point, and better performance.

It’s time to put your money where your mouth is and figure out the build!
So here’s my challenge boys and girls.
Put a build list in your reply for a full build minus glass, bipods, and bag and include prices.
Requirements as follows:

1) Build must be no more than $3000

2) Build must have a sub MOA capability, preferably 1/2 MOA (gunsmithing permitting of course)

3)Chassis/stock must include adjustable ergonomics (the more the better)

4) Accessories required include an ARCA rail, quality muzzle brake, and 20MOA rail
