I'm putting together a 300BLK Subsonic Bolt gun with an Origin action. Can people suggest companies or gunsmiths that can best spin up what I'm looking for? This is largely a 300m and in backyard toy, but given I'll probably never shoot out the barrel, I'm willing to spend a little more if the juice is worth the squeeze.

Criteria:
- 8"-8.5" length
- Shouldered (no barrel nut crap)
- Chambered for 300BLK
- 5/8-24 muzzle thread with Sig/Q 25 degree taper
- Shouldered for Origin
- 1:7 twist (unless a coconut hits me in the head before ordering and I sway 1:5)
- Cerakoted black (if the smith or company doesn't offer coatings I can always do it locally but would prefer to avoid the extra trip)

When I was about 6-8 years old, my mother took me to a theater and we saw some film noir sometime between 1956-1960.

The movie ended when a big man "stalked" and choked a smaller man (to death?) after the smaller man emptied his handgun into the big man. The scene unraveled as a revenge/justice killing--the big man didn't run, he walked down some concrete stairs arms out (like you'd envision Frankenstein walking) as he was hit repeatedly by the small man's gunfire. The smaller man backed down the stairs face contorted in fear while the big man just kept on coming on. I can't remember if the scene ended in both their deaths. The big man was large and overweight, built like Orson Welles or Rod Steiger or Raymond Burr and the little man was built like Humphrey Bogart or Elisha Cook, Jr.

The big man was the "hero" and the little man was the "villain". The concrete stairs were like a set of stairs to a New York flat below street level, but I think I remember the stairs being wider--enough for 5-8 people to walk down side-by-side. It wasn't a narrow staircase, and the stairs led to a door (or pair of doors) not to another level of something. That's all I can remember about the movie. It's just one of those childhood memories that I may never recover. When I asked my mother she couldn't remember it.

I've searched IMDB (and the IMDB list of "25 Best Film Noir Movies of All Time) for the lists of movies done by Welles, Steiger, Burr, Bogart, and Cook, Jr., and as far as I can tell from the descriptions (and the rest of the male casts) I haven't found anything that resembles the movie title I seek.

If you think you know the name of any of the actors or even a partial title, I'd appreciate it if you'd gimme a clue. Thank you, All !

World is crazier and crazier. Suggestions on plates? The carrier is more of a secondary concern, but I'm open to thoughts on them at this time as well, as I'll be wondering about them next.

I've been reading and watching stuff. So far I'm liking the Shotstop gt2 and the Guardian RSTP SA+.

Don't know much of anything about it, but appreciate any advice. Weight, strength, and lifespan are top priorities. Buying new plates every 5 years seems crazy.

Other good options? Reasons one of the two I mentioned is better?

Hello gents. I’ve been in the market for a thumbhole AI rifle for a few months now. I was mainly looking at AT’s with the thumbhole skins, however I have come across an opportunity to pick up an Arctic Warfare 1.0 with the fixed comb and black fixed stock. I can get it for 4k. Doesn’t seem like there are many completed sales out there on these guns, especially the early ones, so I’m curious if you all think that seems like a fair price? Additionally, it would need a top rail. Will any AT top rail fit the AW action? Thanks in advance.

Hi all. 2024 is going to be year of the predator. I got a Tikka T3x 22-50 and a Wraith Max 4k. I could use it during the day, but would prefer glass. I have a pst gen 2 5-25 that could serve this purpose, but would then get QD mounts for both (so maybe American Defense Manuf. and GG&G). How reliably do these return to zero when going on and off of the same gun?

Another part of the equation is that I just picked up a Franchi Momentum Elite Varmint on a great deal (sub $700) and could just bring two rifles with one for day and one for night. With a scope that Franchi is a bit heavy at 11 lbs 5 oz so I am on the bubble about keeping it around. However, the cost of the QD mounts would be close to $400 bucks... for that price I am probably better off just having two rigs as it is more than 1/2 of the cost of gun #2.

I scored 23 5qt jugs this morning over 3 stores, $10.45 each. It won't be on the floor so you will have to show them a picture off your phone of the gold jug and have them check for 0w20, 5w20 and 5w30. I only found 3 jugs of 5w30. If you can't find the 5qt jugs, the quarts are on sale also at $3.35 each which is still a good price for full syn. Best way is to search your surrounding stores to see what they show in stock and decide if the trip is worth it.
