Did Santa bring you a new gun for Christmas? I was really surprised when I found a small box under the tree with my name on it. What made this box stand out was it had some weight to it. Usually when I get a box this size it has socks, t=sheets our boxer shorts in it, kind of lite weight stuff. Well when I opened it, to my surprise, I was looking at a CZ75. Now how did Santa know I wanted a CZ? I had wanted one for years, but I couldn't find one when I had the money. Well now I have one and I am happy.

I bought a bunch of stuff from Liberty in the past. Unfortunately, due to their demise I am now looking for the best Vortex prices elsewhere. Where are you going? B&H Photo is not too bad, however, I have not seen anyone that could match Liberty yet.

I put a Crieterium remage 280 AI barrel on a Remington 700 long action and put in a greyboe stock. While I have not done much load development I have shot about 100 rounds through the barrel. Set up my long distance camera and shot for a group at 500 yards. Thing grouped like a shotgun, about 24 to 30 inches. Trying to decide where to go next. I'm not confident I'll be able to get the thing to do what I want which is repeatable 7 inch groups at 500 yards. Does anyone think I'll be able to get this thing to shoot with load development or should I send the barrel back and see what the vendor will do for me. Thanks for your opinions.

Brand New American Rifle Company (ARC) Coup de Grace (CDG) barreled action with Carbon 6 6 Creedmoor 19” barrel, action wrench, and one AW magazine.

Action: 20 moa, pivoting bolt, 308 bolt. I received and installed the updated extractor.

Barrel: Carbon 6, 6 Creedmoor, 19”, 1 in 9” twist, threaded 5/8”x24, their Sendero profile.

This is all brand new. I torqued the barrel on to spec, checked headspace. I had a trigger and muzzle device installed and had everything in a chasis with a scope attached. I had intended to set this up as a night predator rig. Too many logs in the fire so I’m letting this go having never fired a shot through.

I bought this new from Euro Optic in October of this year. I’ve had a few older ones that ver the year and at some point NF must have updated the turrets because this newer one has the nicest feeling and sounding turrets of anyone I’ve ever used, better even than any of my NX8s.

Well my son wants a bolt action and is dying for a 308. If this will get him into guns and respect them versus behind a controller and video game then I'm all for it.

We went to Academy today, I was under the impression the Ruger Ranch was offered in 308 but it wasn't. He held the Ruger Predator and liked it but it was $499. I wanted to ask you guys if there was better options out there for around the same price.

The only thing it needs to be is around 6.5lbs, 20 inch barrel or less, and threaded (doesn't HAVE to be threaded but he wants a brake on it).

I bought an MDT Oryx chassis during their sale thinking I had a spare 10/22 in the safe to drop in it. I was wrong.

So, now I have a chassis and a couple of scope options for a 10/22 build.

Yes, I got a Xero for Christmas and it is awesome. One of the many benefits is the small size and weight which begs to be side mounted off the ARCA on your competition rifle. Did the barrel speed up mid match or are you just off your game? Slap it on there for a quick check on the next stage.


Of course there are others who make these mounts, but at $200+ bucks, I had to laugh. I am making my own. I am betting there are some others out there thinking the same thing and this should be priced accordingly. Here it is.


Comes ready to use including the ARCA clamp installed. The retaining screw for the Xero is captive so you won't lose it. The Xero mount is a slot so you can slide it left or right a little bit so you can adjust clearance for any external weights, rails, my Stabilator, etc. The external dimension wraps around the Xero providing a bumper to help avoid banging up the Xero if your rifle ends up on its side or you get agro on a stage with the thing still on there.


Made from 6061-T6 completely in house and black Cerakote applied for finish. 8oz weight without the Xero installed. .350" thick and very stout. The ARCA clamp is inset to prevent shifting. The Xero can be rotated slightly on the mount if needed. The position that the Xero is sitting in the first picture clears my Stabilator plate by 1/2" in case you are wondering. The ARCA knob also easily clears the Stabilator.

I loaded up on 180gr Hybrids and H1000 for my 7 PRC because I thought it was going to be a safe bet. I’ve gone through almost 200 bullets and am not any closer to finding a decent load. I found a pound of Retumbo to try and still wasn’t happy with the results. I know the gun will shoot the factory Hornady Match 180 ELDMs, I bought a couple boxes to break in the barrel with and was getting .5”-.75” 5rd groups at 100yds. Is it likely that my rifle just doesn’t like the Hybrids or are they extremely finicky?
