SOLD 7SAUM: Impact, Foundation, Krieger, TT Diamond

$3,500
Selling as I’m getting into Fclass type equipment and switching gear. I have shot primarily off bench or tripod or bipod on bench. This absolutely hammers. I’ve taken this to 2,025 yards and was hitting 24”x24” plate. This rifle could quickly become a 6BR or 22 Creedmoor if buyers wants that instead. Not ready to part out yet.
No trades unless you have a fclass type stock (Dima, Cerus, Shurley) inletted for Borden BRMXD.
There is a pic of light scratch marks under cheek piece which is how it shipped to me when new. Cheek piece came out and posts did it. Don’t see it with cheek piece in position

Will need to work out shipping and split actual cost as I’ve previously bought a cheap hard case in the past and then boxed and gone ffl to ffl.

Action: Impact 737 magnum bf, right hand, Area 419 bolt knob extension, APA bolt knob

Barrel: 7SAUM, Krieger 28”, Heavy Varmint, 8.5” twist, 3/4” muzzle, could include EC Tuner Brake but pictured is my TBAC brake which is not for sale. Throated long for 180 Hybrids COAL 3.090 to riflings. 390 rounds fired. Chambered by Joe Walls at Exodus.

Trigger: Trigger tech Diamond, single stage, curved

Stock: Foundation Impact inlet, ME1, dark distressed, Hawkins M5 bottom metal

*Not included is scope, rings, bipod unless we further negotiate price.

Help me wire this pump motor. Solved, 220 3ph

Electrician and resident pit comedians please help.
This is a water pump for an old lathe, high quality Chinese stuff from the 90s.
I gather it is 220 volts, 60 hertz?
I have single phase, three phase, as well as 480 three phase. I just need some help what this needs.
47.2 ohm between any two of the wires of the motor.
I have switched jumpers around before to change for different voltage, but there is always diagrams and tags in English.
I’ll post pics of the motor tag and the connection block inside the motor.
Can we make this work? Any more questions just ask.
Thanks!

Buddy just snagged these... what can you guys tell me about them?

So was a friend's place earlier today and he snagged these.

The back story (and he is going to get more detail) is that the seller's dad was a Marine and was in Alaska in WW2. But I could not get it clear whether he brought these back or acquired them on a later trip to Alaska in the 1950's.

First is a Model 70 which serial numbers to 1942 or so. Also caliber is marked ".30 Government" not .30-06. I did not look close enough to see a flaming bomb or ordnance mark. The story is that these were shipped to Springfield and then went to the Marines. But it's a story... and second hand at that.

Wartime guns may not have been sold to civilians as sporters... but they did get sold where there was a need. Forest rangers to security guards... heck could have ended up in Alaska in the hands of some guy protecting bulldozer operators on the Alaska Highway from bears. So not every model 70 was snipery. BUT... I know there are some guys here who know these way better than I do.

Scope is obviously not right. And recoil pad was added. This was a guy's New England Deer rifle for more than 50 years and shows it. So if anyone knows anything I can pass on to him! They didn't break the bank and so any news is going to be good and interesting.

Oh and to start, this pouch came with the rifle. I think it's WW1? But could easily have still been issued early in WW2.

On to the rifle. I posted the whole serial number because it may help with research.

Second gun is a trainer for, IIRC, a Springfield 1903? It is .22 Long Rifle Caliber. Has an applique cheek rest. Irons and an older scope.

I know literally nothing about this except it was acquired at the same time as the 70. And supposedly came from his father and was bought at the same time as the 70. First time I've ever handled one of these... so, again, you guys are the good source for info!

Optics Limited release NF NXS 2.5-10x24 - SPF to Evolution 9

From what I’ve gathered online: Originally the 2.5-10x24 was released for the military contract for the MK12 SPR, and then in 2015 NF did a limited run on them with the updated MOAR reticle.

I have a great condition NXS 2.5-10x24 with exposed turrets, MOAR 30 MOA SFP reticle, and I believe these had zero stop.

Comes with ARMS 22M rings and the 22 TRM diving board. Used this on my Mod H and Mod 1 briefly but probably hasn’t even seen 100 rounds. Keeping the MK4 since I had much more interest from people in the NXS.

True to my original asking price I will take $1400 shipped with the rings. No box. Scope is in great shape inside and out.

First come first serve since I had lots of people PM me when I posted my Mod H. USPS MO or bank cashiers check only on this one.

Thanks for looking.

Doxy -PEP

Who can take Doxy-PEP?

Anyone who’s had unprotected sex, had experiences with STIs in the past, or had multiple partners could benefit from Doxy-PEP. While there are no age restrictions, parental consent might be required for minors, just like with STI testing. The pill may be especially useful for gay and bisexual men: According to the CDC, this population makes up a disproportionate amount of STI cases.

The treatment can also help give peace of mind to people who are trying to get pregnant and not using condoms, but still worried about STIs, says Davidov. However, he emphasizes it’s better to have sex with a partner who has tested negative for STIs.

Soooooo. The folks in red…..who are THESE people , any WHY? 😜

Neck sizing and tension

Not new to reloading, but new to precision reloading. After hours and hours of reading and videos, kind of came up with a game plan and would like some input.

Plan on a Forester full size bushing die. Use a bushing to get neck tension to 0.003”, then use a mandrel die to open up to 0.002” of neck tension. I would hope this would help with concentricy and work any deformities out of the neck.
Input? Thanks

WOA accuracy issues, my experience… (update 9/24/2023)

About 6 months ago I got my 16” SDM profile 223 Wylde 1:8 barrel that I ordered direct with WOA. I built it using a BCM upper (thermofit) that I trued the receiver face on and bedded with green Loctite. The handguard is a free floated SOLGM M89 and the I’m using a Riflespeed adjustable gas system with an H2 buffer in the stock. I’m using a LaRue MBT-2 trigger in the lower. The rifle has a NightForce NX8 2.5-20 scope on it. The rifle has been dead nuts reliable from day 1 and eats anything I put in it without issue.

The problem is that it’s not accurate, the best 5 shot groups being 1.2-1.3” (match quality factory ammo and some of my best hand loads). It has about 200-250 rounds through it. I have a Bartlein 20” SDM profile 1:7.7 4 groove by CLE that I built with the EXACT components and it shoots sub 1/2” 5 shot groups with multiple factory loads and a bunch of my hand loads.

Ive bore scoped this rifle and I saw two potential issues (see pictures):
1) There are radial machining marks left in the leade/throat area from when the barrel was chambered by WOA.
2) The gas port cuts through an entire groove and gets copper build up which shows as a single blue streak on my cleaning patches. The copper accumulation is also visible with a bore scope even after a heavy cleaning with JB + Kroil and Patchout+ accelerator.

I’ve sent an email to WOA to try to get some help. This rifle was not intended to be a blaster and I expect much better from this barrel. I have a Proof waiting in the wings to replace it if things don’t get resolved soon.

Ive posted the “put out or get out” results from my test of the WOA today, before this test I did the heavy cleaning, so the barrel was pristine. The top row, far right “55 ZMax TAC” was the first set shot with one of my best loads, the first three went into the same hole, the 4th was at 2 o’cloc, the 5 dropped 1.5”. I then shot the 69 FGM, then 73 FGM, then 77 FGM, then 53 VMAX. I then let the rifle cool down for 45 min or so and then shot AAC 77 TMK, then 77 SMK, then 77 OTM, then AAC 55 VMAX, and lastly another set of my 55 Zmax load (bottom right).

Thoughts on what the issues may be?

Thanks,

ZA

SOLD KRG Bravo Rem 700 SA Custom M81 Woodland Camo with Area 419 Arca Rail

Selling my cerakoted M81 camo KRG Bravo R700 with 12" Area419 arca rail, also has a Hoptic foam saddle blanket. Chassis is in great shape other that where the cerakote has worn off in a few spots. Comes with 6 LOP spacers (I got long arms). Will also include the appropriate length screws and washers to run anything from 6 to just 1 spacer. Went with the longer Arca rail to essentially get a spigot, its plenty stiff enough to run a bipod all the way at the end. Chassis shoots great and is reasonably light for what it is. I upgraded to an MPA Hybrid so I'm no longer in need. Asking $500.00.

Could Use a Little Help - Atlas Bipod, ARCA

Gentlemen, I am not understanding which Atlas Bipod I need to get and what if anything I need to get with it. Migrating over to ARCA rail, the Area 419 one.

Most of my current bipods are Harris but I wanted to get an Atlas.

I was going to go with a PRS model of it for the non-rotating legs. Was going to get a BT46 but don't know if I need the -NC or the -LW17 to hook onto the arca rail. And do I need to buy an additional part to connect either one of those to the rail? The -NC would seem to indicate that yes I need an additional part but I don't know what that is.

Sorry for being a bone-head and being confused on this but as I stated, this is my first-time going ARCA and if you don't know, you just don't know.

Thanks for any help.

Bear Spray Advice

Looking for practical advice on the use of Bear Spray or similar device.

My wife was out walking the dog a few days ago and ran into the resident herd of javilina. Luckily the dog alerted her before she walked into the middle of them. It appears some misinformed idiot(s) is feeding or watering them, so this particular herd has taken up residence in the middle of a ~4,500 home residential neighborhood. They are bedding down against homes, tearing up landscaping, trash cans ect...

Fish and Game says don't worry they won’t bother anyone. Bullshit you should see the vet bills if they get into it with a dog. Heaven forbid a small kid who does not know any better. And no fish and game won’t remove them, they say they have a right to be there. I have come home around 6 after work and walked to the post office box at the end of the short drive way, walked around to the passenger side of my truck to pull my pack out, looked up and a javilina is standing 10’ between me and the fortunately still closed garage door.

Long story shot my wife asked me to get her some bear spray to use in case she gets in trouble with them. I have zero experience with Bear Spray. Can anyone who does please recommend a small easy to carry device that would work well? Should I be looking at something else? Offered her a .380 but she has no desire to deal with a firearm plus as previously mentioned it is in the middle of 4500 homes.

Not sure where this kind of question fits in on forums so... Bear Pit. If not appropriate, Mod please move it to somewhere better.
