I'm curious what people consider realistic expectations?

I am not a competition shooter, I started reloading about oh 8 or 9 years ago and then stopped (kids work etc) but a month ago started back up (my son tried a small nra silhouette match and we had fun so why not do some reloading).

I am doing a hodge podge kind of scrap parts rebuild refile for him to use in 6.5 CM and a .223 to practice (cheaper than always shooting 6.5).

The CM I guess it's shooting a decent group now so for now will stick with the load I worked up for it, but i am still working on one for the 223. The 223 shoots great with 77gr Fiocchi or fed GM. But it HATES anything 55gr.

I am getting 1/4 moa out of the CM but I have trouble staying steady so I feel like the gun could do better.

But that is why I wonder if I just have unrealistic expectations? Be it me or the ammo. I am not going to sort bullets and sort primers or sort cases and I am not going to neck turn etc. But I keeping hoping to get groups in the tens (.19 or better). Best I got today was a 5 shot group with the .223 with the GM of .28 and a 3 shot of the 6.5cm of .28 as well, the CM was my loads. I still catch myself jerking the trigger now and then and just started trying a rear bag today for the first time.

I have watched videos from that guy "winning in the wind" and he shoots in the tens like it's nothing.....but he does say he sorts bullets and primers etc.

There is one dummy mark behind the castle nut on the stock threads (pictured). My castle nut wrench stud was a little long and it damaged the threads while breaking the castle nut to install the folding adapter. It can be touched with a q-tip and black paint and would go unnoticed.

I will be loading 308 Win. for a bolt action rifle and an AR. Which ammo gauge would be a good one to use for this task. I have read reviews on MidWay but would like opinions from the Hide. I use a revolver cylinder to check my 44s and have a Hornady gauge for that plunk test. I am not real anxious to use the rifle chamber to check so I would like something else. Thanks, Jerry

As the title suggest . I have a 22 inch rim stuck on my charger . I tried ;
Loosening lugs and hard stops to loosen .
4 x 4 and a sledge both sides repeatedly .
I even loosened lug nuts and ran the fuckin curb against the inside of the rim/tire . I could see the motherfucker flexing in the mirror .
Tried all of these multiple times . Thinking I'm at drilling out the fuckin studs .

I bought a Tikka T3x lite in .308 and a vanguard talon in .30-06. I live in Utah and plan on hunting in Alaska and other places.

I can't decide between a vortex strike eagle the FFP that came out this year that is 3-18. Or the lht 4.5-22. The people on vortex customer service chat had suggested I get the lht in sfp 3-15. But I have never shot a second focal plane scope before.

I do think 3-15 should be plenty for those calibers. But since I don't have a lot of experience with gear I am stumped. I currently have 2 Christiansen MPR's in 6.5 CM and 300 WM with two nx8 4-32's. I have not done any hunting out west so don't have a clue.

Thanks in advance for any advice. My primary shooting experience has been in the Army with a red dot and iron sights.

What are the best cans out there for 22 LR? Want to put it on a bolt gun for my daughter and might be fun to throw on a pistol.

Quietness, accuracy, and lightweight are my primary concerns. The TBAC one looks good. Others worth considering?

How quiet are 22 cans? I have cans for 5.56, 300 win, and 6.5 and still wear ear pro with all of them - as you know, they are much quieter, but still enough to make your ears ring. Wondering how a suppressed 22 compares.
