I live in Oregon and it's easy to tell where this state is headed just by looking at the direction that other Blue states have gone, or are about to go.

Are Suppressors even worth getting if you live in a shitty state like mine? I want to hear from the people in places like California, New York, etc. I want to outfit every firearm I have with one but it seems like a waste of money if I can already sense that that is the direction my state is heading in next. And I know that the end aim of gun control advocates isn't safety, it's ending gun ownership, and their path there is to make life as hard as possible for law-abiding gun owners.

Is there any national/federal protection for me that can circumvent any future State ban on Suppressors and SBR's? SBR's are legal but I just know they won't be in the future, especially in my state. Are they worth it? I don't mind a $200 tax stamp, I care more about losing a large collection of NFA-approved items in the future. Is this something you worry about if you live in somewhere like California?

I bought all this new in November 2020. Mostly from EuroOptic. I have a Spotter 60 with Mil Reticle and mil spec rails and molle case. Paid $4330. USO red dot for the spotter. I have a Terrapin X LRF I paid $1799. I have a Flat Dark Earth Kestrel 5700 Elite I paid $749, Kestrel HUD with trigger I paid $449. Kestrel rotating vane paid $79. Also a Hawk Spuhr mount paid $129, Two Vets No Name Tripod with 55mm Ball head with QR plate paid $585, Grey Ops AMP Elite Arca multi plate with 2 dovetail mounts and LRF extension paid $340. Lastly I have a Labradar with tripod, and battery pack, paid $675. So I have over $9000 invested in this setup not including shipping and such. I'm willing to take $7000 for it all shipped. No junk here. This is all top shelf and in great shape. I do don't want to part it out but if it doesn't sell as a set after a week then I'll piece it out here and ebay. I'm located in North Carolina right now and will be driving to Houston Texas and back for the holidays so I could possibly meet up along the way.

Can anyone comment on the quality of the newer illuminated XTR3 vs the U.S. made non illuminated XTR3? I currently have the 5.5-30 US made non illuminated version and I absolutely love it. I am looking to pick up a second one for a .300 PRC and have been debating between the XTR Pro and the XTR3 Illuminated. I really like that the Pro is still US made. Had the quality dropped off with the Filipino made Illuminated model?

On a serious note, the loss of insects is alarming. I remember as a kid looking out across the pastures and it was like a light show from the fireflies. Now, one here and there. I read that the firefly loss is loagely doe to light pollution. Same with honey bees, they're dyeing off.

Is this really the 1st time in ~55 years someone has looked at the dust cover and thought of improving the design?

Just got bedding a couple of stocks and things turned out great. I used Kiwi shoe wax as a release agent and some modeling clay to fill any holes. My questions now is how do I get all this damn Kiwi wax off my action? Hoppes #9 didn't touch it, rubbing alcohol didn't do it either. What solvent melts wax without ruining the finish?

A Pale Brown Accuracy International AX rifle (AXSA) that was purchased from Mile High Shooting. The rifle has the factory 24-Inch Bartlein barrel chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor and came with the "updated" small firing pin that shipped with all new AXSA rifles as of late 2015 IIRC. The trigger has been upgraded to the >$500 Competition 2-Stage Trigger from AI and the rifle will ship with the original factory trigger included. The rifle will ship with three AW magazines in Pale Brown (incl. one brand new mag), as well as all the original components that came with the rifle and that were removed to accommodate the after-market upgrades (listed below)

Condition Notes:
Rifle was purchased at the very end of 2018 and was used off/on for 6-8 Months before resting in the safe. Both the action and barrel have ~1,080 rounds of almost-exclusively factory Hornady 140gr ELDM ammo. The rifle has seen non-100 Yard bench use, but has been well maintained and cared for.

Soooo I got rather drunk Sunday night. I was looking to build an m16a4. For some reason, all completed uppers were pretty much sold out for many companies. Then I went to some site, and they had PRI mk12 upper 18in barrel, the black ones on sale marked down a few hundred. The FDE was still the same price, well, drunk me decided hey I never see these on sale, paypal powers unite. So it's on the way. I notice there are a lot of treads on uppers/optics/builds for mk12's. (Just to show I used the search function)

My question is I don't have a lower, I told my gun smith what I bought he said the lower is nothing too special depending on what I want to do with it. I told him throw some stuff together. I do love the way the a2 stock looks on it though.

He just messaged me You need a lower right? Any requests? I know what he means, I don't really care too much about being clone specific, is one lower better than another? He said a lot of the builds he does for people tend to be aero precision. Also he asked me if I want a single or two stage trigger? I'm new to the more dmr/long range stuff. So how much does that matter?

Lastly, is there anything special I need for a mk12/spr build. Weren't they just a2 lowers, nothing to special about them? From what I researched. Also am I high or does the black hills 77grain mk262 go for more then some of my 308 match ammo?

Being new to SPR/DMR rifles do I do the same thing I did with my 308(I'm really new to long range sorry to sound stupid), buy different stuff to see what the gun likes?
