Rear bag selection question

I'm sure this dead horse has been beaten many a time so my apologies.

I got a protecktor rabbit ear bag for a front rest I bought and it works great, but shooting prone with this thing is a pain in the nuts. Looking for a bag strictly for static shooting off a bench and prone and load development. Looking at the precision underground elr 3D bag. For those that have them, can it be adjusted by squeezing if I need to go up or down a little? Any other suggestions on others? I just got an atlas cal bipod, and I'd like to take advantage of this thing with a better rear bag.

SOLD Impact 737, Foundation MG1, Trigger Tech Diamond, and KMW Bottom Metal

Used but great shape. Sees more of the safe than the range so needs to move to get some play time. Asking $2300 shipped, for everything. I’d rather it all go before trying to split it up. Hell of a deal, so Merry Christmas.

PayPal F&F or you pay the 3% or Venmo.

SOLD Accuracy International AT 6.5 CM w/ 16" .308 Barrel

I have a lot of feedback on AR15.com - you can PM me there if necessary.

For sale is a lightly used Accuracy International AT folder in 6.5 CM. Later serial with small firing pin and quick change barrel.

Comes with:

- 24" AI Factory Bartlein 6.5 Creedmoor 5/8x24 1:8
- 16.5" AI Factory Euro .308 Barrel 5/8x24 1:12
- B&T BT19 Spigot
- 5 AT Magazines
- Pouches for the mags
- Thumbhole kit installed (may have original skins somewhere)
- Various small parts and stock extenders.
- Factory Harris Keyslot mount

If purchased locally I also have custom cut foam that will fit in a Pelican iM3200 that will be thrown in (no Pelican included).

Unfortunately I just don't have a shipping box that will fit it.

This rifle doesn't have a lot of live fire - more dry fire than anything. Some wear from storage and mag insertions. Please see photos.

Barrel Use:

.308 Barrel has only 296rds and was cut by Morgan from Class 3 Machining. Was originally a Euro thread barrel, now 5/8x24

6.5 Creedmoor has 184rds.

New .300 Norma Brass

Looking for a nice 5-25x. ZCO or TT. Must have MRAD Xmas tree reticle.

Worst firearm you've ever purchased, and the one that surprised you?

I was just reading the thread on what all do you own and your gun journey, and all the funny responses it got me thinking of my firearm journey. So if you would like to join in go for it.

Worst purchase-When stationed at Hood this guy in 2nd Brigade was selling his deployment gun. A sig 556xi, with his OIF dates engraved and that stupid logo Rakasan people put on everything they walk by. I zeroed the irons, the rear site was almost all the way right, but I got it zeroed, Then I put on a old Trijicon rm-01 trijicon. No matter what I did I couldn't zero it. Turns out the whole front rail was canted. Sig told me if I am the original owner I could sent it in for warranty work, apparently, this was a known issue. I asked if I wasn't how much would this cost? They told me if its just the rail not too much, but the rail piston system and all that could be off which would cost me damn near what I paid for the gun. I think it's at a pawn shop in Colorado Springs now. unless a 101 guy saw it with that logo then it's in thier possession lol.

Surprisingly good impulse buy- Walther PPK. I saw one at my gunsmiths for sale, and I immediately imagined myself in a suit, surrounded by sexy women, and with a British accent, my Aston Martin parked outside. I got it for a good price (can't believe new those fuckers go for like 8-900 dollars). I purchased it then after realizing I'm fat, don't own a suit, drive a dodge, and my gf is pretty but not James bond girl pretty. It was used, I took it out to the mountains, I was honestly surprised at how accurate it was for a little .380. Also, it ate everything I put in it.

Critique my build

Building my first gasser since moving to a free state. Was going to buy one from MSTN or get a JP or V7, but decided to build - and learn from my mistakes.

Here's what I have incoming:

BAD556 Ambi set
V7 controls and dust cover
2A Ti Adjustable BCG
V7 Lightweight Fluted 16" barrel (comes w/ Ti gas block and stainless tube)
BAD LW Carbine Buffer Tube
Taccom Ultralight carbine buffers and Tubb Flatwire spring
Magpul SL-K
Raptor LT
TT Diamond
2A Balios G2 12" rail and Ti barrel nut - had thought about 15", but wanted to have the option of a 12.5" barrel later.
Ergo 0 degree grip w/ beavertail
Lancer Mags
Aero Ultralight mount
PLX Compact 1-8 Griffin Mil
Brake: wavering between SLR Synergy Minicomp and the SR22, both in Ti.

Hoping the system can be tuned without a weighted buffer, and hoping I didn't make any glaring mistakes otherwise.

Uses: fun, learn to shoot faster, target and steel, stand, kneel, prone, mostly inside 600, and if accurate enough, maybe some varminting. Going to try 55 blitzkings, 75 eldm's, and 69 & 77 smk's / tmk's. My bolt 223 is 26" and dialed with 80's, so I have a bunch of lighter components around to try.

Improving My Reloading Process - Biggest Impact on SD

I have some very basic equipment and a simple reloading process, but I am curious where I can put some carefully budgeted funds to improve my reloads and overall accuracy. I am loading primarily for four cartridges: 6mm ARC, 6 GT, 6.5 Creedmoor, and 7-08. From the several threads on annealing and high-end powder measures, I think my next upgrade to my bench and process would be to anneal after steel pin and before any other case prep. The second area I am considering is upgrading my powder measure to reduce variation.

I use a LabRadar on all my loads to confirm MV and SD so that I have decent data for my Kestrel. Except for the 7-08 which runs almost twice as high, my SDs are usually in the 10-14 range and occasionally lower (15-20 shot groups). 100 yd, 10-shot group size for all four guns is consistently around 1 MOA with the 6 GT usually 0.6 MOA with Berger 105s. Even the 7-08 stays close to an inch with Barnes TSX and XBT. Both the 6 ARC and 6.5 CM are gas guns with 18" barrels with average MV of 2601 and 2541 respectively using 103 ELD-X and 143 ELD-X. Group sizes cluster around 3/4" and occasionally better.

Lately most of my shooting is over/around/through barricades to try to create realistic position practice for next seasons long range matches.

EQUIPMENT
Bonanaza Co-Ax Press
Whidden dies for 6GT and 6.5CM, Hornady for 6 ARC, and Redding for 7-08
Chargemaster 1500 for powder
Whidden and Sheridan gauges where available
Old style Lee hand primer
Area 419 funnel set
21st Century expander mandrels

PROCESS
Decap fired brass with Lyman Universal
Steel pin in Frankford Rotary Tumbler
run brass through expander mandrel
use Whidden case gauge to set shoulder bump
full length size with neck bushing based on make of brass
RCBS Trim Mate for primer pocket and slight chamfer to neck
Lee Hand Primer
Chargemaster to throw powder charge
Seating to COAL for 6 ARC and 6.5 CM (gas guns) and CBTO for 6 GT and 7-08
Tumble in Corn cob to clean off case lube

Shoot, rinse, and repeat.

In short, what's the best next step to improve consistency in my ammo? Anneal? Better powder measure? Something else?
