PRS Talk Scope decision?

I know this has been talked about over and over but with the rate of products changing, I’m looking for advice from prs shooters with experience behind glass. I had razor g2 with the ebr-1c reticle. It is a good simple reticle but having only 1/2 mil marks it made for difficult wind calls from my pro at the gap grind this past weekend. My price range is $2500ish. I like the pr2 reticle on the mk5 but wondering if there is a difference in clarity between the 5-25 or 7-35. Also considering a g3 razor. If that was your price point and you were a new shooter, what would you choose? Thanks for the help.

Wisconsin Democrat Gov. Tony Evers’ Dept. of Public Instruction Told White People to Wear Wristbands as ‘Reminder of Your Privilege’

White people were told to engage in a racial shaming exercise to remind them of their privilege by Wisconsin Democrat Governor Tony Evers’ Department of Public Instruction (DPI) when he was its superintendent.

A document promoted by the Department of Public Instruction, obtained exclusively by Breitbart News, suggested white people “wear a white wristband as a reminder about your privilege.”

Democrat Governor Tony Evers, who is up for reelection, was the Superintendent of the Department of Public Instruction from 2009 to 2019. During his time as Superintendent, the department worked alongside Volunteers in Service to America (VISTA).

Evers spoke highly of VISTA, remarking that Wisconsin was “very fortunate” to have assistance from VISTA volunteers, and that their work was “very important.”

A document titled “Addressing Racial Privilege: A Mental Model for White Anti-Racists,” was distributed at a joint DPI-VISTA training in 2013, while Evers was the Superintendent. The document urged people to engage in a number of anti-white racial shaming exercises, including wearing wristbands as “a reminder about your privilege, and as a personal commitment to explain why you wear the wristband.”

The document also told white people to “find a person of color who is willing to hold you accountable for addressing privilege” and to “make a daily list of the ways privilege played out, and steps taken or not taken to address privilege.”

“Set aside sections of the day to critically examine how privilege is working,” it read. Another section demanded attendees “be willing to teach others and hold them accountable.”

The document asked a number of questions, including “What am I doing today to undo my privilege? and “How do I define my moral obligation?”

All of the questions, demands, and action items were centered around the “big question,” which read “How do I live with my privilege?”

As the Superintendent of Public Instruction, Evers had control over the curriculum of Wisconsin public schools. After initial outcry about the racially charged document, the Wisconsin DPI scrubbed the document from their website.

A section of their website, titled “Power and Privilege,” denies that DPI officials had asked students or school personnel to wear wristbands to atone for their white privilege.

The website does, however, say that after a training session with VISTA volunteers, “a packet of ‘additional resources’ was offered by the trainers as the volunteers left. Subsequently, that entire resource packet was posted to the VISTA web site.”

Users who click on the link to the document currently on the website are directed to a page that says, “Misconceptions and misinformation about the document are being spread by an out-of-state entity that has no connection with the public schools in Wisconsin.”

Politifact has stated “DPI was responsible for a flier given to 13 federally paid workers that suggests white people consider wearing the white wristbands.”

Breitbart News contacted the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction, asking the department if it was “willing to denounce exercises or activities that intend to get white students, volunteers, or personnel to atone or apologize for racial privilege.”

Communications Director Abigail Swetz told Breitbart News, “I assume it was removed because it does not reflect best practices in equity trainings, and as an education agency, we are constantly learning and continue to revise best practices.”

Swetz did not offer any condemnation of such exercises or activities, but rather went on to say, “The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction strongly supports equity in education, which includes trainings about combatting racism.”

Before becoming the Communications Director of DPI, Swetz was engaged in leftist activism and called herself a “proud queer public school teacher.” Swetz also spoke at the Women’s March in Madison and received the “Teacher of the Year” award from GSafe, a leftist organization that organizes teachers and students to engage in progressive activism.

The guide was produced by the New Jersey-based Beyond Diversity Resource Center, an organization that offers “anti-oppression” training sessions and “diversity climate” studies. The organization even sells a “fight hate” wristband.

The wristband’s description reads “Learning about privilege—the ways society gives people advantages because of their memberships in groups—is just as important as learning about oppression.”

Earlier this year, Evers vetoed a bill that would have prohibited Critical Race Theory from being taught in Wisconsin schools. Evers’s campaign did not respond to a request for comment. Evers is running against Tim Michels, the Trump-endorsed Republican candidate for governor.

Rifle Scopes Cheap glass is expensive

Hopefully I'm not making another mistake? But Arken has an awesome deal on the sh4. $300 for the scope and $20 for their accessories package which includes rings, throw lever, caps, and bubble level. The deal was just too good to pass up!
Unfortunately, this will be the third or fourth "budget" scope I've purchased. Could have had something pretty nice if I had more patience
My last mistake was a diamondback tactical that I really thought would serve my needs. It did not! Honestly, I have a monstrum scope that I bought for $150 that's comparable. (Okay, maybe it's not that bad)
But still, if anyone's in the market for a new Arken, they got a hell of a deal going right now!

Think again before hiring Ivy League graduates

"We are very concerned about our scores, and find that they are not an accurate reflection of the time and effort put into this class," the petition read, according to the New York Times. "We urge you to realize… that a class with such a high percentage of withdrawals and low grades has failed to make students’ learning and well-being a priority and reflects poorly on the chemistry department as well as the institution as a whole."

Newsflash to you Gen Z stupid fucks: nobody in the working world gives a flying fuck about the time and effort you put into anything. We Boomers and Gen Xers only care about RESULTS.

You don't produce to our standards and you will be fired.

At this point I'd rather have a doctor educated in Chile, Argentina, or Brazil than one from an Ivy League school. I bet my chances are better.

Nightforce fixed Me right up

Nightforce atacr 4-16x42 developed an issue that it was out of focus when parallax was corrected.

Called em up , got RA & mailed it to em on Sept 9th

They emailed yesterday that they had found a loose internal part , fixed it , tested scope & it was headed back to me..

Scope purchased new in summer of 2017 & lived on a VERY light weight 280ackley ( carbon manners stock, carbon wrap barrel, titanium action ) Not sure if the quick sharp recoil could have caused this but they got it fixed quick enough..

Be time to put some Black Bear on the cooker real soon ...

storage instruction for the m24 and htr200

Hi,

Its my first post :)

I am looking for instructions regarding proper storage of the M24 or the HTR2000. (long storage).
Specially some sort of instruction that says to store the weapon with the day optics attached.

Until now I found only lubrication instructions... need some orders regarding the optics.

Does any one have some thing official from the manufacture or military?

BR,

Thank you all.

Slava.

AR-10 Extraction Issue

This is a new build that may fire 18-20 rounds well then stack the case 5 times in a row. So far have only shot PMC 147 gr. Have adjusted the gas. Going to try different ammo. I have a slow motion video I can send. We would love some suggestions. Thanks

SOLD SOLD: TigIR 6Z+

[Sold Pending Funds to LSUbeatUby40]

I bought this TigIR new in June 2021 from Btar21 (who got it from Preston at Strictly Offensive Kit), and have never had the opportunity to take it out for shooting.

In addition to all the normal accessories and manuals and QD Picatinny rail mount, this sale includes the 3x eyepiece (so that the TigIR can be used as a hand-held scanner), and a 42mm Rusan mount.

Market seems to be a little soft, but I'm in no particular hurry, so I'm only asking $7,500 shipped.

I would also consider trades involving either an EOTech CLIPIR-LR, or a set of Elbit F5032 goggles, but trade value would be closer to retail.

Optics S&B PMII 5-25x56 MSR MIL CCW

Well not sure what there is to say. These things are pretty much bullet proof, and the glass is still my favorite of all my scopes. Pretty much one of the best optics ever made, and it's hard to argue that point. Reminds me of some classic things the Germans have designed and made over the past 100 years that just plain work, like the Porsche 911, Tiger Tank, and the Messerschmitt bf 109, the PMII is right there. I wanted one of these forever. I got this brand new from EuroOptic a few years back. No ring marks, bell and body perfect with no dings or scratches, pretty much perfect sans some light rubbing on the parallax wheel, but it's so subtle I would have to point it out possibly, it's pretty feint. The Glass.... ohhh la la, is perfect. The Parallax is so accurate I can almost range estimate off of it. Overall this is a very clean example of the classic 5-25. She tracks so good it's insane, I have taken this out to 1400+ and she works perfect.

The buts... I have to pare down my collection and need some cash, so sadly this baby has to go to a good home. Buy with confidence, I have only ever sold top tier gear here.

Comes with throw lever, caps, and original box with manual,

Rings/level stay with me.
No Trades please.

$2550 shipped and fully insured CONUS.

Sako TRG22 Pre-2013 Poor Extraction/Ejection

Ok,

To put it simply:

I have a pre- 2013 TRG-22 that I had PVA put a Bartlein Heavy Palma on that is a tack driver. No exaggeration, the rifle can put bullets in the same hole as long as the operator does his job.

The issue:

The rifle has poor extraction / ejection when running the bolt. Especially, if you don't run the bolt like you mean it.

Question: Has anyone resolved this issue? (aftermarket spring kit, cutting coils from the extractor spring, sacrificing virgins with foot fetches @Enough Said .... anything.)

I've seen one thread on the hide ,that I can't refind, indicating, I think, that due to the change in cartridge from 308 Win to 65 CM you need to cut a few loops from the extractor spring.

HELP, this shit was pissing me off royally this past week with @Enough Said and @lowlight. (I shot well enough, but it could have been better without that issue.)
