So, just bought my one rifle battery...for all big game in North America, Africa and Argentina and New Zealand. The rifle is a Interarms Mark X Alaskan in .375 H+H. I am moving back to Alaska to live in 6 months. I have hunts scheduled in Africa ( Plains and Cape Buffalo), New Zealand (Red Stag), Wyoming (Elk, Mule deer and Pronghorn), and, of course, as a resident Alasakan.......Brown bear, Grizzly, Dall Sheep, Moose, Caribou, Sitka Blacktail, Elk, Black Bear, Musk Ox and Buffalo.

I am looking for recommendations for a one and done scope to go with this rifle. I hand load and will be shooting everything from 230-350grains. Any thoughts?

I'm in the process of getting started in bolt guns after shooting precision gas guns for a while, and was considering a .223 Rem to maintain some level of compatibility. My current plan is a Zermatt Origin action and prefit barrel, manufacturer to be decided. My initial thought was to go with a .223 Match chamber or .223AI if I was feeling adventurous. However, I have a large pile of 5.56 77Gr loads that I would like to be able to use in some way. Is there any chamber selection that satisfies the ability to use 80/90 gr bullets, but also tolerant of 5.56 loads and might allow the use of the pile of 5.56 brass I have. This will also be my transition into handloading, so I have no commitment to dies, etc. Thanks for the advice.

How much worse can it get with the way people communicate or do business now?

The past year it's gotten bad, here are a few examples;

1. Trying to buy a used vehicle from a very large dealership. You have to get through six layers of different people before you actually talk with a sales person who actually knows anything about the vehicle they advertise and have. When I say they know anything, actually they know only that it exists. You ask simple questions like does it have a trailer tow package? That's like asking who killed Kennedy to these idiots. Look at the rear, under the bumper, does it have a receiver hitch, and a place to plug in a cable from the trailer???

2. Then there's the... you have to fill out a finance agreement form.

My response - I'm paying cash, not financing it.

Idiots response - that's our policy when selling a vehicle.

My response - Ok, I'll fill it out, but I don't allow my personal information to be shared or sold.

Idiots response - we're removing your name and number from our system, and will cease contact.

I guess they really didn't want to sell the vehicle?

3. You call the dealership, and talk with a sales person, you ask for pictures, and specific information, and they say they will text you back.

Nothing, no response.

4. Call a used car dealership, ask about a vehicle. They say we'll text you back. Because the vehicle was involved in an accident, I ask to have close up pictures of the repaired area, and any pictures prior to the repair.

They say Ok, we'll take some pictures and text them. A few minutes later I receive pictures of a computer monitor that is displaying the pictures I want. Because the scan rate of the cell phone camera is greater than the scan rate of the computer monitor, the pictures have lines and are blurred. I ask if they could email me the pictures that are displayed on their computer. Guys response is I only have the pictures that are on my phone. What the fuck, you told me you were going out to take pictures of the vehicle?

5. Private Party selling a used vehicle on Autotrader. I message him asking him to call or text me. No response
Next day I do the same, followed up with is the vehicle still available???

His Response - Yes, vehicle is still available, and I have title in hand.

What the fuck, am I supposed to read his mind???

6. PM a guy on the Hide about a scope mount. Saying I'll take it if I can mail payment, as I don't have a way to do electronic payments.

His response - can you do PayPal or Venmo?

My response - I don't have a way to do electronic payments, will you take a check or money order.

His response - Yes.

My response - can I get your address to mail funds to?

His response - can you pay me with PayPal or Venmo?

Dr. Walensky claimed that the CDC would scrutinize certain types of adverse event data referred to as Proportional Reporting Ratio (PRR) from reports submitted to the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS). An official at the CDC quietly admitted in June that those reports were ignored, and went so far as to say that “data mining is outside of the agency’s purview.”


An official from the CDC, Dr. John Su, told The Epoch Times in July that the CDC began performing PRRs in February 2021 and “continues to do so to date.”


A CDC spokesperson repeated the lie in August 2022.


Here is a copy of Walensky’s letter to Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) in which she finally admits herself that the PRRs were never analyzed.




The letter gives no indication as to why the CDC wasn’t honest.


Sen. Ron Johnson’s scathing response opened with this:

I write to you regarding inadequate and unacceptable response to my letters about the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) surveillance of COVID-19 vaccine adverse events. You have failed to explain why the CDC made inconsistent statements about the data it generates to track these adverse events. Moreover, even though I clearly asked CDC to provide the data that it supposedly generated to track vaccine adverse events, you failed to do so. This data should be made public immediately to better inform the American people about risks of specific adverse events relating to the COVID-19 vaccines. In the same letter, Walensky claimed that the CDC used Empirical Bayesian data mining, which she claimed is more reliable, and that the PRR mining results “were generally consistent with EB data mining.”





Then why lie repeatedly? Perhaps because the Hong Kong Fluey was never the threat the CDC and the Biden administration wanted it to be.

Well I'm looking at getting into a 308 AR and want it as short as possible while being a rifle. So that lands us around 14.5" pinned and welded. I don't know crap about ARs in 308 other than there are two versions which are greatly different and parts for one don't work on the other. I do plan to run a suppressor on it, either a Sandman or Nomad.

But I guess where I'm stumped is what would be the best barrel for it around the $350 or less range? I don't plan to ever shoot it past 300 yards.

The only looking into it so far that I've done is Criterion barrels, not sure how you guys feel about them. But they offer some 308 options in 16 and 18 inch, so I would have to cut it down. The guy at Criterion did tell me to NOT go with chrome lined or nitride barrel if I plan to cut it down because it could ruin it, stick with Stainless he said.

I'm open to all suggestions!!!!!
