Suppressors Help me pick a .30 cal suppressor

So I've been researching and trying to find something that will fit my criteria for a .30 cal can. I have a Rugged Obsidian .45 already so I am covered on handgun suppression. So far I've been coming up dry with a good option for what I'm looking for.

My criteria:
-Option to direct thread for a bolt gun as well as having a QD mount option for AR's, etc.
-Stellite baffles
-User serviceable
-Ability to remove front of suppressor to make it into a "k" configuration
-Lightweight ~10 to 12 oz.

The usage for my suppressor would be as an all around rifle suppressor for use on rapid fire as well as being light enough to take hunting. Thus the reason why I'd like to make it into a k configuration for hunting. For hunting it would go on a 24" 6.5 creedmoor so that would also benefit by having a k length can.

The closest I've found to what I want is the SiCo Omega 36M. Cons are that it is not user serviceable and doesn't have satellite baffles. I also have no need for the pistol suppressing option.

I really like Rugged and their Radiant 762, but I don't believe you can direct thread it.

Does anyone have any good suggestions?

How Many Here Have Ate at a Hooters in Houston? This Might Not Be Good for You.

For those of you that have ate at a Hooters in Houston you may want to get a barf bag next to you when you read this.

In the article it was implied that the restaurant didn't conduct a background check. From looking at the photograph there are probably two reasons why.

Nevertheless, what looks like a sweet, demur and innocent young lady is actually a disgusting POS.

Another lesson learned is to always be nice to the people handling your food.

What’s your favorite tripod ?

I have one from colmountaintech.com. I found it to be fantastic. Super lightweight actually converts to a trekking pole. Converts from a trekking pole to a tripod in less than a minute. Holds up to 40 pounds shoots really well. Has anyone found anything similar to this? Or what is your favorite. I haul a lot of things on my back into the backcountry so I need ultralight stuff. This is solved a lot of my problems with weight adding more room in my pack and giving me stability with a heavy backpack.

New Hunting rifle project

Been brain storming on how to do my semi dedicated rifle for hunting. 90% of its life will be smoking your run of the mill game in Texas as a 6.5 lapua since I’m fully stocked on everything I need to load for it and 500 rounds of lapua brass. but I will have the opertunity to get in some elk action starting next season and I really don’t want to fool with anymore rifles and glass just to acomidate a couple hunts over the next few years.
Right now I’m thinking of doing a 300wsm as the backup, from what I can gather I “should” be able to run 180’s at 2950 to 3050ish and 190’s just behind that before I’ve maxed out my short action geometry.
Base build is as follows…
Manners LRH
Impact or Antix short action. (Open to others but leaning to impact)
Proof carbon 22” so I can run suppressed comfortably.
Not decided on glass yet but I’ll probubly find a used vortex AMG or another Schmidt if our overloads will stop fucking my paychecks to death.

Open to thoughts on if I’m looking at this reasonably.

Constitutional Carry Ruled Unconstitutional in Texas

9 min
This is an interesting discussion about a court ruling in TX potentially giving 18-20 year old's the right to carry a handgun. The court suggested a couple of paths to do this that they felt stayed within the constitutional guidelines.

What are your thoughts on adding any requirements to 18-20 year old's in order to carry?

Personally I think some type of training should be available, maybe required or at least recommended. Carrying a weapon comes with a lot of responsibilities and legal issues. A course designed to cover these issues would be of great value in keeping these young adults out of trouble. Older adults as well as far as that goes.

Physical Fitness Weighted Vest for kids

I'm trying to get my son (7years old) to improve his speed and strength. He's not in a bad spot now for his age but I want him to improve more. I know he's not supposed to start free weights yet but push-ups , sit ups and squats (body weight) aren't really doing anything.

I was thinking about a weighted vest and having him do sprints, push-ups squats and situps with the vest on.

Thoughts from football parents?

SOLD FS Sig MPX Gen 2 - done the right way (4" Barrel)

Up for sale is my Gen 2 Sig MPX. I bought this gun as an 8" barrel model and immediately had it cut and rethreaded to a 1/2x28 90 degree shoulder, eliminating Sigs weird thread pitch and taper. The barrel was cut to 4" by a very reputable manufacture (If you PM me I will give you that manufacture but I don't want to put it here because this was done as a favor to me, its not something they will just do and I don't want their phone ringing off the hook).

I then installed a Geissele Airborne MPX charging handle ($119), 8" Midwest industries suppressor ready rail ($165), MCX Rattler PDW Grip ($30) or I can provide the stock grip if you prefer, Impact Precision Barrier Hand Stop ($25), KE Arms Ambi-Safety ($50) and ATC AR Gold Trigger ($279) as all my builds have. Finally I added the folding, ALUMINIM FS1913a SB Tactical Folding Stock ($249). This is a PISTOL, so NO NFA laws apply.

I will also include an Esstac Multicam-Black double mag pouch with WTF straps ($37.50) and the Streamlight Protac/Ariska mount combo with standard push button tailcap (no tape switch) (~$125 value)

It is ready for the suppressor...or faux suppressor of your choice (I will even throw in the 1/2x28 Dead Air Wolfman Direct thread adapter as well ($89)
Gun comes with two 20 round mags and one 30 round mag.

The gun has run absolutely flawlessly since the jump including FMJ Round Nose, Flat Nose and Winchester Ranger T series hollow points and is incredibly smooth shooting. An indoor carbine match once made an exception for me to run this gun in the competition...they banned it afterward.
It's an accurate sucker too, once bored at a long-range bolt gun shoot I brought it out and was engaging the full-size torso at 250y with relative ease. Maybe that's impressive, maybe it's not, but it was certainly beyond any capability I ever expected to need it for.

The pictures are shown with what it looks like with a Dead Air Wolfman (top photo) and Wolfman (bottom photo) installed in the short configuration. The gun is only 17" folded to the tip of the rail and fits the smallest of bags. It's the perfect home defense and travel companion.

Gun does NOT include EOTECH, irons or suppressor (obviously).
Price includes shipping to the FFL of your choice.
