I’m wanting to get my son a 6mm creedmoor for long range targets and whitetail deer.
Has anyone taken deer with one? What ammo did you use and how did it perform?
I know the cartridge is plenty adequate for deer. His hunting shots will be under 200 yards. Most will be under 100 yards.
My main concern is penetration and blood trails. We hunt in very thick brush. Without a blood trail it’s nearly impossible to find them.

Selling my Remington 700 SPS Short Action, Prefix RR. Bolt face is .473 (.308 Win or similar). Action does have spray paint, easily cleaned up with acetone or brake cleaner.

Comes with Timney 510 tuned to just under 1.5 lbs (repeatedly tested to be drop safe), KRG Bolt Lift (the original), aftermarket recoil lug from PTG (able to be pinned, but not currently, was previously installed using a lug indexing tool) and bedded 20 MOA Nightforce steel rail.

Bolt lugs have been lapped. With an X-Caliber prefit remage barrel (.308) chambered by Crown Ridge it was a .5 MOA setup. Action cycles great for a Remington (just under 2k rounds total), ejection is solid and overall a great action, just consolidating what I have.

Progressive student activist David Hogg on Friday called on people across the country to rally in protest of the Supreme Court ruling that overturned Roe v. Wade, attempting to extend his anti-gun advocacy to a different issue.
“I’m mad as hell and I’m ready to protest,” Hogg tweeted. “Let’s do something.”
He then tweeted out a link for people to find protests across the country. “Let’s rally at the Federal courthouse across the country sign up here to protest tonight.”
He claimed, “Let me be clear This isn’t just about Roe this is about the Supreme Court going backwards against 200+ years of jurisprudence yesterday on gun laws endangering us all.”
Hogg then tweeted that Russian President Vladimir Putin wanted Americans to be divided politically:

On a day when Clarence Thomas is undoubtably getting death threats due to his majority opinion in overturning Roe V. Wade, he doubles down by saying it’s time to review other Supreme Court cases as well. He’s gone Gangsta & will not be intimidated by the woke alphabet mafia.

“In a passage blasting jurisprudence around the 14th Amendment, Thomas said abortion was not a form of “liberty” protected under the due process clause.

He then expressly named the cases that guaranteed the rights to contraception, same-sex relations, and same-sex marriage — Griswold v. Connecticut (1965), Lawrence v. Texas (2003), and Obergefell v. Hodges (2015), respectively — as being appropriate for the court to “reconsider” given they relied on similar reasoning.

“We have a duty to ‘correct the error’ established in those precedents,” Thomas wrote.”

in my little town of 2500 people in kansas they have been advertising a pride picnic. the day finally came and sure enough. the dude setting up is wearing a rainbow cape. i was sitting there in amazement when a couple young men drove by and hollered super fag at the guy setting up. i laughed till i had tears in my eyes and when i thought i had the laughter under control the wind caught his rainbow “pride” cape and he really did look like super fag. these idiots from the city come out and get a permit and make fools of themselves when no one shows up.

The ruling on this case is to be released in the coming days. Arguably and in some regards it's bigger than many of the others recently released. The case is W. Virginia vs the EPA.

At the heart of the case, the EPA was handing out regulations like candy, almost like they were the ATF. They had no law backing up those rulings so 17 states sued and eventually the case was all rolled into one with 26 states suing the EPA over HOW the rules are made and other relevant issues (such as a lack of recourse or accountability from the government).

The mailer has direct instructions on how Democrat Wyoming voters can change their party affiliation to cast a vote for Cheney, who is down 28 points to Trump-endorsed Harriet Hageman. The mailer also displays Cheney’s campaign web address for Democrat voters to learn more specifics.
