Gen 3 Razor/higher magnification

I currently have a Gen 2 razor on my RimX and I hate the 3 set screws to adjust the zero. I am looking at getting a Gen 3 razor. I like the ebr reticle. For the guys who run the Gen 3 razor do you find that the reticle is too small running 15-20 power. That’s where I run my Gen 2. I had a very little bit of time on a Gen 3 and I kinda felt that but it could also be because I didn’t have a ton of time behind it.

Nomad 30 wont shoot, warranty issue or just bad luck?

I could use some advice. I have 3 Dead Air suppressors; Sandman L Key-Mo, Nomad L DT and a Nomad 30 DT. I bought the Sandman L and Nomad L first and they shoot great on every rifle I own. I picked up the Nomad 30 most recently and the groups are usually double the normal size when I use it. I have tried it across 5 rifles and 4 calibers, it is always double my usual dispersion or more. The groups seem to throw flyers every other round.
Is this something that might be covered under warranty or is it just bad luck and I need to deal with it?

Firearms Vudoo V22 barreled action

Selling a Vudoo V22 barreled action. Barrel length is 18” and measures .88 at the muzzle. Barreled action includes a trigger tech diamond 2 stage trigger and 6 Vudoo mags. I’m the second owner of the rifle so I don’t have an exact round count on it. I’ve owned the rifle for about 2 and a half years and have shot 3 NRL22 matches with it and probably have around another 150 rounds through it in scope zeroing and assorted shooting. Everything functions as expected and is in good condition. I’m selling as I don’t have time to shoot both centerfire and rimfire comps. Additional photos available upon request.$1500 shipped to your FFL.

The Guv'ment model .45 finally got a medal...

I just pulled the following out of thin air, in a text, to a competitive pistol shooting friend. No joke.

Did you hear that they have redesignated the military sidearm formally know as the

"Colt 1911A1"

Government model pistol... & accordingly, it's classic chambering:

45 ACP
(A.utomatic C.olt
P.istol) cartridge?

Yep.

It's the first weapon in the history of the US DOD weapons arsenal to receive a human'like military service medal of sorts, after (both sidearm and cartridge) has served faithfully for over 100+ years in both military war time & peace, law enforcement, competitive pistol shooting in all conceivable forms & loved as well as relied upon by millions of Americans for personal defense... & last but not least, countless recreational shooters, world wide.???

Yep-

The pistol is now redesignated/ called the:

"19'AARP"

and the cartridge, is now the:

" .45 ASSDEPO. "

ASSDEPO being the official acronym that stands for:

Automatic
Soc. Sec.
Dissability
Entitlment
Pay
Out

[after gran'pa caught your punk self in his shed at 0245 tryna steal his lawn mower; him accordingly following his 'drafted into 'Nam training protocol:

B.R.A.S.S,911.

For the uniformed, "BRASS" is the old school USMC shooting acronym:

B.reath

(while)R.elease(-ing)

A.im

S.queeze

S.hoot.

Let's have a round for such a faithful, long serving veteran of these United States, now formally & correctly honored & decorated!

Cheers!

Sumac has entered the chat

So I’ve got about an acre that’s full of sumac. I recently cut down what was in a 75’ circle. They’re mostly 1-2” diameter so nothing big.

Ever since, they’re spreading like wild fire.

They’re popping up in my grass as fast as I can cut them down.

I think they’re related to the coyote family and know that the population is down so they’ve increased production.

Trying to get rid of it, I’ve tried burning and the 41% glyphosate shit that you’re “supposed” to mix like 16:1 with water. I went about 50/50 because I’m done being nice.

The glyphosate works on the stuff that I can see, but in two days there will be new growth right next to the shit I sprayed.

Have any of you found a way to kill it off?

Suppressor with a brake on it, does it help or not?

I am from Finland, and we have a long, well i would say medium time on the history in firearms, that we have been able
to use suppressor, and for sure they are made to reduce the muzzle blast and reduce the sound.
And this is the purpose of suppressor in these days too.
But in sport shooting, the spotting of the own shot´s in few different competition, or even on a hobby shooter, it is nice to able to spot your own shot´s.
I have seen quite many USA suppressor manufacturers, that offers the muzzle brake on the tip of the suppressor.
We have a coversation on a Finnish forum of this subject, and there are only me and one other guy that do think that the brake will
help to reduce the rest of the gas burst that come from the suppressor, since the suppressor by it self it is not doing the recoil reduce that much, it does
kind of push the gun, and not killing the recoil, like a pure muzzle brake on the barrel does.
But the thing is, how much does the suppressor with a muzzle brake on it reduce the recoil, is it proniment?
I have shot few suppressor that has a muzzle brake, and i can say that it does work.
But since you have more companies and users in USA these days, what is your thoughts of this?
Will the suppressor with a brake make the rifle more stable?

King by him self just made a video about this same thing yeasterday, and i would love to see a longer video from Frank about this subject.

Short Barrel Ranch Rifle Cartridge Choice

I’m looking to rebarrel my old Tikka T3 243 into something to use as my ranch rifle/truck gun to keep in my rig daily. I’d like it to be as short as reasonably possible, and I’d like to use factory ammo just for the cost and convenience in a gun that will be abused and fired a lot. I’ve got a peak44 stock on the way and a Leupold VX3 that’s been waiting to be put on something. The cartridges I’m looking at as of now are 6CM, 25CM, 6.5CM and of course good old 308. Open to other chambering suggestions as well. Duties will include dispatching coyotes, feral hogs, and whitetail if the opportunity presents itself during season. Likely maximum range on live targets will be 400 yards just given the brush and topography of my place. I currently use a 22CM at 22” but I’d like it to be a few inches shorter for getting it out the truck window easily and quickly. I’d build another 22CM shorter but that’s boring. Rifle will be suppressed full time.

Yes I realize I’m giving up performance with factory ammo and a short barrel but this tool isn’t going to be about maximizing performance, it’s about easy handling and being capable enough to be useful. I know there’s plenty of posts about short barrels but I’m looking for experience specifically with factory ammunition. So who’s running factory ammo in a 16-20” rifle, what cartridge and muzzle velocities are you getting? Have you seen good kills on small to medium size game with your setup?

Thoughts on these lower-profile HUB direct thread adapters?

Open to others that I may have missed. I have a TBAC titanium version on one can and a SS Otter Creek on another (latter is not lo-pro), but am interested in canvassing the field.

I’m looking to reduce the OAL of my suppressor a little. Not sure if there’s a material difference between titanium vs SS in this application (besides weight), but I note the SS Otter Creek one seems to have less wobble when spinning it on. Maybe that’s not important?

Must have wrench flats and be DT and want quality (low runout). Price not important.

Kinda attracted to the Rex as it reduces the OAL the most, but I wonder about Rex quality and if the design has some trade-offs (reduces blast chamber too much, maybe?).
