Lock-ease

Unfortunately, I made the mistake of using lock-ease after cleaning my 6.5 CM Criterion barrel. At the time it had about 1200 rounds fired through it. It was shooting a consistent 5 shot .5 MOA. I went to the range and the first few groups were good. After about 15 rounds the groups went haywire. I had no clue why. I went home and ran a borescope and it showed there was a lot of copper in the barrel. So I cleaned the barrel again and got most of the copper out. I went to the range again and same thing happened. Barrel shot well until about 15 rounds and then the groups went to hell. Borescoped it again and it was filled with copper.
Don't have a clue what to do next. New barrel I guess. Unless somebody can give me a few pointers.

The Stock Doc

D6FA4CFB-A8A4-4D11-9D00-633EDBE09AE8.jpeg

Just got my stock back from @jducos aka the stock doc. I am really impressed he did a great job converting my McMillan game scout to an adjustable comb. He even took the time to not only cut out a notch for bolt throw on the front of the comb, he touched it with paint that matches my camo.

Disregard all the chipping and scraping on the stock. That was all there before. This stock has been all over with me, now I can finally get rid of my stock pack and still maintain my cheek weld.

I would trust him with any of my stocks.

Thanks Joe!

DIY Wins

I created this thread for people to post their DIY success stories.

Not sure if this a general trend in Biden's America or my bad fortune, but a couple examples just from this year:

1. Plumber responds to my aerobic septic system, screws up the power wiring, and I install a new pump and adjust the height of the floats myself. Watched some YouTube videos.

2. Verizon installer doesn't realize the power box is not wired to the wall panel. I rewired it myself with a few cheap parts from Home Depot.

S Williams, I don’t get it

So watching her play some 3rd wold combloc chick (who’s ok looking; like a Texas 8, CA 5)

First off, Williams is one ugly bitch, like not eye candy remotely which takes much of the point out of watching woman’s sports, especially compared to the little blonde she’s playing

Two, she’s just now tied, this blonde chick is from a shitty combloc country, Williams is super rich fully, sponsored in the richest country on earth

I just don’t get the hype with Williams

Sidearms & Scatterguns I need a revolver

As typical for 2022 I saw a meme the other day that made me realize I needed a revolver. I have a Ruger Single Six that I enjoy shooting. It's a good small game pistol and I take it to the deer stand with me while bowhunting with the 22 WMR cylinder for coyotes. I want a centerfire revolver.

Main use case is shooting for fun. It's unlikely that it's something I would carry concealed on a daily basis. It is very likely that I would toss it in rotation for carrying in my Hill People Gear kit bag though. It's also likely that I would want to try using it to whack a few whitetail doe here in Nebraska. Could potentially be carried in bear country (Wyo, MT, Alaska) when I go camping or hunting, but likely I would carry a double stack 10mm like a G20/G40 or Sig P320 XTEN.

I've been looking at the S&W 610 4" (10mm) since I already have 10mm ammo and since it can shoot .40
I also stumbled across the S&W 350 (350 Legend) which seems like something I may like owning, but its a little big for what I want right now I think.

What do our resident revolver experts recommend? Open to other brands/calibers, the S&W 610 is just where my initial research has taken me.

Fatal Police shooting in Columbus a couple of days ago.

View bodycam footage - fast forward to the 2:00min mark.

back story is a 2a.m. raid to get a domestic abuser with outstanding warrants.

Thoughts?

Trump unleashes dozens of mean memes against Biden and the FBI while his 'allies' beg him to stop

Trump ain't listening.

He's tired of conservatives being the catcher and not the pitcher, like the GOP being quiet and civil has worked so well for them. His memes are so mean, it caused the Insider to write a slanted article to try and counter the truth. And who are his concerned 'allies', Mitch McConnell, Mike Pence?

Go 'Orange man bad.'

Brand new Glock, possible issues

Brand spanking new Glock 19, gen 5.
First 3 mags, Fiocchi (115 grain if i remember right) listed on the box as 1230 fps which I thought seemed a bit hot but was not listed as +p.
I do not think this is normal, in fact seems very abnormal to me.
The pistol seems to work fine, nothing unusual like jams or anything like that, all rounds went bang and shooting seemed smooth.
I'm very very used to big revolvers that kick hard so if recoil was above norm I would never notice it (I usually run a .44mag or a .454 Casull).
All rounds went where I put them, I was just plinking on the side of the road to break in the new pistol, no target other than a small top load freezer that had been washed down the creek bed....seemed like a good bullet catcher to me ?

Should I send this in for repair work, or get a better fitting striker ?
Or....is this normal for a glock ? It's my first Glock....am not overly familiar with them.

Maoism in America, Amazing interview!

Some of you may watch former Seal Shawn Ryans show already. I think this is his most important interview. It's crucial to see the connections between the Maoist revolution and todays takeover of all of our central messaging by the MSM, and the massive indoctrination of todays youth by academia, and organizations like BLM. It's a harrowing interview and really something to take in. Not short, but worth a listen if you have the chance. I am going to share this with my friends and family for sure.

Emerson liner lock failure and trip to E.R.

Second Emerson commander, gave first one away as a gift. Love the knife and wave feature. In a fit of rage I went to “place” it into a 3/8 sheet of osb. Didn’t stick first time (my fault). Second go of it the blade closed on my index finger and went a good way into the bone. Had to get mine 7 stitches and be embarrassed. Iv not trusted this knife since. I still carry it, want to send it in for warranty work. Did a little trolling and found out this is much more common than I thought. Anyone on here have one or a story of the liner lock failing. About to order a Spyderco Manix 2 and retire the Emerson.

Sidearms & Scatterguns Building a Gamer Glock

I’m going to build out a G17 that I can use for competitions. I’ve got a Zev slide on the way cut for a red dot and a new barrel.

Where I’m not finding a ton of info is what internals provide the best bang for the buck?

The comps I’ll be running this in are run and guns so I need to keep it reliable when it gets dirty, wet, etc. with that in mind I’m probably going to keep the stock trigger. I already run a (-) connector and I’ll do some polishing of the internals.

What about tungsten guiderods, lighter recoil springs, etc? Where would you start and what’s going to make an actual difference.
