More outrageous attacks against us from the lefties/commies

I got this email from Tactical Machining, a company that makes 80% lowers and the like:

The tyranny of the current regime knows no bounds. From having the ATF extrajudicially change the definition of "Receiver" to try and outlaw 80% receivers to the government pressuring credit card processors and shipping companies to refuse to do business with gun companies. They have changed the definition of anything that did not fit their ideology.

XPO Logistics is a trrucking company sent by the forging company to pick up several cases of forgings that were the wrong model forging. We loaded it up into their truck and before they left their dispatch had their driver come inside and inquire if it was gun parts. We truthfully answered "No". They asked what it was. We told them unmachined forgings, raw metal. They asked if it was supposed to be made into gun parts. Once again, we truthfully told them "Yes". They refused the shipment and made us unload the forgings into the parking lot.

We also received a letter sent to us by a credit card processor refusing to do business with us since we manufacture 80% receivers.

The Tyranny is Real!

This shit is really getting outrageous.

Plate carrier loadout questions

Looking at grabbing my first civilian plate carrier and want to keep the loadout pretty simple... for now anyways.

3 rifle mags up front, side plates (eventually) tourniquet pouch and a bladder for the back, eventually.

Do you guys run your sidearm mag pouches on your vest's? I dont see a lot of them when looking on youtube at what people run.

When I was in Afghan, I just ran 6 rifle mags on the front, which sucked when in prone positions.
IFAK & grenade pouches..

Anything else I should be looking at to throw on this thing? I see guys running attached bags on the back also.

Those damn anti-2A gun-destroying Jack Booted Thugs

So last week this nut job brings three guns into the VT State police because "These were my grandfathers and after Uvalde I don't want them and I want to have them destroyed because all guns are evil." Another delusional leftist retard...

The desk sergeant looks at the three guns and told her that, first, these guns are historical, pieces of firearms art... and quite valuable. Second, that they are not the kinds of firearms that criminals use. These aren't those kinds of guns. And finally that destroying them would be a worse crime. But if she really wanted to get rid of them, there is a reputable gun shop just a half mile away. And she could go there and the owner would happily take them off her hands.

And she did. And he did.

Then, knowing that I collect old Parkers, the owner (who gave her a pittance for the guns) let me have this for... a pittance. About 1/5th of market value. I don't know what he paid, if anything, nor do I care. They are safe and this one came home. He kept the other two for himself, including a mint Stevens Favorite .22 and another gun that he did not say what it was (I am sure it was nice!). So an incredible Parker goes into my custody and care... and I could not be happier!!

So today, I became the proud owner of a Parker D-Grade (may even be a C-grade) from 1902. Spectacular damascus barrels. Significant case color and perfect case on the water table and under forend. Damascus pattern is unreal. Skeleton buttplate. The gun is so light it swings like a 20 gauge. Perfect balance. Perfect weight barrels in IC/Mod.

Yeah... it would have been a crime to destroy this. And a shout out to the VSP troopers who appreciate history and art and quality and know what a piece of art is when they see it.

Today is a good day! This gun will go bird hunting with me this fall for sure!!!

surprising vehicle costs per year report

Consumer reports listed the most expensive vehicle brand to own and the least expensive. It turns out, that Caddilac was the least expensive and BMW was by far the most expensive. I think I saw it was over 10 times more expensive than Cadilac. Now while I don't have any arguments with BMW being a money pit. I had an ex-wife that drove a BMW and both she and the car were money pits. That car cost a mint to own and repair. It developed a leak in the alternator bracket. Yep, the bracket. Apparently, the alternator is liquid-cooled and they run the coolant through the bracket and an O-ring started leaking. You had to destroy the car to get to it and replace the 5-cent part they charged you $5 for. That was only one of a string of stupid expensive things that went wrong with that car. I'm not sure which I was happier to get rid of, her or that car. No, definitely her. I could always have the car crushed.
I was surprised by Caddilac but I don't know as I've never owned one. Although those CTS-V's look sweet! I don't feel that nuclear costs to own BMWs extend to their motorcycles because I have owned a few in the past and currently own a R1250RT. Of course, I maintain all my bikes like they were Swiss watches. Although I ride it like I stole it. Perhaps if I neglected it more it would explode. Nope, can't even think about it.
If I could have some faith that it wouldn't eat me alive I would happily own a Caddilac Blackwing. Not sure I can call it a Blackwing with a straight face though.

Country Star John Rich Thanks Joe Biden’s FBI After Trump Raid: ‘See You In November!’

https://www.breitbart.com/entertain...ens-fbi-after-trump-raid-see-you-in-november/

NEW YORK - NOVEMBER 11: (AFP OUT) John Rich performs before President George W. Bush takes the podium at a Veterans Day event at the Intrepid Sea-Air-Space Museum November 11, 2008 in New York City. President Bush formally rededicated the newly-refurbished USS Intrepid and museum in honor of Veterans Day. …

Country music star John Rich reacted to the FBI raiding former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home, proclaiming, “See you in November!”
“A BIG thank you to Joe’s FBI for raiding Trump’s home! You guys just poured 81 million gallons of premium Patriot octane on an already blazing Freedom fire! See, you are good for something after all:) Much appreciated! See you in November!” Rich tweeted on Wednesday.

On Monday, in an unprecedented act, the FBI executed a raid of President Trump’s home. The federal agents were reportedly focused on documents the former president may have taken with him from the White House to Mar-A-Lago after leaving office.
Rich is not alone in his thoughts, as most Americans say the FBI’s raid on President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home has motivated them to vote in the 2022 midterm election, a Convention of States Action/Trafalgar Group survey released Wednesday found.

rem 700 SA Magnum?

So I was looking for a barrel for my new Tikka that I bought and I can across some forums that said they started making rem 700 actions again? If that's the case I'd probably drop the Tikka build. Does anyone know if this is true? And if so are they making any in SA magnums? I feel like the Remington route would be a hell of a lot cheaper and more customizable than a Tikka at this point.

Need precision reloading advice please

I’m noticing an accuracy difference on paper between new brass and resized brass and trying to figure out the culprit. This is 223 Lapua brass and 69gr smk’s. New brass that has been expander mandreled and dechamfered/deburred shoots an .3” at 100. Once fired brass is double that plus some in some groups. I’m punching the primer, then annealing in my amp then resizing to .002 bump from the shoulder without the expander ball and then trimming to 1.75” and dechamfering etc and then expander mandreling the neck. I’m checking my bump with a Whidden bump gauge and it’s consistent. Yet the groups are doo doo. Any advice? Any thing to look into? I’m getting new brass shoulder at 1.4425-1.4430. Fired is 1.445-70. I’m also seating to the same depth from ogive.

Ok Muppets. Even after decades of shooting, I'm still evolving.

Have been shooting a metric ton as well as training a lot of people over the last months. Day. Night. In 115 degrees. Sand storm. Rain and mud. Whatever.

While I haven't picked up some weird Jedi trick or anything, something hit me the other day that stuck with me for a bit and had me rethink something. It's something that I had already done years ago, to an extent, when deployed while carrying a Mk12.

As most of you know, the Mk12 is an 18 inch heavy barrel SPR. Basically a 18 inch HBAR 'carbine' with an optic on it. Given that issued weapons can range from 10.3 all the way up to a 20 inch A4, the 18 inch barrel on these wasn't some crazy long length. We 'adopted' the Mk12 to be used as basically a regular carbine by carrying a pouch for the suppressor, adding a MRDS on the top of the optic which put it at basically the height of modern RDS risers and even would take the QD bipod off the gun until it was needed. This gave you a 18 inch gun that while not as light as a Mk18 or shorter variants, was still capable as a 'carbine' and removed a lot of the downsides you have with larger, longer, heavier precision specific weapons. I've cleared structures with a stripped down Mk12Mod1 and Insight MRDS on it. I'd do it again tomorrow if I had to.

So this got me thinking about the 11.5 carbine I use 99.8% of the time with a suppressor on it. Let's look at the benefits of having that suppressor on it and then I'll tell you where we're going with this:

- Quieter (duh)
- Slightly faster muzzle velocity; in reality, looking at the terminal ballistics threshold on M193, I'm getting ~4 extra yards from the added velocity. Not life changing.
- Less/better environmental disturbance (kicking less dirt up off of things when shooting, etc)
- Significant flash suppression at night

That's about it.

The cons:

- It's heavier
- Changes center of gravity
- It's the length of a 16 inch carbine with the suppressor attached
- Possibility for gas issues
- Dirty
- No recoil dampening / negates any benefit from a quality brake

I've determined that for a carbine (not talking about precision guns here!), suppressors are basically only really useful (other than if you're shooting alone or just dicking around) for night time shooting due to the sound reduction and primarily, due to the superior flash suppression.

But..but..its quieter!?!

Right.

But it's not like its a fart in the wind quiet, and I'm already wearing electronic ear pro with comms attached so being able to fire the weapon without hearing protection is moot. The gun is lighter and faster. My MAMS brake gives me the recoil of a 22LR and has allowed for much faster weapon presentation and rounds on target. Any 'loss' of terminal ballistics due to the negligible loss in FPS at the muzzle is not even measurable. The only real con is 'its loud' ; see: Everyone is wearing Peltors or an AMP headset anyways. Plus if you're using sidearms and/or going inside structures, you're using already using headsets anyways.

Take that suppressor off during the day time as it's not helping shit. Stow it in the zip on panel on your carrier. Bring that bitch out when you go to grab your PVS31 insert when the sun starts going on.

Fight me.

New build caliber? : 22-250Ackley or 223 Ackley

Want a 22 caliber rifle that's capable, low recoiling with good component availability. The 22-250 AI launching an 80-90gr bullet looks really good. 223 AI also looks good and has the best component availability. These are my 2 frontrunners.

224 Valk and 22Nosler aren't truly unobtainium but they're scarce and expensive. And the 22-250AI outperforms them anyway.

Are there any pitfalls to these calibers like apt to form brass donuts or no reamers available? What says The Hide?
