New to long range. AI AT or AT-X

I have lots of gas guns. I am going to be taking a long range precision class and need to pick up a nice bolt gun. I’m new to this page but have been lurking for a week or so. I traded a HK Sp5 for Nightforce ACTAR 7-35 dark earth. No I need a gun to put it on. I can get a new AT 6.5 24” folding stock for 4500 including tax and shipping or a new AT-X for 4650. The guy I’m taking the course from so I can’t go wrong with either but I think he’s used to people showing up with Rugers and whatnot. I know after I get some experience, I’ll know exactly what I want and will probably get something different but to start out which should I go with?

Anyone have $4.7m laying around they will let me borrow?

Employee Housing... History Repeating

After living in the company house, the next step is to shop at the company store. Not much $$$ left at the end of the week.

Poor grouping with supressed AR10 308W

Have a Savage MSR 10 Hunter in 308Win.

Has a free floated 16” semi heavy fluted barrel 1 in 10” twist with an adjustable gas block.

Can group slightly under 1 moa with SMK190 @ 2510 fps using the original muzzle brake but can spread shots to 1’ with suppressors like this:

https://enn.aimsport.se/triton-no.-5.html

big and heavy or with this one:

Jaki Titanium Super with 11.6 ounces and a bit less than 8 inch long that add 5.5” to barrel length. https://www.jaki.fi/en/products

Already confirmed that barrel nut is torqued to 30 lbf/ft and also the adjustable gas block.

Same happened with a load with 130grain Barnes TTSX.

Anyone experienced something similar or has any explanation and solution for this?

Movie Theater Sniper: The White Raven

Rented this movie tonight on a whim. Figured what the hell, I'll give it a whirl. Extremely impressed by the movie. It's obviously a Ukrainian propaganda piece, but it's well worth the $. Far better than any liberal drivel that's being produced stateside. It's a little campy and only in subtitles. I'm sure the snipery tactics aren't perfect. What really impressed me is it appeared to be mostly accurate equipment and weaponry. Had plenty of SVD's, Rem 700s, spotted a Savage even; feel bad for that poor sap, lol. Rifles were topped with whatever rusky rifles are topped with (POSP?), Nightforces, Tangent Thetas, and a few others which I didn't recognize. It seemed like most of the camera work through the optics were actually through the optics; no goofy 500x zoom ratio and real reticles.

Overall I really enjoyed the movie. I'm sure the guys who've been there and done that could pick it apart, but for a regular run of the mill fat American like me, I was impressed. Cinematography was shot really well also. Storyline is easy and typical, so don't get ready for your mind to be blown. I just really liked the simplicity of it honestly. Suppressors were utilized as they should be. Cartridges and ballistics were addressed. Bipods and tripods were utilized. Just a really neat movie. There didn't really appear to be any CGI beyond blood spatter, which was refreshing. The shots all seemed realistic also and I believe they dialed each shot for the most part.

If you're after the BAM, BOOM, SMASH, CGI EVERYTHING, you'll be disappointed. My wife fell asleep, so, obviously not super enthralling, lol. I'd rate it a 8.5/10. I can't think of another movie in this genre, or any gun related genre that has been as accurate. Not perfect, but very good.

What suppressor?

I know there is no one do all suppressor for multiple calibers but looking for suggestions on one suppressor that I’d mainly use on 308 bolt rifle and sometimes on an AR 5.56.
I know it’s better to have dedicated suppressor for each but right now just getting one.
I was considering the Dead Air suppressors.
My main desire is sound suppression.
2nd would be size/weight
Flash/signature suppression isn’t something I’m worried about

Adios AAZ... burn in hell!

Hope it was painful and that he finds 72 Virginians waiting to kick the shit out of him.

Sirhr

they're gonna try it again

developing a new excuse to shut down the country and justify 1000s of fake mail in ballots for this nov. ups and usps alreday have special new depts to handle the coming flood. i have always doubted that the rep would take over congress in '22. but, doesn't matter as there are always a sufficiency of rhinos to carry any communist action by the leg branch and protect the swamp.
