Here's my "frankengun" I put together for the Arizona NRL Hunter pro-Am match in Jan and ended up shooting again this past weekend at the Cranbrook, BC NRL Hunter match cause my dumb ass forgot to send my actual hunter gun off for a new barrel... durr

Squeaks in at just 16lbs:

My usual NRL Hunter rig is actually my hunting rifle. It's similar but just a Rem 700 with a 24" Sendero in 6.5 Creed (have 20" .308 and 26" carbon 7saum for hunting too) dropped in the same CRBN. Configured the same way it's about 1/2lbs lighter but without the Impact and with a lightweight double-pull it makes weight for Open-Light as well.

I have both the G3 and he NX8 and as of three weeks ago have competed with both. (4 years with the G3, three stages with the NX8)

The g3 is a little easier to get behind, both “eye box” and eye relief.

The NX8 has better illumination and is lighter. I also like the FC DMX better than the Vortex MOA BDC but that’s not saying much.

I did get a little sucked into the scope with the NX8 on one stage last month and had to go back to a targets at 100 yards but I have very little time behind it. I run a top mount red dot on all of my scopes for square range shooting, or some 75-150 yard stuff that’s larger. Thinking half sized IPSC. Etc. This can mitigate that to some degree.

I looked at three ATACRs before I bought the G3, and had the G3 for years, swapping between it and an NSN ACOG/RMR and then bought an NX8. None of these hold me back at my level.(not saying much) but the size and weight reduction of the NX8 is nice. It’s kind of like a ACOG on steroids. Would have been nice if the NX8 was a 34mm but then it’d probably be too close to the ATACR to make sense.

Given the narrative about how righteous this war is, a war of "good vs evil" and "democracy vs authoritarianism", I'm surprised how many draft dodgers there are in Ukraine, and how they have to resort to some very unsavory tactics to forcefully conscript men.

The Prosecutor tricked her attorney into admitting evidence that had been excluded. It was fairly bad. It dismantles her argument about wife swapping from what the news reported

That's interesting, since I know the .300BO powder drop definitely goes into the ID of the case mouth (I ordered an Armanov one IIRC, because I didn't want to pay for a complete conversion kit when all I needed was the drop tube and the plastic case feed adapter, since I already had the .223 conversion kit).

i begin to get that. way over my pay grade. some of his actions seem flighty and inconsistent. China is the enemy FS,not Russia. anything that pushes Russia closer to China is a big mistake-eg Ukraine. dealing with Chinese influence and corruption of our elites and pols is gonna be a big fight.
