I have both the G3 and he NX8 and as of three weeks ago have competed with both. (4 years with the G3, three stages with the NX8)

The g3 is a little easier to get behind, both “eye box” and eye relief.

The NX8 has better illumination and is lighter. I also like the FC DMX better than the Vortex MOA BDC but that’s not saying much.

I did get a little sucked into the scope with the NX8 on one stage last month and had to go back to a targets at 100 yards but I have very little time behind it. I run a top mount red dot on all of my scopes for square range shooting, or some 75-150 yard stuff that’s larger. Thinking half sized IPSC. Etc. This can mitigate that to some degree.

I looked at three ATACRs before I bought the G3, and had the G3 for years, swapping between it and an NSN ACOG/RMR and then bought an NX8. None of these hold me back at my level.(not saying much) but the size and weight reduction of the NX8 is nice. It’s kind of like a ACOG on steroids. Would have been nice if the NX8 was a 34mm but then it’d probably be too close to the ATACR to make sense.

That's interesting, since I know the .300BO powder drop definitely goes into the ID of the case mouth (I ordered an Armanov one IIRC, because I didn't want to pay for a complete conversion kit when all I needed was the drop tube and the plastic case feed adapter, since I already had the .223 conversion kit).

i begin to get that. way over my pay grade. some of his actions seem flighty and inconsistent. China is the enemy FS,not Russia. anything that pushes Russia closer to China is a big mistake-eg Ukraine. dealing with Chinese influence and corruption of our elites and pols is gonna be a big fight.

No that is not a steadfast rule. I have never put anything lower than 1.5” on my large frame ARs and never an issue but I did try a 1.3” mount on an AR15 and had to push my face down hard to get down behind it and get a good sight picture. It was traded out swiftly to a 1.5”.

Also depending on the rifle if it has a full picatinny rail down the hand guard a 56mm scope like the EP-5 will also need more height to make sure it clears.

I don't prime on press either, but many people do and a good solution that's an add on would have probably been a worthwhile upgrade. Almost every other turret and single stage press on the market have some sort of factory supported priming capability.

I don't move my presses, but I know some do. I think the % that do move them around is VERY small.

@trophyhunter has done one for me a few years ago, and Fritz at Black Canyon Customs does them as well.

TBH, my 750 is on an autodrive, so I didn't really give it much consideration, once everything was running correctly and the bullets were sitting up straight.

Little too strong for most kites. Prism kites top out at 25mph.

Wouldn't want to anyway. My prism snapshot 1.4 (2 string foil stunt kite) gets moving super fast at 20+ even with its tail. Gets harder to control.
