Damn auto correct?
You're gonna have to mansplaine that to me.
You're welcome (happy to be the "asshole", with first hand experience BTW). We all know that multi-millionaires know EVERYTHING about rifles, and that nobody should EVER question them...I only asked for first hand experience, I worded it that way so I wouldn't get a bunch of , well,,,,,, watcha neeedta or watcha aughta, and ya shoulda BS. Other than one (there is always at least one) asshole, most of my discourse was somewhat helpful. It's not my rifle or my money, I actually suggested several different options. Why should I tell a multi millionaire or some asshole why or how he spends his money. His family has owned a 10,000 acre ranch in south Texas with huge Whitetails for a gazillion years. He respects my work and requested my help and I feel very honored that he did.
I am very thankful for all constructive comments and the people that provided them.
At this point I guess very few people have done this.
I put together a 6mm Creed w/ 16" barrel years ago and people were saying why not a ,243 or 6mm rem? I dropped a Mule deer @ 360 yds dead in its tracks a few years ago, along with many whitetails, prickly pears and varmints before and since.
You never know what you might find when you start messing with different loads and rifles.
Barrel was ordered before I even made the first post.
Once again Thank's to the people with constructive or related suggestions.
Uh, say what?Didnt have the stomach to price meat prices, did you. A decent steak is $20 or more. CoffeeEven decent dogfood is $2 p/lb. I just hear this afternoon gas in Cali is $6+ and a guy came in from Hawaii said it was $10. At least its a small island.
It could open up depending on the setup and how much crap is in the suppressor too. On my 300NM initially I had my Hybrid 45 on the rifle direct thread. Shot fine, no issues. Then I put the brake and Keymo mount on the can and the groupings went to shit. Put everything back to direct thread and it shot fine again. Have since abandoned using that suppressor for that caliber and now run a TBAC Gen 2 338 Ultra SR. I also recently had 300WM start to shoot a legit 5-6" group. Swapped scope, barrel, moved the barrel to another gun, still had the same issues. Had TBAC look it over, checked internally for any strikes, none to be found, they ran it on the lathe to check for run out and within specs. Had them clean it and was also doing a upgrade on another one of my suppressors. The cleaning fixed it. I'm thinking with the years and years of shooting the Ultra 9, the carbon built up enough to effect the harmonics to start effecting the accuracy of the rifle.I've seen poi shifts sure but not group size increasing at all with my personal setups and I have 20 something barrels with mounts on them. Had a buddy who seen his groups increase in size with a yhm mount system. 1-1.5moa to around 3moa.
I'd say the can/mount is loose or the bullets are just grazing the end cap.
First time I went there was mid 90s, had to call ahead to reserve a baked potatoe.Ranchman's Ponder Steakhouse in Ponder, Texas (north of Dallas.) BYOB. Call ahead to reserve your baked potato. Not kidding. Also, see the pics of celebrities on the wall who have made a special trip to this restaurant when they are in the area.
You underestimate the size of Texas. That’s in Amarillo, a solid 5+ hr one way drive. If you want to venture a bit west…
Cadillac Ranch and the Big Texan Steak House are both epic!!!
Sirhr
I just set up an alert on Guns International for the rifle. They show up every few months, usually at not too crazy of prices because most folks don't want them. Just crazy that RIA never sold a 9mm version.Do you have a source for the guns? I haven't seen them for a while
It actually did. He knew exactly how the war would end. With Japan getting butt fucked. He warned them and they said attack anyway. He was a very good loyal sailor and died.Yeah, did wonders for Yamamoto…
