Barrel Extension Replication

I’m not a machinist but isn’t there a way to scan and copy items?
Really wish a 762 bolt was easier to come by.

3D scanning tech has limitations and unless you have a half million dollar or more machine you’re not getting all that accurate of results. Additionally you only get the measurements of what the parts you measure. Depending on sample size that leaves questions to tolerance ranges to machine a new part to. Granted educated assumptions of tolerance ranges can be made on the information grained.

To be clear, reverse engineering it is 100% doable, there are just hurdles to overcome from a design and machining perspective as well as ensuring you’re not gonna get sued. If you’re doing it for yourself, it’s 100% legal. Once you start making for others there are legal questions that need to be answered first.

There’s more rails and mags too, I didn’t start copy and pasting until I was like 12 pages in. Lots of barreled actions too, saw an M24 barreled action. There’s internal archive guns and prototype/test guns too.

House Budget Proposal to remove Tax on Suppressors but not remove it from the NFA

The Senate did vote to send it to the House. Now let's see what happens over there in the other chamber.
I mean that’s great and all but I don’t consider this a win. I think for most people the $200 tax wasn’t an issue. I also curious what happens now when one buys an NFA item. Are we still going to get a stamp? Either way I feel like getting these items off the NFA altogether is what’s needed. Again, the tax for most people isn’t the issue. But maybe, just maybe this is some kind of strategy. If it’s no longer taxed, can it justifiable live under the NFA or will the USSC then come back somehow and call this an infringement?
