Firearms SAC 260 PRS Rifle, #700 Lapua brass, Type S Match F/L die set, MagnetoSpeed V3, All for $,3,500.00 shipped!

Long shot, but if you want to sell the barreled action let me know.
That would make it more difficult for selling it…. But I’ll take it into consideration.

There’s a lot of money tied up into the stock, having the barreled action fully bedded, $325, the surgeon rifles bottom metal that’s another $275, custom paint job $175. It adds up quick.

If someone on here is interested in the Manners stock please let me know.

Thanks

Bergara bxr 10/22 compatibility?

Looking to build a semi auto for the new Nrl22 class. Ideally looking for threaded receiver. Mos is no longer being made. Grey birch is no longer available with a new proprietary inlet on the way for their chassis.

Considering bergara bxr but curious how 10/22 compatible it is. Barrel wouldn’t be since threaded but fine as I am going to have a custom barrel threaded and chambered.

More concerned on inlet, trigger and bolt.

Thanks for any insight.

Shooting on BLM Land/National Forrest - Wa State

Yeah I’m going to be in Whidbey so a decent drive, hoping to see if I can’t find something in the MT Baker National forest area
You will get a lot further and faster if you immerse yourself in groups of local shooters. They already know everything you don’t about the area. If you pass the on-boarding process it’s a go. If not, it will take years.

Parker Hale M-85 Build

I built two M85 rifles from cast receivers (and still have two more receivers), one for my oldest son and one for me. They are both chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor. If doing it now, I think I would go with a 6mm Creedmoor.

Going to disagree about the scope mounts. I took steel picatinny rails, cut them to the length of the receiver then machined down the part of sides so it would fit between the ears on the receiver. I machined the bottom of the rail so would give a 20 MOA elevation. While doing this I left a tab on the bottom of the rail that shoulders against the recess in the receiver to help secure the base from moving under recoil. I then drilled and tapped the receiver to screw the base down.

Doing this lets us use any scope ring we want for height and tube diameter. While not original to the M85, it fits our needs very well. Of course it does mean drilling and tapping the receiver but this was OK for us.

I agree on the trigger, they are great. Able to adjust down to about 2 lbs and with the trigger shoe, it behaves as a two stage trigger.

Rifle Scopes Deciding on deer rifle optic

The LHT 4.5-22 is the least bang for the buck scope I've come across so it's on a rifle I rarely use.

The Athlon Ares BTR G3 2.5-15×50 is the best I've come across for the price as far as hunting goes. If this had daylight bright illume I'd rate it as good enough that I'd put the thought out of my mind of buying any other scope for my use case regardless of price.

I got tired of spending thousands more for very small differences, or even compromised optically, and I have/ had/ or been behind, that my money is better spent elsewhere into other places than rifle scopes.

That could change if a scope comes out that fits my criteria almost perfectly but none so far yet.

Also I'm picky so why bother spending $4000 unless it has my required attributes.

Bezos Nuptials.

The funny thing is that his first wife (who is worth plenty now) was actually really good looking. Great all-American looking lady.

He dumped her for a Kardashian wanna-be with more bolt-on plastic than a tuner car in Chinatown and ersatz lips straight off a carp.

Sirhr
To be fair, a first wife’s beauty is irrelevant when she decides decent sex is over. The one chasing billion$ will try a lot harder. Marrying her is ridiculous though. Just proves $$ doesn’t fix stupid.

Best offset mount and red dot combo for AR?

For rifles that have diving boards (cause I might run my WMLRF on them) I run Arisaka offsets with an Aimpoint Acro. If the rifle isn't setup for a WMLRF then I run an Acro at 12:00 since it's easier to get behind under nods. As a few others have said, having an enclosed red dot is nice if/when you're out in shitty weather.

That's what we have in the camper. Makes good coffee! There are a couple (that I'm aware of) drip machines that don't use plastic that contacts the water. Moccamaster & Simply Good Coffee.
Dripolator is all stainless steel with bakelite handles. Put ground coffee in the basket cover then add hot water and you have a pot of drip coffee no grounds or paper filters.
