Firearms Tac Ops KM-Ops 51's Qty 2

Don’t let him fool you, Mike. She’s the only one that actually shoots!

It pains me to report that @GunGasm has moved on from custom rifles, and is now working through an unhealthy obsession with custom cowboy boots.

adjustable gas block

I like the SLR "linear" adjustments. For me, the adjustments are far easier to tune.

I will second what TonyAngel said about maintenance, however, all mine have been set and forget. IE, the various ones I have , are happy at 6 clicks open from closed ( of 15 clicks to wdie open available ) .

FWIW... 5 clicks open worked, and 1 additional click open for good measure. On 22" RLGS 6.5 CM's and 18" MLGS 308's . Heavy buffer setups and Tubbs flatwire 308 recoil springs.

And I haven't felt the need to adjust them since.

Make sure you have ample handguard clearance....

SLR "9" dimensions....

Maggie’s Motivational Pic Thread v2.0 - - New Rules - See Post #1

Wow... Hells Angels MC biker in heavy snow of Anchorage, Alaska handling the highways like a pro. Captured by a random motorist's dashcam. Yes he had a third wheel for this type of weather but it would still require considerable skill and experience to ride safely under these conditions. That is dedication.

Was just on the way to tell people they were up. Got mine! Thank You

Does anyone else get frustrated reloading

Maybe I'm totally OCD, but it seems like I screw the pooch all the time on reloading. Can't quite get my shoulder bump right. Load too long, get pressure signs, just generally always fucking up (stoopid locking rings from the other night).

I'll watch videos and people get their .002 bump and I've never gotten that, and I can't even keep it consistent for some reason. I set it and then some are okay, some are not.

My 6GT is so damn short that even at 2.500 is was jammed into the lands and causing pressure spikes with 33.5 Grains of varget.

Maybe I'm just bitching out loud after a hard week in the reloading room, but it seems like I'm the only one who ever screws up. Example: ruined a perfectly good piece of brass by accidently smacking it off center into a mandrel.

Anyone else feel that or is everyone a smooth reloader and I should take up knitting?

We made this too complicated. Now we're trying to bump brass so that it has a perfect fit to the chamber, blah blah. The first sub-moa loads I made were in new brass I only chamfered and then just used a FL RCBS die to size after firing. I had no idea what the shoulder bump was. And you can say that it's to save brass life, but look at the other costs.

You have guys who are buying new brass, loading it, "fire forming" it, and then obsessing over the shoulder bump. Using these is extensive as I will get: https://www.midwayusa.com/product/101253343

You setup the die, you size with one shell holder and try chambering it, and change to another size if needed. I usually remove all "crush" feel. Am I killing brass life? Maybe, but I'm not obsessing over it.

Before the economy got real bad and I was able to find some Berger ammo for $1-ish a round, with a .40 cent bullet and a Lapua case, it became hard to use up time reloading.

Ukraine war Bullshit.

Sounds like abandonment of your homies lives for profit to me.
Whatever it takes to keep the graft flowing on both sides of the pond.

I would think that more ukes are going to learn to speak Russian willingly or not.

If my government turned thier back on me (to that extent) I would probably chose to replace it.

Oh, my bad. That's what started this in the first damn place.

Putin would have probably stopped with the Russian speaking oblasts and called it a win for him and "his" people. I would bet on it.

But no it was "operation stuff my offshore bank account " from the onset.

Sad that I don't see my "arch enemy" the commie basterds as the bad guys in all this. Maybe the Russian cyops team has spiked my coffe.

It seems our efforts would be better spent in Mexico and South America killing cartels weather thier crooked ass governments like it or not. Maybe thier people would go back home where they belong on thier own.

We have more important battles to fight on our own continent than any other place on the planet.

Why are you ignoring the fact that they blyatzkreiged unsuccesfully straight for the capital day one and would've pushed across the entire country of they weren't militarily incompetent?

The Shot You’ll Never Forget Giveaway - Enter To Win A Barrel From Rifle Barrel Blanks!

I'm gonna say my most "memorable" is the earliest shooting, because it was my entry into the sport. Having come from a family of hunters extending back to the 1700's of Virginia, to Kentucky, and then to New Orleans ("Sportsman's Paradise" state), I was given a Crossman 740 BB/pellet gun when I was about 12 or 13. We had just moved to rural Pennsylvania in the Fox Chapel region, and my neighbor friend also had the same gun. Being competitive young men, we set to competing with those old wooden stocked airguns, which were terrific for a young teen.

He had a big apple tree out in his backyard, and we got good enough that the competition involved shooting, not the apples, but the stems of the apples, with the winner downing an apple first, like some combination of Daniel Boone and William Tell in our imaginations. That was great fun, and one of the consequences of honing our stem shooting was of course occasionally hitting the apple itself.

The sweetness of the pierced apple drew the attention of hornets, as I recall. These hornets would dig into the bb hole to forage for food with some reliability. Boys being boys, we hated hornets with a passion, and the only good hornet was a dead hornet in our minds. Very un-Christian frame of mind, perhaps, but those were the facts. So naturally, the competition then evolved to striking the butt's of those hornets as they dug into the apples. Their butt was about the size of a BB, so it was a perfect target. And we became quite the proficient hornet hunters.

Those days still stick in my mind as quite the bucolic upbringing that I enjoyed thanks to my Dad's thoughtfulness for us.

As a an epilogue to that story, when I later went to summer camp in Maine, at Camp Belgrade I believe, they had quite the junior NRA marksmen program. I started from the bottom of the medaling, and gradually worked my way up to Distinguished Expert, shooting their Anschutz 22's with iron sights. No one had ever done that in one summer, at that camp at least, and I was only about 14 at the time. So they decided I would be good to pair up with an older camper in a two man team for the national summer camp competition. The older kid was probably 17 or so, so much more mature and qualified to compete, though I never did meet him. Separately, we shot prone, kneel, and standing, and I was super obsessive about pulling the trigger at the correct time, with nothing less than perfection as my ambition. At the end of the summer, those targets were sent into the national office where they compiled all the results.

I soon forgot about the competition altogether as we had an abrupt change of living conditions, with my Dad getting divorced and us moving to Chicago. Years later, my Dad said one day, sort of nonchalantly, that the owner of the camp had written him and told him we had in fact won the national completion in that two man team class. I was quite shocked. So there's another memory that "stemmed" from my earlier hornet safari's.

Ukraine war Bullshit.

i don't know if Trump realizes it or ever will. but,he is now in a situation very like the one Putin was in in '14-'22. we have an open military attack on the country both internally and externally driven. encouraged and abetted by both foreign and domestic elements. plus,a lot of bad assed, threatening talk coming from Mexican gov.
i fear I doubt that the response will be at the required level. and that dbl sucks because we have started so many unnecessary foreign wars in the last 100 years that when one is obviously necessary and the threat is right here, right now it won't happen. hard to say if the citizenry at large will do what is needed. considering the treason and corruption at all levels here,i would expect the gov to resist any grass roots response by "the militia" to be fought by the gov that needs the help but will fight any effort by the people to handle things. the whole people need to become Korean and find a roof.
truth is we have been at war inside our borders for 5 years. i wonder when that realization will occur to anyone witha stake in our society.
BTW,do you now not see how Hitler was able and allowed to come to power and hugely popular for about 8 of his 10 years run?
