Rifle Scopes PRS/NRL22 scopes

Hello guys need ur help as I’m new to the game. So I’m noticing that the 22lr rifles I use with high power scopes 6-24 or 5-25 even 6-35 seem to do better than mid power scopes. A friend gave me a 1/8 moa 3-15x50 ffp scope that goes down to 15 yards. Anyways I really struggled when I’m doing adjustment from 50-200yards that I just used the hold over reticle marks. What is this scope supposed to be used for? Hunting? Also since the reticle is faint I crank up the magnification to 12x but it’s still hard to see the tiny dot in the reticle. If I’m just shooting 50 yards only I have no issues at all. Should I buy a high power scope for this rifle like my other 22s? This is a tikka t1x with 16inch barrel. Again it’s bullet on bullet at 50 yards and at 100 yards I have to do so many clicks up and waste so much ammo to resight the scope. What are ur thoughts?

Maggie’s And Then There Were None

At our monthly Liars Club breakfast (as I call it) this morning I had the privilege of meeting a local survivor of the Battle of the Bulge. A member who’s a friend of his brought him along and introduced him. He didn’t talk about it and we didn’t ask. Although my buddy whispered to me that he was highly decorated and still carries shrapnel in his legs.
During the meal and chatter I couldn’t help but to sneak a look at him and the deep lines in that tough weathered face that gave a smile every time he looked up at someone. I tried to imagine what he has seen and knows about war and fighting. As we broke up I went over to meet him and thank him and was pleasantly surprised at the strength of his grip as we shook hands.
As I was driving home I realized that all of my friends and family and everyone I knew who served in WWII are gone and just how special this morning was.

Accessories HACKED: McMillan A4/M40A5 Chassis, Vortex Optics IMPACT® 4000

ATTENTION ALL:

My account on the Hide was hacked a couple of months ago and I had no idea because I was overseas and not checking in on it. I finally have regained control of my account with the help of Lowlight and his IT team. Many thanks to toygunner as well for bringing the whole issue to my attention.

To prevent this from happening to you, I highly recommend that you use very strong/complex passwords and change them out frequently. Mine was fairly strong but evidently not robust enough to withstand a blitz attack that allowed the hacker access to my account so he could create false sale listings and take advantage of the trust of others during his fraudulent transactions because of my 100% feedback rating.

Many apologies for all this. I will be listing some new items in the near future and will verify my identity with any and all members who are interested in doing business with me so that they can do so with confidence.

In the meantime, feel free to contact me via PM with any questions and/or reach out to Lowliight to confirm my account of what occurred if needed.

All the Best - S/F

Precision Rifle Gear Wind Flag on Spotting Tripod

I'd Like to have a wind flag on my spotting tripod for next year's PRS matches. I'm looking for ideas on how to mount one to the tripod and make it easy to get on and off. I'm not a fan of having a big plate or platform to mount a bunch of stuff to, like a tac table. Post a picture of your wind flag setup if you have one.
How is the "stick" connected to the mounting base?
how is the base connected to the tripod/spotter.
Does having this wind flag add a shake or vibration into the spotter when the wind blows?
Is it easy to put up or take down?
Does it store in you match pack well?.

Salt water hot tub

So….entering into my pre-geeper years (62), and looking to rest / massage these tired muscles. Scoping out a hot tub. I can’t find a legit answer on salt water tub vs conventional. Those who sell salt water say they are THE shit. Those who sell conventional say salt water tubs ARE shit. Anyone here have any experience with either. Looking at Caldera and Cal spas. 2-3 person. No sex parties with the neighbors in a 6 person…..just me and the Mrs.
