SOLD ZEV Technologies Custom 3 Gun Rifle with Proof Barrel

Up for sale is a like-new custom 3 Gun rifle built by ZEV Technologies with the following: a Proof .223 Wylde Barrel (18 inch length), ZEV adjustable gas block, American Precision Arms Gen 3 Self Timing Muzzle Brake, Magpul PRS Lite Stock, and Geissele Super Dynamic 3 Gun (SD-3G) Trigger.
ZEV put this rig together for me to compete in 3 Gun matches and Mammoth Sniper Challenges, but I never used it for either because of my rather hectic deployment schedule the past few years. The rifle has only 50 rounds on the barrel from an initial zeroing/load development session during which it shot ½ MOA with my handloads and has sat in my safe since.

The total original retail cost of this build was over $3300 (cost of items, shipping, taxes, etc.). I'm letting it go for $2400 shipped to your FFL.

PayPal Friends & Family is preferred for payment to avoid fees on my end. If you want to use traditional PayPal, you'll have to cover all transaction fees (+3%). I’ll also accept cash and Venmo (no fees) during a face-to-face deal if you live near Raleigh, NC.

Feel free to PM me with any questions/requests for additional photos you might have.

Thanks for checking out my listing and have a good one! S/F!

Borka Tools is pleased to present our new, 2020 model of adjustable torque driver, aka "Borka Torque Driver" (BTD) and a wide variety of BTD based kits in expanded, combo and customer specified configurations.

Such arrangement lets GB participants to donate 7.5% of their money (received by Borka Tools) to Snipers Hide. I believe it is one of the practical ways to support Snipers Hide, which all of us like to use so much.

Estimated USPS domestic shipping charges are $9-$15, depending upon the size of your order.

Additional information:

2020 Borka Torque Driver (BTD) design is different from our 2015 adjustable torque driver (ATD) design. Instead of "break-over" torque tool design concept of ATD and our original MTD (Multi Torque driver), BTD utilizes our new very unique design (patent pending), which provides better ergonomics, accuracy and consistency of BTD in comparison to ATD. Method of torque adjustment remains the same and there are barely any weight and dimensional differences between BTD and ATD. The main design difference is that BTD has no pivoting handle. BTD utilizes short stroke crossbar, which, when desired torque value is reached, slides 1/8" in the direction of torque application and generates an easily detectable sound "click". When torque tool "clicks", it is very certain that torque tool performed just one complete cycle of torque application. When torque tool "slips" without generating any "click", it is a very different story.

Another change, related to BTD, is the implementation of the highly practical and very easy to use torque adjustment range from 10 inch-lbs. to 70 inch-lbs. And if there is a need for torque application of less than 10 inch-lbs. or more than 70 inch-lbs., BTD kit can include Borka Tools PTL (Precision Torque Limiter), for example PTL0004 (4 inch-lbs.) for NF ZeroStop turret screws or PTL0100 (100 inch-lbs.) for some of the NF scope mounts crossbolts, or even both of these PTLs. PTL0080 (80 inch-lbs.) for DT SRS/HTI/MDR barrel changes and PTL0090 (90 inch-lbs.) for ARC Barloc are also available. As the result, you always have an option to configure your Borka Combo Kit (BCK) so that it will work for many different applications. When PTL is integrated into BCK, it will cost less in comparison to the same PTL, purchased as a separate item.

Borka Torque Driver (BTD) and Cleaning Rods (ECR and MCR) are made in the U.S.A. by Borka Tools and Pro-Shot Products. Accessories, such as bits sets, sockets, extensions, ratchets and Maxpedition pouches are custom made in Taiwan. All our kits, without exception, are assembled and quality controlled in the U.S.A.

FYI, Maxpedition pouch, which we use for BTD kits, is a very slightly modified Maxpedition E.D.C. Pocket Organizer (manufacturer item # 0246), and it is readily available for purchase from many online retailers. This pouch is suitable for packaging of currently available and future combo and custom kits. Our custom TAB GEAR pouch is more compact and works well for selected kits having mostly fixed configurations.

Take note that our latest BTD design is fully expected to remain the same for the next 15+ years.

280 remington 175eldx

Anyone shooting the 175eldx in their 280 or 280ai? Is your 280 throated for bullets this long or are you jamming them way down in the case? I have a few loaded to run over the chronograph. I am shooting them at the charge weight I settled for 185rdfs with 4000mr just to get an idea of velocity. The ones I loaded are with 4000mr but I will be working up with h4831sc or/and 7977 also. I guess I have rl26 also I could try. Mine is throated pretty well for 162s, not so much for really long 7mm bullets but I hate to mess with it because it shoots really well with basically everything I put in it. 139-185 so far, but I am sure I am giving up some velocity with the heavey bullets.

Need it for my ballistic data on my new thermal, I currently don’t have access to a chronograph. I plan on getting one after the new year sometime but would like this info to get started. MicroBest Chrome BCG - Pictures and Comparison

This is only pictures and a comparison. There are tons of durability reviews if you do a search.

MicroBest is the OEM for many big name manufacturers. BCM, SOLGW, etc. They offer a bunch of configurations in a handful of finishes. This is the all chrome, C158 variant. It also comes in Phosphate and Nitride. The chrome option is available with different material extractors and gas keys as well as unique fasteners and Sprinco springs. These carriers run anywhere from $90 in phosphate up to $165+ in chrome with different options.

This is the base MicroBest chrome finish with C158 bolt BCG and I planned on installing Sprinco extractor spring and gas rings. When I took it apart I found a 5 coil CS spring and heavy gas rings. I believe they are Sprinco but the BCG was not listed as containing such and I can't prove they are Sprinco. I did not change them as a result. I paid $118 shipped to my door.

I have a Brownells chrome BCG that I purchased last year. I do not believe it is made by MicroBest. It was listed as having a 9310 bolt. The markings are lasered instead of engraved like MicroBest. The original extractor spring and rings were pretty soft so I changed them to Sprinco. I paid $90 for the Brownells BCG, they are now listed for $120. I would choose the MicroBest over the Brownells but there is nothing wrong with the Brownells and will continue using it. The Brownells BCG has maybe 150 rounds on it.

The last picture is a bolt face comparison of the Brownells BCG, MicroBest BCG, and a no-name BCG I bought for $40 five or six years ago. The no-name part is likely Chinese; it is out of spec in every way possible. You can see how bad it is with the naked eye looking at the lugs alone.

I believe the MicroBest branded BCGs to be the best value options on the market today. I have been using their phosphate BCG's for many years. The chrome options are the sweet spot for quality, finish, and value. Everything you need, nothing you don't. If you do a web search for "chrome microbest bcg" you get tons of options at very good prices. I hope this helps.

I can't insert pictures, only add them. The MicroBest is all chrome and new, the Brownells has phosphate fasteners and is used.
