SOLD Bergara B14R barrels

Selling a couple B14R barrels.

1. Factory 18" B14R barrel. Maybe 200 rounds fired. Only pulled to put on a heavy barrel. It's factory threaded with a thread protector.

2. Green Mountain 18" B14R barrel. Contour goes from 1.2 at the shoulder to 1.062 at the muzzle. Turned and chambered by me. I pulled this one to put on a longer one so it weighs and balances like my centerfire match rifle. It shot sub MOA at 50 yds with SK Rifle Match. Maybe 500-600 rounds on this one. I can blast it and laser it if you want. It's just bare right now.

Green Mountain sold.

75 shipped for the factory barrel. SPF.

Venmo gift or zelle. No PayPal. My account is frozen.

No trades.

I put this rig together for competing in PRS and teaching courses, but never used it for either. The barrel and action are BRAND NEW and have no rounds through them at all. The rifle has sat in my gun safe for the last 2 years and as such, everything with it is in new/excellent condition. I'm selling it raise funds for another project.

The total original retail cost of this complete turn-key build was over $4400 (original cost of items, shipping, taxes, etc.).

I'm letting it go for $3750 shipped to your FFL, saving you cash and all the waiting that you would have to endure when it comes to the lengthy lead times from Manners, Terminus, etc.

Wanting to build an MRGG-A "clone"

Some may hate me for this, but I'm looking to do an MRGG-A "clone" with Aero's recently released anodized purple set - it seems 14.5" 6.5CM is the go to setup.

1704341367547.png

However, it seems some manufacturers have 308 variants such as Larue, and SWORD as an example (MRGG-S) https://swordfirearms.com/product/mrgg-s-factory-refurbish/

1) I was under the impression that the requirements were for 6.5CM - so I assume other these were one offs for testing, or just 308 is more available? Or am I missing something here.
2) What are some things to be aware of to try to hit that weight requirement ( or be close to it )
3) Would going for a 14.5 6.5CM be worth it, or am I better off just doing a 16" 308? Not planning on anything beyond 1000

Montana ATV laws

I'm headed to Montana for a hunting trip next week and was thinking of bringing an ATV along. We will have only one truck, and I know from past experience in Wyoming that some of the less-improved public roads can get pretty treacherous if a little moisture falls. Prairie gumbo. So my thought was to have the ATV on hand to help us get to the intended hunting grounds in those situations without risking a stuck pickup.

I'm confused about the ATV rules that I've found. I've found that I can drive the ATV on roads in BLM land. But does my ATV need a mirror and horn to run on public gravel roads outside of BLM? Or are the "street legal" requirements only for those who wish to run their OHV's on pavment? What about roads on state land, is the ATV(or the truck for that matter) allowed on those?

Am I missing anything about what the rules for ATVs are in Montana? I want to follow the rules, but so far am a little confused.

Help choosing optics for 300BLK

Which optic for 300BLK SBR?

  • Aimpoint T2

    Votes: 4 50.0%
  • Eotech EXPS3-0

    Votes: 4 50.0%

After picking up the new HK MR556 and switching some optics around on 3 different builds I’ve now put an ATACR 1-8 on the HK, taken a T2 off my LMT 10.5” 300BLK build and thrown that on my SR15. I plan to add the 3x magnifier with the T2 on the SR15.

So now I’m left with irons on the 300blk. Since I’m a fan of the T2 and this rifle with be shot mostly suppressed and 100 yards or less I debated if I should get another T2 for this OR an eotech exps3. I don’t think I’d get the eotech 300blk optic because this build is the LMT MRP line so I plan to swap barrels back and forth. What do you guys think?

FYI you can consider the 300blk a truck/closet gun as well when not in use. Thanks.

Issues connecting Garmin Tactix 7 Pro Ballistics to AB Quantum

Is anyone having connectivity issues between the Tactix 7 Pro Ballistics watch and the Applied Ballistics Quantum App?

My watch connects to my phone just fine, and I use it with Garmin Connect on a daily basis. The AB Quantum App also seems to be working okay, as it's detecting one of my coworker's range finders as "available". But, no matter how long I wait it doesn't seem to find the Tactix watch as an available device. This is a watch that comes preloaded with the Applied Ballistics app, and in the past I know I used the watch with the Synapse app (which now says it isn't supported, and crashes any time I try to open it).

Any help would be appreciated! I've also e-mailed Applied Ballistics, but haven't heard back from them yet.

White oak barrel vs ?

Like a lot of people right now I'm using the extra downtime to assemble a new upper for one of my ARs. Wanting to do a spr"ish" build.
Going with aero upper and 15" handguard. Basically just needing a little guidance on the barrel.

Looks like lots of folks on the hide recommend white oak armory for one of their barrels. Brownells appear to have a 18" rifle length in stock. I'm thinking that would be a solid choice.

However I'm wondering if I would be getting a better/more accurate barrel from a gunsmith like keystone. I think they use green mountain for their blanks.

I'm pretty much made up my mind on a Wylde chamber. I do reload, but I want to have the ability to grab off the shelf ammo if I need to.

So question is for my purposes (target shooting, paper steel etc) would I be able to get a more accurate barrel from a custom Smith such as keystones? Or would a barrel like white oak pretty much be the same.
