Selling my Barrett MRAD 33XC barrel that I used for about 3 months of the ELR season last year. Selling due to having built a new ELR rifle and no longer using this barrel. It has 307 rounds through it, 75% of which were loaded with H1000 (the others were N565 and H50) so the throat is still in good shape. All gunsmithing done by Southern Precision Rifles/Bugholes. It does NOT come with a barrel makers kit, one will be needed in order to use in an MRAD.

Specs are:

-29” 9T Bartlein heavy taper (0.925” at muzzle) threaded 3/4 at the muzzle.

Also included is 178 pcs of Tubb 33XC brass.
-73 pcs of 1x fired, cleaned, annealed, sized, chamfered and de burred
-105 pcs of 2x fired un-processed (I can wet tumble if desired)

Crossfire Red Dot, perfect condition, comes with the stock riser mount and the low mount, also has an aftermarket hard rubber cover on it. The glass and optic are in perfect condition, the only blemish is a scratch on one of the bottom corners of the riser mount. SOLD




Venom Red Dot, very lightly used, in almost perfect condition. Has what appears to be a very slight scratch on the front lens, wasn’t able to get it to appear in the picture, but it’s not noticiable when looking through the dot from the back and I can’t see it affecting use in any way. Comes with stock picatinny mount. SOLD

I love ruger bolt actions, they are built like tanks (their rifles and pistols, center and rimfire) plus they have a great look in my opinion.

however, with my experience with their centerfires, i could never get one to shoot close to an impressive or "acceptable" group at 100 yards, no matter what the load or caliber. i don't know if the 77/22 follows in their big brother's footsteps.

I'm wanting to build another silhouette hunting class rifle for next season, it's either going to be a CZ455 or i was contemplating a ruger 77/22 this morning.

would anyone like to share (if they have any) their 50 and 100 yard group pictures from a non accurized / tacticooled 77/22 sproter type barreled rifle?
