This would also make a nice hunting rifle that could take just about any game in North America, but would probably make a better safe queen in its high condition and given that only 3,000 were made. Does this seem weird to you?

Hey guys, looking at specs on a few scopes and I'm noticing some things that seem out of place. Keep in mind I'm a novice at this so maybe there's a perfect explanation. Or maybe the specs are listed wrong? I don't know. What do you think?

GPO Centuri
3-18x44i 23.3 oz, 13.3", 90" of elevation, 30mm tube
2.5-15x50i 22.7 oz, 14.7", 110" of elevation, 30mm tube

Doesn't it seem wrong that the 3-18 would be over an inch shorter and only a half an ounce lighter? The strangest thing to me is why it would be so much shorter? Also, with the same tube diameter, why would the internal elevation be so different?

Accessories Really Right stuff- SC-ARC Bipod Clamp

The clamp is brand new. It will do picatinny or arca with there rlok system. The dial that you adjust got scratched but they are sending me a new one so they won't be an issue. I bought it but didn't fit on the new accutac lp50 bipod I bought. I can add a bipod to the deal if your looking for a package deal.

They wouldn't take it back so since I can't use it I need to sale it.

$160 shipped save $15 on it with free shipping.

SOLD Rock Island “2011” Tac Ultra FS HC - Big price drop 1/17!

This is rock islands 2011 in 9mm. I got it because I couldn’t believe I could own a 2011 under $1000 but this was it. It has never given me any issues and shoots nice, accurate, and is affordable! I went back to a striker fire for my match gun (I know, weird), so this one is up for grabs. Someone will love this gun. Shot 500 rounds max.

Comes with 4 mags and I think I have the factory box for it as well. Firm at $600 shipped.

Will ship FFL to FFL.

Pre-fit barrel alignment

So... over the years I've used, removed, installed, replaced a fair few 'pre-fit' barrels - almost all Savage barrel nut style, though. Along the way, via the school of hard knocks, I found out about the joys of barrels... not always pointing where you want them to - as in having to use up most of your windage or elevation (or both) to get the gun zeroed. *Especially* with factory nuts and lugs. Switching to quality aftermarket lugs - surface ground flat and parallel - and aftermarket barrel nuts, with the mating surface machined perpendicular to the axis of the threads, made a *huge* difference. Basically eliminated it, in my experience.

Fast forward to more recently... I've got a couple barrel-nut pre-fits - one a Proof CF, and the other a Shilen, both with aftermarket nuts - and an Origin action. And they both 'point' about 5-6 mils off to the left

I didn't really notice it at first, because the first scope (Bushnell XRSii 4.5-30x) I had on that gun with the first barrel (Proof CF 6.5CM) had a wider range of adjustment, so I never really bumped into the edge of the range of travel. The second barrel (NSS/Shilen 223 Rem) actually points a little less off to the side, so I didn't notice that one either, even when I changed the scope out for a Burris XTRiii 5.5-30x. But when I swapped back to the Proof barrel, I got it zeroed... but started having all kinds of problems with the scope not following the adjustments, or randomly changing POI.

After taking everything apart - barrel off, rail off, scopes out of the rings, etc. - and not finding anything loose, I put it back together with the Burris scope and Proof barrel. Since it'd been completely disassembled, I figured I'd stick the bore sighter on it, and holy $hit 🤬 I was about 3 clicks off the far left side of the windage travel. Swapped out the Burris for the Bushnell, and while it wasn't up against the edge of it's range, it was definitely way, way further over than I would like. Pulled the Proof barrel and put the Shilen back on. As mentioned earlier, it didn't point *quite* as far over, enough so that the Burris would actually work with it. Barely.

FWIW, both barrels have the nuts (red) loctite'd on, after setting the headspace with the appropriate gauges.

Unfortunately, I don't have a *shouldered* barrel handy for this action to test this out further. Might be able to borrow one from someone local.

I'm *pretty* sure the face of the receiver, the face of the nut(s), and both sides of the lug were as clean as I could get them. Not sure what else might be the culprit as far as pushing both barrels over that far. Or more specifically... I can think of a few things, but I'm really not liking the direction those thoughts are headed.

Curious what else folks here think might be the cause - or the solution.

SOLD FS: Defiance Classic LA Mag BF

FS: Brand new Defiance "Classic" Long action, Magnum Bolt face. This action weights sub 23 oz. Lighter than most SA's on the market. Has pinned rail and recoil lug. Bought for a build I never got around to and plans have changed. $850 shipped to your FFL Screenshot_20250208-085542.png

Rifle Scopes Meopta 2025. Big things comeing

With the New production, research and development Facility being built I am eager to see what shot show 2025 has in store. Of course the Meostar R series was released last year but I'm still not seeing it for sale on this side of the pond. Would love to have the 4-24x56imm personally.
Also have noticed a huge new line of optics called the Meoforce DF series for tactical/military application including three prism scopes, red dots, and five scopes that i can't even find pricing for. Visually the look like revamped meostar ZD and TAC scopes of which I own a ZD 4-16x44imm which is an INCREDIBLE optics for $1500 retail. Personally did not pay close to that haha. In the force DF line is a 5-30x56imm that is 100% new in terms of Specs and Visuals, being their most powerfull and heavy
Scope to date. Looks veeery appetizing.

If anyone has more "in the know" information i would love to hear about it.

Bartlein barrel from Craddock Precision, 16" 223 Wylde, quick review

I just received a Bartlein barrel from Craddock Precision. It's a 16" 1:7 twist, cut rifled 5R stainless steel mid-length. 750" GB. I don't have a good scale, but I think it's listed at 2.1 pounds.

I'm going to send this barrel off to have it converted by D Wilson to work with my LMT MRP, but I wanted to make sure it shot well first. I mocked it up today, my goodness, what an absolute hammer!

I just wanted to provide a quick review in case anyone is on the fence about spending $700 plus without reading a whole lot of reviews, I am beyond happy with this Barrel.

It's gassed perfectly for my needs, the gas port is around. 074". It also shoots lights out with everything I've tried, and I've done zero load development. I just shot a generic load of 77 SMK, 23.5 grains of IMR 8208 XBR. The first 10 round group I shot after a quick break-in with 20 rounds of cheap M855 was .82", and the first 8 rounds went into the .5"s. I'm not making excuses, but it was damn cold, gusty, and snow was blowing in my face. Velocity was 2,649 FPS with decent extreme spread and SD. I'd imagine as it breaks in I'll pick up some speed and it will be close to 2700.

Going to call this the "Unpopular Opinion" thread and I have some thoughts...

To start this thread off, I find that mayonnaise is by far the most vile of condiments to ever exist. It tastes like paste (aka glue) on a sandwich and has no place in our culture. So many dips & similar products use mayonnaise as a base ingredient and it completely overwhelms the flavor profile because even with all the spices that are thrown in, it still tastes like well spiced "glue".

And for some reason all of the fast food burger joints have incorporated mayo into their products and it's at best a 50/50 shot when you explicitly specify in your order to exclude the mayo that when you open up your bag that damned if you don't have a double helping of mayo on your burger. It's beyond infuriating.

Fight me on this.
