When attemptin to install an adjustable gas block last night I went to remove the screw from my original gas block and manage to snap the end of the hex bit in the set screw. The first set screw came out with no issue by the second one is stuck tight. I am looking for any suggestions on how to get the broke tip out of the set screw so that I can remove it. It was a Brownells magna tip hex bit if that makes a difference. I am going to call Brownells today to see about getting the bit replaced.

I have a mega arms billet ar15 receiver set that I will be building into a 6mm ARC with a 24" +2 barrel. I'm looking for see what handguards other people have used with the mega billet uppers. I'd definitely like to find at least a 15" maybe a 17" handguard to either come right up to the gas block or cover it. Bonus points if its a flat top but not required.

I picked up a Barrett and need to stick some glass on it. I will be shooting it suppressed.

My question:

Regardless of brand etc, I can't decide if I should go 5-25 or 7-35 on power. I've shot lots of rounds suppressed in other large calibers 1000+ yards, in most cases after a couple rounds the mirage makes using anything past 20x difficult.

I want the 7-35, but in my heart feel that the 5-25 is the correct answer. Looking for information to nudge me one way or another.

I bought a new Schmidt and Bender 5x25x56 in march I had it on mt 300 Norma Mag .I had what look to be water spots on the inside of the glass .I contacted Schmidt and Bender in Virginia .The service tech sent me a UPS label I sent it back.the first part of June.The scope was clear again no problems.I mounted the scope on my 6.5 creedmoor I started breaking the barrel in on my rifle.I had 100 rounds through the rifle.I was back to the range Friday morning I looked through the scope a big circle in the bottom right of the scope and a small one on the left side .I contacted Schmidt and Bender again in Virginia .The tech said Germany had changed the type of lube they are using in the scope.They started having problems with spatter on the glass.So now my scope is on its way back again.The tech said my scope was the second one he had seen with lithium grease spatter on the inside of the glass.So if you get a new scope and it has spatter on the glass call Schmidt and bender.

While we were there, we found a Ryobi bundle that included a small drill & driver combo as well as a small circular saw & a light for something like $150. They also had an accompanying bit set for... around $50 or so. So for under $200 we walked away with a nifty toolset for my wife. Comparatively we spent as much replacing the trash and recycling bins that the wind apparently swept away. All in all, not a bad pickup.
