Firearms K&P 32” 375 RUM barrel for TL3 SA w/ brass, dies, 390gr A-Tips $900

K&P 32” 1:8 twist 375 RUM barrel for TL3 short action. Muzzle threaded 3/4x20. 1.35” diameter shank for ~5.5” and then tapered to 1.1”. Has flats machined into the barrel for easy changing with switch barrel setup. Chambered by Michael DeLoach of 9 Run Gun. Weighs 8lbs 7oz. Also, comes with a custom tuner brake that was made for it.

You read that right. Poor man’s Cheytac. This is a 375 RUM barrel that I had cut for my TL3 short action to shoot ELR. If you are looking for the most affordable way to get into ELR, no question this is it. This barrel shoots the 390gr A-tip at ~ 2820fps w/ 105.3gr N570 into ~1/2 MOA (see pic below shot at 300 yards). Before I did this I called Zermatt and Ray said go for it, the action can handle it…so I did. Supersonic to 2450 yards at a DA of 5000ft…I got greedy and wanted even more out of it, and had it throated a little longer but it didn’t like it. SAMMI spec was fine, so I set the barrel back an inch (from 33” down to 32”) and now it has a fresh chamber in it that I’ve never even shot. I suspect it will be just like it was before…which was awesome.

Hornady Dies with micrometer seater.

74 pieces of Norma Brass. Started life as 300 RUM and necked up for 375 RUM as well as 50 pieces of new unfired ADG 375 RUM head stamped brass.

275 390gr A-tips.

Want to sell as a package. Will sell the A-Tips separately if someone buys the barrel etc.

$900/shipped for everything

Thanks,

Chase

POI Channge @100 Yards With a 'Similar' Load

On my 6.5CM I changed from shooting:
140 gr. berger @ 2690 fps (2250 ft-lbs) to 147 gr. ELD-M @2784 (2530 ft-lbs)

At 100 yards the 147 gr. load hits almost 1 moa higher than the 140 gr. load. Is the increased energy causing more recoil /muzzle flip resulting in the upward shift in POI? The 147 gr. load does have 12% more energy, but I am shooting a MPA rifle set up for PRS (heavy - w/ scope & bipod probably over 19 lbs.).

ARC or 419 rings-Kidd 10/22

Just looking for opinions before pulling out the debit card. After figuring out my ring height and deciding on rings over a 1 piece, I keep going back and forth between ARC and 419 rings. I've read pros and cons for each brand but for the most part they both have positive reviews and people seem to like them. I dont compete or really beat on my gear so these may be overkill for a .22 but I do like nice stuff. I like the simplicity of the one screw mount design of ARC and I also really like the mounting option on the 419 (bubble level) and I like the indexing pin built into them. Not a fan of the raw aluminum as I question oxidizing over time, but I also assume those guys know how to design their gear and would not have overlooked this if it truly were an issue.

Considering a 13.9” upper to go with my 18” 6.5 Grendel.. thoughts?

I recently built an 18” 6.5 Grendel with a NightForce NX8 2.5-20x
IMG_0798.jpeg
I went with the superlative arms piston system, but the BCG is tight in the upper so I may swap it over to DI with a superlative arms adjustable gas black and JP FMOS.
After researching the round more it really seems to be great at everything. So I’m thinking it may be cool to build a 13.9” SBR upper to have superior capabilities compared to my 300blk out and 14.5” AR and far less blast and recoil than my 13” SCAR 17. If I do that it makes total sense to swap the superlative piston to the SBR and I would use a VLTOR MUR upper since the BCG fits perfectly in that upper (my 14.5” AR setup). What I’m really wanting input on is… optic arrangement. While I’d have the 18” upper for long range, the 13.9” should be very capable out to distance. So I was thinking of trying the Steiner T6XI 2.5-15x with an RMR mounted on top. I’ve never used a top mounted or offset RMR, but I’m sure I can train to become accustomed to it. I thought this set up would make more sense than another LPVO. I’ve got a Trijicon Credo 1-6x on my 14.5” AR and a Trijicon Credo HX 1-8x on my SBR SCAR 17. Thoughts?
Use would be run and gun and up to whatever distance the rifle is capable. I’m thinking of trying the Lehigh 110 grain copper solids and the 110 grain controlled chaos.

Dandy trickler controller for TRX-925 scale

So for those of you that have purchased or thought about purchasing the Creedmoor TRX-925 scale and wanted to add a powder trickler here is what I found. I was on Accurate Shooter website and found someone was building a controller for the Dandy power trickler that would work with the TRX-925. I took the plunge and ended up buying the 2 speed Dandy and the controller. The price for both was well below other scale/trickler combinations. Combining the two was a simple matter drilling a small hole the the Dandy control box and soldering two wires. The controller has many settings that allow you to create different powder profiles.

It may not be as slick or fast as the higher priced combinations but it does offer an alternative for those of us with smaller budgets. It's my understanding that "itchyTF" who built the controller has three more available if this interests you.
