Criterion 223 Remington match chamber

Looking at a criterion prefit shouldered barrel for a Zermatt action chambered in 223 Remington match with a 1:7 twist. It will be fed from mdt .223 aics mags. My question is will this chamber shoot 69gr/
77gr SMK loaded at 2.26” just fine with the .090” freebore? I also intend to shoot heavier reloads which is why I am leaning towards the match chamber vs the Wylde. Anyone have experience with this?

Suppressor questions with PTR Vent 1

So I'm a noobie...I'm looking at the PTR Vent 1 762 suppressor. It comes as a direct thread to the barrel. I called PTR and they said I could use a muzzle break setup as long as it doesn't protrude into the suppressor more then 1.5 inches. So I'm looking for advice on which muzzle break to use. Also. I wanna switch the suppressor from my pof 556 to my pof 308. They both have different threading. How/ can I do this? Please help lol
Thanks
Ed

New from NV

Hey folks, joined a few months ago but I've been lurking more on Rokslide for the hunting info. Figured I should introduced myself. Newbie from NV. Got into shooting just about a year ago with a 44 mag Henry X and things have escalated to say the least. Too many other pew pews have joined the safe alongside a couple suppressors, a decent reloading setup for all the calibers, and getting ready for my first hunting season (mule deer) in October. I've learned a ton in the past year, and I'm here to soak up more. Glad to be here!

Accessories 6br shouldered prefit barrel for tikka.

Brand new. 24” 1:7 twist rate 1.200” diameter barrel threaded 5/8x24” at the muzzle. Weighs right at 7lbs. Outlier stainless blank that was chambered by Fischer t&c. Specs are in pictures. $600 shipped priority mail. Venmo preferred, ppff is fine also. Thanks.

Long Action feeding Short Cartridges (AICS)

My intent is to use my Terminus Zeus Long Action (QC) with various barrels in order to shoot both short action and long action cartridges (.308, 6.5CM, and .300PRC). This would enable me to save money by using only 1x action and 1x scope, and having the ability to freely change the chassis/barrel combination between a heavy range configuration (MPA chassis + steel .308 barrel) and a lightweight hunting configuration (MDT26 chassis + carbon fiber .300PRC barrel). I know that we have precedent in the military for LA systems running short cartridges (M24), and ideally it would be similar to our Mk 22/MRAD running .300Norma or .308 just by making use of the proper magazines to ensure reliable feeding… I just need help understanding how to best do this on my personal gun making use of AICS compatible folding chassis systems (I prefer these over stocks).

I’m looking for feedback from everyone on:
(1) descriptive feedback from any shooters who have tried theAccurate Mag AICS .308 LA Magazinewith short action rounds (ie whether I will encounter reliable feeding without issue).

(2) any recommendations for which AICS magazines or mag kits I should acquire in order to reliably feed short action cartridges like .308 into a Long Action (Zues) within a modern chassis system (MDT HNT26 + MPA ESR) if the aforementioned Accurate Mags are not ideal.

Amplifying Information:
**I have seen the Barbour Creek videos with James running Hawkins Precision 30-06 magazines to reliably feed short-action 6.5CM into a long action Terminus Zues… but the employees at both Barbour and Hawkins have communicated on the phone that this is only compatible via a stock with bottom metal using the m5 inlet, and my intent is to use chassis rather than stocks (specifically, MPA ESR and MDT HUNT26). MDT said that I would need AICS compatible 3.850 CIP magazines.

**I have read through the forums for months and encountered conflicting information and mixed word on whether or not the Accurate Mag listed above are a reliable, malfunction-free solution… “Islas82” seemingly communicated Initial Success with these accurate mags beginning 29NOV2024, but then Likely Failure due to feeding issues on 02FEB2025.. supposedly even “ rlsmith1 “ had used these accurate mags for short actions into a Long Action as well… if anyone can provide additional updates or new information, I would appreciate it. I would like to hear if anyone has experience with running .308 thru the LA Accurate Mags into the LA Terminus Zues.

*** I saw the thread on magazines being made with a spacer linked by Tyler Kemp, but it seemed unresolved to me and currently unviable for my use case (.308 capability in my Zues LA which has a lightweight .300PRC MDT26 configuration and heavy MPA .308 set up). Please advise if there is another currently viable, well known magazine option for short calibers in long actions… specific to AICS compatibility.

**** Some additional consulted resources so that others know I’ve done extensive research before posting this thread: Thread 1 / Thread 2

Couldn’t find a way to DM/PM some of those individuals, so hope that posting this casts a larger net for potential sources of information with applicable insight/experience. Thank you for your time.

Once fired Brass Pricing

I have been in the buy sell pages for a while but figured I would ask here to see what you all think. I see small batches (~100) mostly coming up and am interested in opinions regarding lots of 500 or more

I am considering loading virgin brass and then selling it once fired for my PRS rig. (Save time on annealling, cleaning, etc). I have a few buddies that will most likely join me and as such we have enough buying power to get dealer status at Grafs.

My question is not about firing virgin brass but if there is an accepted price margin for once fired? If Peterson Dasher, as an example is 1.19/case new, is .95 a fair price? Thoughts?

We would be selling 6x47, dasher, BR, and 6GT

6.5 CM Berger 130 Gr loads

Hey everyone, just starting to load for my new 6.5 Creedmoor I picked up last weekend. It's a custom build Surgeon 591 with a 24" Hardy CF barrel on it. I took it to the range the other day and fired some Federal GM Berger 130gr rounds through it to break in. Took about 10 rounds before it settled down and I printed a 1" group at 100 yards. Not super impressive but I'll chalk it up to being the first rounds through the barrel, and the ammo being from different lots.

Now I'm looking to start some load development with virgin Lapua brass, Berger 130gr OTM Hybrids, and H4350. I'm planning on ladder testing from 41gr up in 0.3gr increments to find a load it likes. Just wondering what everyone else is running with this combination in terms of powder charge and distance off the lands (is there a certain distance these bullets like?)

And before anyone jumps down my throat, I've check the 17 pages of loads on here but there really is not much for 130gr bullets in Lapua brass.
