Accessories MPA Matrix Pro Chassis and DN5 Brake

Price: $1250
Shipping: UPS to lower 48, buyer pays
Location: Metro Atlanta for local pickup

SEND ME A PM TO COMMUNICATE! I don't use the comments section on listings to answer questions or deal.

MPA Matrix Pro Chassis was purchased in 2023 and used in about 20 matches. Freshly applied Tuff Armor Black Cerakote on 1/9/2025 by a certified applicator and it looks brand new. The applicator said the factory MPA finish was the worst finish he's ever seen on a chassis, so this is an upgrade over even a new one. It was bedded for an Impact 737R action, but the bedding material has been removed so you can bed whatever action you desire. Details of the chassis are as follows:
  • Adjustable bag rider
  • Adjustable length of pull
  • Adjustable padded cheek riser
  • MPA vertical 3 grip installed
  • Finger block
  • Thumb rest
  • 2 round holder
  • GrayOps Matrix Pro external weights (aluminum)
  • Front bridge with Picatinny rail
  • Full length magwell plate
  • Adjustable magazine slide
  • Matrix Pro RAT RAIL
It will come with the accessories shown in the plastic container, which includes an MPA data card, two thumb rest variants, two finger block variants, a stubby bag gripper for the magwell, and MPA vertical 2 grip.

The MPA DN5 brake was purchased in March 2024 and used maybe 10 times. It has been cleaned in a ultrasonic tank. Thread: 5/8-24

Contract Run Blow out - Solus/Origin 6.5 Creeds

I've talked about our Production Shop a little, most of the stuff we do for Hide Members is the Custom Shop. We finished a run of 6.5 Creedmoor prefits for Solus/Origin barrels several months back and we just got stock release on the blanks that we had left from the contract run. We buy more blanks for a contract than what is required to make sure if something happens in production we have spares... these are those spares.

There are 15 barrels total, all are 6.5mm Creeds and they're all setup for Origin/Solus headspace. The contours are limited in the drop down menu and the pricing includes muzzle threads (5/8-24) cut to our standard Class 3A spec.

Blanks used are Vortakt Series 400 which are 416R stainless, lapped, stress relieved and button rifled. In our internal testing these seemed comparable to Criterions we've seen. They are not custom made Ospreys

We saw factory ammo hover around 3/4 MOA and hand loads were a little tighter.

The blowout pricing is a "get 'em while they're here, when they're gone they're gone" situation.

Remage Prefit and Piercing Primers

Needing some advice. Story goes like this: I tore down a Remington 700 chambered in 243 with no more than five boxes put through it wanting to build a competition rifle chambered in 6mm creed. Teardown went great and assembly went equally as good. First ammo I put through it was some Hornady eld-m with no problems. I bought a couple cases of Norma Golden Target, shot a couple boxes with no problems and some pretty good groups. All was good until I had a “click” and no boom. Recocked the firing pin and another click. Pulled the round and saw a light primer strike. Didn’t think anything of it, chambered another round and another click but this time no strike at all. Looking into it I found several fired brass that had “inverted primer strikes” by that I mean they were not a crater but a dimple like they flowed into the firing pin hole. Also found one that had a perfect circle cut out of it which I found inside my bolt assembly along with a bent firing pin. I figured that my pin failed somehow and caused all this and went on a search for a new one. I decided to purchase an entire assembly from PTG instead. All was good except for the first half box and then the same problem came back along with the problem that when you run the bolt home with any haste the firing pin will fall with the bolt handle when closing unless the safety is on. Now, before I get hammered about Remington’s trigger problem this is not the factory trigger but rather a Triggertech although the same thing happens with the factory trigger and a jewel from another rifle. I called PTG and they said they “knew what the problem was” and would send another bolt. Got the second new bolt still acts the same but now it also drags on the sides of the slot in the receiver that the bottom of the cocking piece slides through. My factory trigger has a small window where you can see the sear engagement with another piece and when you run the bolt home too hard you can see that the sear slides past that piece and the pin will fall as the bolt closes. If when they disengage from one another you back the bolt up ever so slightly they reset and the group functions as normal. I’ll up load any pics needed and can measure anything to the best of my ability this one is Messi no with my head and needing a little directional input. Thank you all in advance!

I hope SC does away with the H4-EADs

SC Case

If "highly skilled" H1B workers are restricted to a specific field, how can their arranged marriage spouses be allowed to work anywhere without restrictions on H4-EAD? Granted that the H1B holder waited maybe six years to get their i-140 approved to be eligible for the spouse's H4-EAD but just because someone is on the path to becoming a permanent resident or a citizen someday is not a justifiable cause to start giving out jobs that are supposed to be for citizens.

My personal experience with one of these bitches at work:
- Was given opportunities in private companies by other Indians despite lack of skills.
- Cheats on a test, gets certified, and got the state job because muh diversity.
- Negotiated salary by lying to HR about her previous salary. Gets paid $130,000 per year. What in the actual fuck?!
- Hiring other Indians to state from other states. Using a loophole to stay out of trouble.
- Owns three houses and their 3000 sq. ft house in Arizona is too small according to this cunt.

I wrote to Stephen Miller, my congresswoman Mary Miller, and Trump's office. None of them responded. Apparently, Save Jobs has been fighting this for a while. This H4-EAD bullshit was an executive action signed by Obummer and despite Trump's efforts to get rid of it during his first term, they failed. Hopefully, they get rid of it this time.

Sorry for the rant but fuck, I can't stand this shit anymore. I might file a lawsuit down the road. The "poor hard working immigrant" bullshit doesn't apply to most of these non-immigrant work visa type motherfuckers. They come here just for the $ and nothing else. They have zero respect for this country, the constitution, its history, its values/principles, and pretty much everything this country stands for. Mind you, as of today 1 US Dollar is equal to 85.66 Indian Rupees.

Help with Reloading Data

All, I could really use some help here. I'm relatively new to fine tuning loads to get consistently small groups. For the first time ever I have a rifle that I believe I can tune a load to shoot small groups. After my ladder testing, the image below outlines the loads I decided to test. I know it's a lot of loads but I have some new Lapua brass that I wanted to fire form so I figured what the heck. Would anyone be willing to take a look and advise on where to go next? Load 1 seems obvious to test further, butI would really like a little higher velocity if possible. However at Load 7 I can't tell what is happening with that group. Is it possible that the higher 2900 fps velocity is where the load starts to come apart? If I overlay all these groups while taking exception to one flyer on the right on load 3 and one flyer on the left on load 7 (if indeed those are flyers) that leaves me with a roughly 1.170" 35 shot group. That leads me to believe that this powder, primer, and bullet combination are promising. But again I am relatively new to the fine tuning of a load and am not very sure what I am looking for at times. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time in advance.

2025 project: poor man’s M24ish and an M40 replica for CMP matches.

For 2025 I am going to try and build two replica snipers using Remington M700/40-X short actions:

First, a "shooter" M40 replica for CMP vintage sniper matches - so I can keep my Chuck Mawhinny commemorative rifle mostly in the safe, given its increasing collectability.
Secondly, I hope to build a poor man's M24ish (with a short action) - so I will use my M24R a little less, given its collectability.

What I picked up last month to assist in those two projects is what I suspect is a 1969/70 era Remington 40X repeater that the previous owner turned into a poor man's M24ish rifle, complete with an HS Precision stock and a tan camo job. I have an extra RR prefix M700 receiver (short action 308) that I had refinished years ago, and that will be the base of my M24ish rifle. The 40-X has a clip slotted reciever, so that receiver + bolt + trigger + trigger guard will go towards that top wooden stock (BO M40 mount also shown). I can thank USMCSGT0331 for the vintage Remington buttplate for that wood stock - but it needs a bit of sanding to slim it down to the original M40 profile...and a front swivel.
IMG_7566.jpeg

Sort of a nuance, but the 1960s era M700 bolts are a little thinner in the wrist that the later bolts, and the checkering on the knob runs in a diagonal pattern, whereas the later M700 bolts are thicker at the wrist, and the checking runs in vertical and horizontal pattern.
IMG_7560.jpeg

I have no idea when this 40-X was made, but the previous owner thought it was 1969 based on some other original rifles.
IMG_7546.jpeg

The funny thing is the owner of the 40-X painted the rifle in a color and pattern very similar to my M24R shown on the bottom with its original camo job from its prior service life. Sort of an interesting coincidence, but I like it...He said he got the last 1/2" thick HS Precision buttpad marked “Remington” that HS Precision had on hand. It was under someone's desk, but he snagged it, and it looks better than the 1" versions.
IMG_7548.jpeg

For those who noticed, yes, the old 40-X target rifles from the 1960s had 27.5" SS barrels, and thus I will have my gunsmith cut this down to 24" and re-crown it so it looks more like an M24 barrel. I'll of course have the Redfield front sight block re-installed on the shortended barrel. In the end I hope have a long action M24R as a collection piece, and a short action M24ish as more of a range toy. Might use my extra M3A Ultra scope on the M24ish, but it's currently on my Mk 14 Mod 0 project, but I have most other parts - aside from the Sunny Hill bottom metal.
IMG_7552.jpeg

So, that should keep me busy in 2025....just need to find a proper Bartlein barrel for the M40 replica, and the Sunny Hill 520 bottom metal for the M24ish...

Accessories ISO MK13 Mod 5 chassis/kit

Hey all, trying to finally complete a grail gun of mine. Missed two of these kits in the last few months so maybe I’ll have a little more success with a wtb.

As stated, looking for a kit or even just the AI chassis. Let me know what you have. Have cash or a mod 0 in progress I can use as trade bait.

Thanks!

Rifle Scopes ZCO 5-27 vs March 5-42

Looking at upgrading my element theos to some alpha level glass.

I’m interested in either the ZCO 5-27 or the March high master 5-42. Also debating the ZCO 8-40, but it’s gigantic and I don’t shoot ELR. March is more compact so the extra magnification is just a bonus.

I’d be looking at the MPCT1 or FML3 reticles. I don’t find any use for a tree…

No experience with anything ZCO. I did have a 4.5-28x high master at one point and the glass very nice for its size.

Anyone have experience comparing the ZCO offerings to the updated March high masters with shuriken turrets?

MK4 Spotter Loose Bracket Help

8F4BF18C-DF2D-4ADF-B0AE-F915CB611B74.jpeg

[No time to ship to Leupold for repair w/match schedule]

Before I essentially take a thin notched washer and adhere the two parts together to remove the wiggle, does anyone have any experience retightening the inner ring?

Issue:

Was shooting in 35-40 gusting winds and I didn’t weigh my tripod down with my pack (like an idiot). So it took a hard landing on the concrete. Everything inside and optically is fine (surprisingly), but the locked down anvil head gave the RRS notched plate nowhere to go besides rotate into the threaded adapter at the base of the spotter.

Now the mounting sleeve (circle with the notch) is loose and the inner threaded circle is partially loose but doesn’t want to move more than 1/8” in either direction.

Anyone run into this? Advice?

Thanks

Night Vision Safran TAD

Looks like units will be available by the end of August (which probably means Sept/Oct). What's interesting to me is that this doesn't appear to just be a stripped down E-COTI. Instead, it's got a slightly higher resolution 10 micron core that only operates in Full Thermal / Outline modes (no more Patrol).

Defiance or American Rifle Company

I am looking at building a 6.5 PRC. And before it is discussed, I am set on short action. I am willing to deal with issues if they come up with a 6.5 PRC in a short action since it is my choice.
Anyway, I have it narrowed down to Defiance Classic and American Rifle Company Coup De Grace actions. I like them both for separate reasons, but want opinions of what people own. Looking at a carbon fiber barrel in a Manner's stock, if that makes a difference. I have picked these for reviews I have already seen, and for weight and price. I have actually called both companies to ask questions. ARC had the better customer service, although neither was bad.

My initial concerns are that there seems to be more fitment required by the ARC Coup De Grace, but the lead time is much better. There are more Defiance Classics sold, so I may get more comments on those of course.

What's the good, bad, and ugly from people that own one or the other or both?

SOLD BRN-180 GEN 3 300BLK Upper Receiver Assembly 9" PRICE DROP

It's exactly what the title says. Lightly used (~100 rounds). Ran fine...I keep trying to convince myself that I like 300blk in semi-autos and I keep proving otherwise whenever I buy one. Oh well, my loss if your gain.

Asking $900 800 shipped. It does not come with the optic or foregrip, but I can include the muzzle device if you happen to use the griffin dual lok platform.
