SOLD 2.05 34mm Unity Mount w/ Holosun 507 12&45 Offset RDS mounts.

Gents,

I have up for grabs a black Unity 2.05 LPVO mount in the 34mm tube flavor up for grabs. Included with the package is the mount, (obviously) but also a “seasoned” Holosun 507, OHC kill flash for it, the 12 O’clock RDS mount and the 45 degree offset mount for it as well.

My buddy borrowed this setup and boogered up the 507 screws, they can be removed with patience, it’s just not worth my patience to deal with, as such comes with the mount setup.

Overall this setup is a little over 800 new. I just don’t typically use mounts this high. Help a brother out, shoot me 400 for it and we’ll call it good.

Payment thru Zelle.

New to PRS – RPR vs. Tikka T3X – Looking for Experienced Insight

Hey everyone,

I'm starting to dip my toes into the PRS world and would really appreciate some feedback from those of you with more experience. Right now, I’m weighing two options for my first setup:

  • Tikka T3X CTR dropped into an MDT chassis (XRS)
  • Ruger Precision Rifle (RPR), most likely in 6.5 Creedmoor

My goal is to stay under $1,500 for the rifle and base upgrades (excluding glass), and I'm hoping to land something that will serve me well for local matches while leaving room to grow as I improve.

A few things I'm considering:

  • Accuracy and out-of-the-box performance
  • Long-term reliability and upgrade paths
  • Overall ergonomics and ease of getting match-ready
  • Resale value down the line if I upgrade

I know both platforms have their followings, but I’d love to hear from those who’ve run both (or seen them at matches) and can speak to how they stack up in real-world PRS use.

Any input—good, bad, or lessons learned—is very welcome. Appreciate the help!

Optics 2024 Gen 4 FDE Elcan SpecterDR 1-4x (7.62 BDC)

$2100- Selling newest iteration of FDE SpecterDR with 7.62 BDC. Changes from previous versions include an integrated picatinny rail, ambi throw levers, and anti-IR Cerakote. I’m the original owner and it’s in great condition aside from a few tiny scuffs. I unfortunately cut a hole in the Tenebraex ARD to make the view less hazy. Armament Technology warranty is good until January 2027.

Will consider a trade for a new or like new FDE ATACR 1-8 DMX

Mark 4hd tracking issue

So here’s the problem, new scope I mounted right before a PRS match and my dope seemed to be off at longer distances. After trying to figure out what I was doing wrong I decided to test the tracking. I shot a group at zero then 2 at 5mil and 2 at 10mil all @100yrds. Problem is with 5mil the point of impact is moving 19” instead of 18 and at 10mil it’s moving 37-37.5”. Doesn’t seem like much but shooting .5mil high at longer ranges makes a difference. Do you guys see anything I could be doing to cause this or just a tracking issue? I shot the groups round robin to see shifts. View attachment 8682707

Edit: This edit is being added to address some questions or things that have been raised in this post. First I always shoot over a chronograph but it doesn’t matter in this test. Since we’re 100% testing impact shift at 100yrds then velocity, BC and all other influences do not matter (we’re only testing impact shift). Secondly I have already adjusted my data in the kestrel to match what the issue is, so that’s not really a concern.
The main reason for the post was to see if this is a common issue with the mark 4hd. I ask that because I have two Mark4 hd 6-24 scopes and suspect a similar issue with both. I bought a pr3 reticle for my 6.5 being built now and the pr2 reticle for 6gt. I received the pr3 reticle first so I threw it on and and shot a PRS match and found at longer distances I was shooting high compared to the (untrued data in the kestrel) and also when compared to friends guns running the same bullet and velocity as me. Right after that match the pr3 reticle came in so I swapped it onto the gun and went to true my data. Doing that is when I saw the actual tracking issue. I’ve been extremely busy so I haven’t had the time to run more tests but next week before sending it back to Leupold I will compare the two scopes side by side on a verified chart to see how much shift I am getting.

President-Elect Trump Announces Push for National Concealed Carry Reciprocity

Over the weekend President-elect Donald Trump announced a push for national concealed carry reciprocity, a move which would make the concealed permit of any one state valid in the other 49.
On Sunday, Don Trump Jr. posted to Instagram, “Boom! My father just announced concealed carry reciprocity. The Second Amendment will stay and remain protected.”
Texas Gun Rights posted a video of Trump’s reciprocity announcement to X:On September 18, 2015, just months after Trump launched his first presidential campaign, Breitbart News pointed to policy papers wherein he said:

The right of self-defense doesn’t stop at the end of your driveway. That’s why I have a concealed carry permit and why tens of millions of Americans do too. That permit should be valid in all 50 states. A driver’s license works in every state, so it’s common sense that a concealed carry permit should work in every state. If we can do that for driving – which is a privilege, not a right – then surely we can do that for concealed carry, which is a right, not a privilege.

And during his 2020 presidential campaign Trump continued to support national reciprocity. During an interview with the NRA’s First Freedom, Trump was asked, “Mr. President, each state’s driver’s license is honored across this great nation, yet a permit to carry a concealed gun — which, in contrast, is a right specifically protected in the U.S. Bill of Rights — is often not respected by other states. Will you support a national reciprocity act so that law-abiding gun owners can more easily travel with their freedom?”
Trump’s response: “Yes.”
President-elect Trump is again signaling that national reciprocity for concealed carry will be an important goal for his administration.

The Most Insidious Tracking Software on the Planet

Drum Roll.... It's Microsoft "Copilot". And it's included in every new Windows update. It fully tracks every fucking thing you do in all of your devices. Including online credit card transactions. That includes everything, ammo purchases included...

I've been tracking that shit for a while now and it's out of control! It tracks EVERYTHING. Of Course they'll you it doesn't ;)

So, I went and tried to disable it. Guess what? It can be done but it takes a deep dive. Furthermore, if you have the same MS apps in say Apple devices, you can't get rid of it without fully deleting your MS apps for good.

The only way to do it is to erase that apps in Apple. If you put them back in they start tracking again. I finally got that stuff out of all my Windows software - one machine at a time, but I'm sure the damn Copilot will all come back on any auto/manual update you choose to do on your windows software.

The way to fully take it out of Windows at present is to go the System page and completely delete Copilot from there. That's working, for now. Have to do it on every device.

And, there is no way to take it out from Apple devices that are running Windows apps without permanently removing those apps.

Talk about "Big Brother. Frack!

Long gong

Anyone play around with long gong matches and see what’s your experience been like? Is there anything I need to know before showing up besides the basics of know your gear and you ballistic data.

I’ve got a semi local club that’s putting on a match and figured I’d give it a shot since the PRS22 has lost its fun for me recently due to it becoming more of a hassle than its worth at this point.
