There's been very little advertising or media about the event it would seem, but the 2025 IPRF competition starts tomorrow, held in the UK.

There's meant to be a lot of media coming over for it bit so far all I've seen is stuff on Facebook from the GBPRA, IPRF and individuals. Probably some stuff on Instagram too I'd imagine.

I have a new hunting/field rifle I'm putting together. Defiance classic aw cut action, 2x 20" barrels in 6cm and 65cm. Likely using the spare mdt crbn stock. Gonna use a mdt adjustable latch dbm. I'm gonna machine all the excess aluminum that sits below the stock line to clean it up for true flush fit.

I want to use AW mags, so has anyone ever shortened an AW mag to say 5 or 6rd capacity, and re-tig welded the base plate back on?

As the title says, I expect to get a lot of different answers for this. The shop that a lot of us use or will use for barreled actions, has started to get away from using Impact actions due to customer service/shipping issues. Now, their preferred are Lone Peak. Possibly use Kauger if someone's needs to save a couple bucks. My question is this: Impacts would be one I usually tell folks to look at. I have looked at what other competitors are using across the country, and everyone has their favorite. If there were a "Top 3" Actions here, who would they be. tia

1. how do I ‘tighten’ up the detent force of the length of pull adjustment; I’m finding that when firing the recoil force overrides the ‘lock’ of the selected position and it retracts to the shortest length of pull.
2. Are the specifications of the Ballista barrel extension/interface EXACTLY the same as the TPG3-A4 produced in Europe. I.e. are they interchangeable?

I got a 50% off Leofoto tripod kit from NRL22 nationals since I desperately needed a tripod (luckily managed to borrow a friend's but I need my own from here on out). What's the best tripod for NRL/PRS that Leofoto offers? I want to maximize that 50% off and have no idea what the difference between all the tripods are.

For context, I'm 6'0" and one of the stages had us shoot off a tripod (either clamped or off a tac table) so I'm interested in practicing that. Otherwise it'll mostly be used for glassing and general utility (as a table, carrying markers and stuff, etc).

I’ve been a member here for a long time but never posted due to fees I have quite a bit of feedback on Rokslide though.

Recently saw eurooptic has a really good price on the XRS3 6-36. I have a few questions for the hide regarding this optic. First, some context: Ive been removed from longer range shooting for about 3 years now (not my choice) and am looking within the next 3-4 months to build up a bolt gun again and try to shoot some local matches as well as get into some predator hunting bith here in Nebraska and in my guard trips out to Utah and Idaho. Im not so much concerned about weight as my budget is pretty limited and the gym is free. My experience in the higher magnification optic space is pretty firmly in the mid tier; nx8s, mk5s, athlon cronus, etc..
My questions are:
1. Ive seen w/ sales and/or discounts this optic is generally 1600 which puts it in contention with the steiner t6xi 5-30 and burris xtr pros that I've been leaning towards. Would this price reduction make this optic worth it over the other 2?
2. Would i miss having the illumination for hunting? Never really been exposed to it and am learning everything myself so any input there is appreciated.
3. The gun this would go on Would probably be my one gun solution bolt gun (until funds permit otherwise), would this optic be a good solution for that or would the other optics im looking at be better candidates?

Looking to sell my ZCO 840 MPCT1X 10 Mil NLE. Has the normal wear and tear on it as it has been shot at PRS matches. Still works perfect. I had a concern about zero shift once and sent it in to ZCO and it came back with a clean bill of health and was used when I got 9th place at Twisted Barrel Scorcher. This thing has sat in an Area 419 mount with proper torque its whole life.

** Well I have enough people reaching out asking me why in the world would I sell a ZCO, figured I would answer it here. Honestly there isn't a good reason. I also have a K540i and shooting them side by side they are just so comparable. I believe the reticle is better in the ZCO but slightly better FOV, parallax adjustment and ever so slight image quality has me wanting to keep the K540 and sell the ZCO.

Asking $3800 as that seems appropriate with the current availability. No trades.
