Kapture Gear digiscope adapter?

Any feedback on this new option to Olllin and Magview? Waiting until they have a fit for my phone, definitely like the more functional case. I do wonder about the long-term durability of 3M tape holding the mag ring on the eyepiece, but also know how strong that stuff is when applied correctly.

Seekins Hit in 223?

So I'm considering getting a Seekins Hit M3 in 223 but I wanted to do a little research first. I tried searching here and Google for reviews but I'm finding very little. Any guys on here have a Hit in 223? Any issues with feeding or ejecting? Can the bolt be bound up by pushing on the bottom of the magazine like many other 223s? Any other dislikes about the 223 specifically?

Hello from the Carolinas

Super new to this sport of LR shooting and could appreciate guidance.

I have shot up to 1000 yards (1 MOA) using my 6.5 Creedmoor MPA PMR Pro II. Wouldn't mind a big trip out west to explore longer options.

I love the technical aspect. Can't help it - I'm an electrical and software engineer. Really into exterior ballistics - using my Garmin to log all rounds and maintain detailed shot history perf. Looking for others with similar interests, including custom ballistic software solutions, ML/AI, etc.

Son of CIA deputy director killed

While fighting in the Russian army in Ukraine.

There couldn’t possibly be any national security implications or threats .
This seems fine - CIA upper management has no idea her own son is fighting for a foreign nation.

Extremely fucked up .

I’m betting had he been fighting for Ukraine it wouldn’t have taken a year or more for the story to be made public .

78 year old man beaten up over a parking spot

By an off duty cop.
I think it’s worth more points to abuse the elderly when not on the clock- more edgy more “sheepdog”.

I love the part when the old man said “he falsely accused me of having expired tabs , he don’t know his ass from a home in the dirt”
And the other cop tells him to shut his mouth and not talk about their fellow deputies that way “act professional “ he talks him .

Mechanics of using a tripod as a bipod

Hi all,

I have seen many photos on this site where shooters are using a tripod like a bipod when in the prone position. I tried this today and it was stable but I do have a few noob questions to ask. Hoping someone with greater experience with this method can chime in, but all comments are welcome.
  1. How low should you set the tripod? I splayed the legs out to their maximum. This worked, but the rifle and my position were too low. It was uncomfortable. I intend to try it in a slightly higher position.
  2. Tripod head clamp - Do you fully lock the tripod head? I use an Anvil. If yes, how do you fine-tune the rifle position to get on target? If no, how tightly do you close the clamp?
  3. Rear bag use - Provided the height of the rifle is similar to the height when using a bipod, you could still use a rear bag. However, with the Anvil locked, there was no real need to. The butt was pretty stable.
  4. Loading - I didn't think this was necessary, but my shoulder was up against the butt of the rifle to keep the recoil under control.
  5. What else am I missing?
I was using this to shoot groups at 100 yards. I could see that this would be more practical when shooting steel from prone. They are larger targets, and some of the fine-tuning may not be necessary.

Thanks in advance

Optics Leupold MK4HD 4.5-18 w/mount

Selling a lightly used MK4HD 4.5-18x52 scope. Currently in a Vortex precision 20MOA cantilever mount with diving board mount. It has the PR2-MIL reticle.

The scope has seen very little use, was initially intending on using it on my practical precision/DMR rifle, but lately have been running a 1-10 LPVO instead. Glass is still perfect, no damage or even signs of use on the exterior.

Asking $1150 shipped, for scope and mount (would like to keep them together if possible)

Would trade for/towards (can add cash on my end)
