A 22 LR rifle repeatedly groups half minute or better at 50 yds and 100 yds. Groups at 200 yds still acceptable MOA +/-, but past that patterns not groups, especially 300 yds and out.

What do you attribute to lack of performance at longer range?

Ammo, barrel, conditions, shooter?

I have my opinion, but have heard others that make no sense.

Just a thought...what do y'all think would happen,
if 5 shot groups went the way of the dodo,
and if ya' were going to show off how well ye'r rifle can do at 100 yards,
was accomplished by sending all 50 shots at a single aimpoint.
I have a feeling it'd pretty much end claims of "sub-moa all day long".

Even at 50 yards it'd be damn difficult to accomplish.

A couple of buddies and I are thinking about trying out a few nrl hunter matches this year and weighing options on caliber. The easy button looks to be 24-26” 6.5 creed, which is what I’m leaning towards, but open to other suggestions. Also I am thinking of being in open heavy but not opposed to open light division if I could get there. Couldn’t really find a thread on it so wondering if we could start one where people post their caliber, bullet, velocity, rifle build, barrel material, length, overall weight, scope, etc? All fired from my chambers cut with the same reamer. Usually a very light load. Very good condition. This brass was all used in PRS in a season where I never placed out of the top 10 in a single match out of 12 pro matches. Only placed out of the top 5 in 2 of those matches. So you know it's good!
