New Tikka Inbound and Another Question about Stocks

I have a Tikka T3x Lite LA inbound and I'm wondering about my stock options. On the one hand, I could replace the recoil pad with a Limbsaver and add a cheek riser of some sort, or I could ditch the factory stock altogether for a chassis. In the chassis market, I'm primarily interested in the KRG Bravo/Echo or the MDT Field or similar in the sub $500 range. My usage for this rifle will be for hunting deer and hogs at 400 yds or less, with the vast majority of shots falling at 300 and under.

Amongst the chassis, I'm leaning toward the KRG Echo.

What sayeth the Hide?

General reloading questions

Hey all,

I'm somewhat new to reloading but been very successful and having great results thus far. For the most part, I'm good as far as the whole process goes. I just have a few questions and I think I know the answers but would like to get a 2nd opinion from more experienced loaders.

Firstly, below are some brass cases I have. Which of these have crimped primers? I've searched online and looked at pictures. I think I know which are crimped but again, prefer 2nd opinion.

We're going to call these brass pieces A - H from left to right so there's no confusion.

First pic is A B C D E F G H.
Second pic is A B C D E F & half of G
Third pic is C D E F G H

Lastly, I have ammo loaded from my previous barrel. It had a long throat as it was nearing it's end of life. Therefore, ammo is loaded too long for new barrel and the charge is a bit much. I will pull loaded rounds apart and load them to new barrel recipe.

Because they've had a bullet seated in the case for months, should I resize case/neck or will I be good to just seat bullet at new depth? Obviously this would be done after dumping powder and re-charging with appropriate charge weight.

Thanks a bunch...

**edit to add**

Should have thrown these in there too.with the crimped primers question. This is fgmm 7.62

And this...

I should have also mentioned this is all for bolt guns. I do not have any AR style rifles. And whatever brass I end up reloading from these posted above, will be for bolt gun.

Help me build a 6ARC rifle for a new sport - Bike-athalon

pls disregard std stereotypes for cyclist or bicyclist etc..

OK, so last year I started combining roadbiking and shooting into one event. This has always been a by myself 10mile 1 way run over the mountain across town to the bougie indoor range to shoot groups and then ride back again but I'm looking to try other runs/ranges. I try to combine my time and groups for total scoring. I have run the Ruger 9mmPCC with lightweight handloaded shock case rounds, a couple of custom CZ pistols and the Ruger Black Grand Mamba 16" 22 pistol. More on that ridiculousness here:
Login to view embedded media So the Ruger PCC kind of cheats as a rifle IMO. I've put rounds on steel at 100+ with it and it does fine for the indoor range that is 25yds but I want a setup that I could take to other outdoor ranges 100yd+ ranges. So I'm looking at rifles to fit the niche. I was an early adopter of 6ARC and have kkkks of starline cases for those so I am leaning to that caliber. I would also kind of like a bolt action. I *did* look at the rifles that the olympic competitors use in the skiing event (seeing as how I'm just replacing the skis with a roadbike or gravel bike). From memory they run custom 22s. I want something I can reload for as a caliber. Also as most of these routes (currently) are along public roads, I don't want to be flagging around a rifle barrel on my back, so something that folds or breaks down is a huge plus. I'm also looking to possibly start deer/coyote hunting with a setup like this as well.

So I'm looking at
  • howa mini action : https://www.howausa.com/rifles/mini-excl-lite/ <-- seems like a really great option
  • Wingman Elude chassis and howa barreled mini action
  • build a short pencil lightweight upper for my 6ARC target rifle (this seems redundant as the biggest advantage would be barrel length ((vs my current 20" 6ARC)) - I looked at a carbon barrel and about choked at the $$$ so that's out. This could be built quickly and cheaply in general.
  • just find an old .223/.243 and slap it in a folding stock, possibly re-barrel it or if its a .243 can I just have the chamber reamed to a 6ARC?
  • build or buy a 16" bolt action pistol in 6ARC
Ok, so that's what's been on my mind lately. I didn't spend much $ or time on guns last year due to vehicle stuff but this year hoping to get more range time.

Hey! Bear Pit! Do a trick!

You pricks are boring me to pieces lately.

Someone go rent a Lambo and dangle a sammich in front of some starving coloreds and post us pictures.

Bench press buckets of concrete hung on the limbs of your bow.

We need a community gathering at the whipping post.

You old hats are losing your touch. (The ones the little fella hasn’t ban hammered yet to pave the way for all these AWESOME new dolts, window lickers, askholes, novelists, and scammers.)

Reloading Equipment 6MM GT Brass

Please send me a PM to communicate. I do not use the comments section to deal or answer questions.

Price for 100 pieces- $80

I have two 100 piece packs of once-fired Hornady 6mm GT brass. It has been deprimed, annealed, shoulder bumped .002, and tumbled. I did not resize or trim necks, leaving that up to the buyer to decide what they want. I will have more up for sale soon if you want more.

Shipping to lower 48 included in the price.

I hate having to do this but I know there will be whiners. To address any complaints and math challenged trolls who think this is too high for once-fired brass, let me pro/con this for you. New Hornady 6GT brass is .84 cents per piece, PLUS whatever the shipping and tax is. For example, a new 100-piece order from a shop known for 6GT in Missouri is $84 + $25.92 in shipping charges to Georgia for a total of $109.92, so in this case you would pay just shy of $1.10 per piece of brass, and this is without tax.

No trades, payment via PayPal, Venmo, or Zelle. Shipping will occur once payment is secured, no exceptions. You are welcome to use Goods and Services options, as long as you are covering the fees.

SOLD Larue LT100 trijicon acog/vcog qd mount

Larue Tactical LT100 qd mount

This unit came factory on my ir hunter and was replaced with a bobro mount to scoot the optic back. Very little use. It was my first experience with qd mounts and I was very impressed with how it returned to zero when taken on and off or moved to different rifles (different zero profiles on the thermal allowed caliber switching with the throw of two levers and the pressing of a few buttons)

Per Larue website fits acog/vcog models
