School me on titanium actions

Searched but couldn't find a good thread on titanium actions.
Besides hunting applications and situations that call for lighter weight builds, are there any major advantages and disadvantages to Ti actions?

Does accuracy suffer from either flex or loss of weight near center of mass? Are there barrel tenon or muzzle device issues due to the differences in metal mating surfaces? Etc?

Inquiring minds want to know.
Thanks in advance.

Happy MOEthers Day—Magpul MOE PR stock

My review of the MOE PR stock. TLDW: A pretty decent stock for quasi-precision work, such as a Recce Rifle.
Pros: Cheap, lightweight, good bag ride-ability
Cons: Open cutout on the bottom, no QD hole (though it has the ability to take an Mlok one), and it has a decent amount of wobble/rattle. Why Magpul can’t use whatever they have in the SL is beyond me.

Anyone else have one that wants to chime in? I’d be interested in your thoughts.

Can't decide which scope/rifle combo I have makes the most sense

Yet another question...I'm going down the rabbit hole as of late and would appreciate your perspectives.

I have two rifles and two scopes...and I'm weighing which scope makes the most sense for the rifles in question. Neither will be used for hunting. Both for shooting paper and steel. So here goes...

Rifle #1: LMT MWS, SSR-E trigger, 20" Stainless 6.5CM
-Gets 2592 fps with 147 ELD-M. Subsonic at about 1400 yards
-Historically a 1 MOA gun with the .308 barrel. Don't have enough time behind the 6.5CM to say, but certainly no worse.
-Used to wear an early USO 1.8-10x42 FFP Mil illuminated. Heavy, but low profile. Now mounted on a 20" M40ish .308 build but could always slap it back on and put the NXS on the M40 thing.

Rifle #2: Tikka T3X TACT A1, 24" Stainless .308
-No velocities recorded yet, but probably 2650 fps with 175 SMK. Subsonic at about 1025 yards.
-Printed a 5 shot .57" group with 168 SMK, but first and only time behind the rifle.
-First outing it wore a NXS 3.5-15x50.

Scope #1: Nightforce NXS 3.5-15x50, MOAR, SFP

Scope #2: Nightforce ATACR 5-25x56, MOAR, SFP

Given the effective ranges of the particular cartridges, the physical size/weight of the two platforms and the two scopes (to include height over rail), magnification range and any other variables I'm not considering...which scope would you mount to which rifle and why?

SOLD Zeiss LRP S3 6-36x56 Mri/MRAD in stock at cstactical.com

Zeiss LRP S3 6-36x56 Mri/MRAD in stock $2,499.00 https://cstactical.com/zeiss-lrp-s3-6-36x56/

The ZEISS LRP S3 first focal plane riflescopes provide the best-in-class total elevation travel. In the world of long-range rimfire competition, the little 22 LR cartridge is frequently pushed beyond its intended limits. In turn, the capabilities and performance of the riflescope are tested at the extreme - with a key limiting factor for many scopes being sufficient elevation travel.

ZEISS LRP S3 636-56 offers the best solution for medium to extreme long-range shooting. The 6x-36x magnification range is combined with a 32 MRAD elevation turret which supports more precise shot placements.

Overland Style Trailer w/ Flat Bed

I'm looking for something that might not exist, at least as far as my Google skill is concerned.

I hunt a lot, and all over the country. My vision is some type of Goose Neck trailer with a tilt deck or low-boy style deck, long enough to carry a bunch of Japanese quarter horses or a bigger SxS; maybe both.

What I'm struggling to find is an option that has some type of overland type setup for remote camping. I don't need the creature comforts, but would pay for them if there was an all-in-one type deal. Ideally looking for something 4-season.

I'm not looking for a Toy Hauler / Camper setup. Have one. Love it. Need something lighter that can take some abuse.

Anyone come across something of this nature?

Preston

SOLD Rifle stock duplicator CarverMaster $650!

CarverMaster stock duplicator. Can be used for guitars, table legs, etc as well.

Located in South Texas but willing to drive halfway to meet. Really don't want to ship this one but if someone wants it bad enough I can break it down and sell all the parts as I got them when new without the table. I built the table from 3/4" ply and used T slots so the tail stock can be easily positioned. Routered all the edges, finished in clear coat. Comes with everything to make a stock! Will include the router.

A link to the original kit from eBay:

These don't come with the router or the table and are currently going for ~$1200. This one has been used very little, I just don't have space for it anymore.

Asking $650 or trade me something cool for it.

-Dan
